We had wonder crab cakes as appetizer. Also ordered pizza as appetizer to try it - not impressed. The crust was burned but inside did not seem cooked enough. The pasta dishes ordered were worth it! Service was just OKAY.
Always dependable for good place to take out of towners, clients or friends
Have been to Pazzo many times.....this last time we were rushed. Sunday at 5pm, restaurant was not crowded and I had made a reservation for 4. Given a terrible table and between ordering, service, and tab deposited on the table the minute we said we would not be doing dessert, the experience was NOT as it has been in the past. Disappointed
Went to Pazzo before a show at Count Basie and we were very pleased. Solid all around as far as food and service. Would recommend.
The food was a let down but the poor service was the biggest surprise. This was not an inexpensive meal. Just another case of absentee management on a Saturday night. Save your money and go to a restaurant where the wait staff and managers care that you had a great meal and wonderful dining experience.
We went with friends for the first time. Food was great. A lot of selections. Service was also very good. Can be a bit noisy but manageable since it was a Saturday evening. Had a great time. We will return.
Pazzo is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent and the service outstanding. I ordered the shrimp oreganata and it had so much garlic I could not eat it. I should have sent it back. I have ordered that before and it is usually delicious.
Have dine there several times. Always consistent good menu selection and specials. Share fig pizza as starter
Portions were very big and well worth the price. Had the burrata and meatballs for appetizers and penne with vodka and Pazzo Chicken for entrees. Everything was very good and tasted fresh. Although the food was very good I didn’t think it was excellent but well worth the try!
Met with eight other former co-workers for our monthly dinner date. Pazzo’s is one our favorite stops. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We have been here a number of times and find it consistent. Don’t forget to say hello to Pat, the white haired gentleman.
Great meal at a marvelous restaurant. Food, wine, service, ambience - all were very good. Easy parking too.
We've been to Pazzo multiple times. The food is always great. Portion sizes are large and healthy. We never leave unsatisfied.
I would have loved to give this a high rating because the food was quite good but the restaurant needs to find a better way to manage table turnover and reservations, especially on nights when there is a show at the nearby theater. We had a reservation for 6:30p but weren’t seated for about 45 min later because some show goers were lingering. Also, we learned from the server that there is a package deal between the theater and the restaurant and it looked like a wave of people who came in at 7p were seated before us. We had 3 hungry, elementary aged kids with us who were patient but the wait didn’t help. Also, I wish the server would have brought the kids meals out with the appetizers. (I know I could have asked). That said our server was pleasant and the staff was very accommodating for our food allergies.
We love Pazzo’s. We had a large party & you were very accommodating. The food was excellent & the service outstanding. Thank you.
Great food- pleasant staff
Food was excellent and the service was great as usual.
Always excellent food, excellent service!
Over all quite good. Easter dinner so crowded and had to wait longer than expected but it has a nice bar. If you are gonna wait...
Atmosphere and people were nice. Some of the food was good like their chicken wings and cheese and meat platter. Entree’s not so good. Fried eggplant was not breaded. Penne vodka was tasteless. Waitress was very sweet but not around enough. They did take off the Penne vodka which was accommodating.
As usual, the food was very good and the service was polite and accommodating.
Great service and the food was amazing! The portions are huge too. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Great food, great service, great bar.
Had reservations at 7:15. Place was packed but table was ready at exactly 7:15.
The papardell bolognese was very good and the scallops appetizer, my daughter had the Branzino dinner, very good .
Everything was delicious and half price wine Wednesday was a bonus! Mike our server was phenomenal and got us out on time for a show at Count Basie without us feeling rushed. The only negative is the bathroom - only two stalls for women? With a restaurant this size you have to do better. The line on a busy night was 10 minutes long.
Pazzo has incredible food with impeccable, friendly service
The food and service were very good. I was surprised being an Italian restaurant that there was no Italian bread served with the entree. Also with an entree as heavy as chicken parmesan, I was surprised the side entree was not a green leafy vegetable. The choices were rice or potato croquettes. I would definitely go back but these are just two items the food management should reconsider.
My only real complaint is, the hostess had an attitude.
I have never been disappointed eating here. I have brought many friends here as our dinner spot before attending Count Basie events. They always ask if you are seeing a show to ensure you are finished with your dining experience in time for the show. Great place
I would not go out of my way to dine at Pazzo again. The food was not bad, but it wasn't awesome either. Especially for the price, I don't believe the value is there. In addition, it is extremely loud, to the point where we were barely able to hear each other.. and we were sitting outside! I had a similar experience several years ago, but decided to give it another try, since I was with a group of friends who hadn't been there and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, my experience this time was no different from the first. But despite the lackluster food, I have to say that the service was excellent.. the only bright spot of the evening.
Christen W was an awesome server. Food was great. We always make reservations at Pazzo when we go to the Count Basie theater. One of the best restaurants in Red Bank.
Cocktails were excellent; filet mignon and shrimp oreganato were excellent; zuchini noodles were a bit dente versus al dente; pizelle tower for two was outstanding. Service was great.
This was my first and last time at this restaurant. Our waiter took a long time to come and take our drink order, then brings me a glass of wine when I ordered a bottle. We ordered a meat a cheese plate to share, it was very cold, but ok. While we were still eating our appetizer, they served our main dish! We asked that they take it back as we were still eating. They brought back the same dishes that they returned to the kitchen, because my husband's pasta was hardened and my veal was cold. This is a $30 dish, Veal Milanese, pounded til there's no meat and no flavor. Even when they brought me out a new dish, it wasn't good, but I was hungry and ate it. The bill was $131 for one drink, a $32 bottle of wine, an appetizer and 2 main dishes. It would be worth it, if it was good. The waiter apologized and offered coffee on the house. Big deal. I'll never return and do not recommend it, especially at those prices.
Terrific place joined my sister who was visiting from Hawaii and my nephew.
The attention from the waitress could have been more friendly, she did not
introduce herself to us rather odd. Anyhow, it was terrific food enjoyed
Made a reservation from the parking garage at 8:35 for 8:45. A snowstorm was coming, but the weather was not bad and the reservations went past 9:00 on OpenTable. We were told that the kitchen was closing early at 9 (it was 8:40 by then) and we could get takeout or we would have to order right away. Ordered immediately, tried to be considerate because we were in a hurry anyway, and asked what they could prepare the fastest. Then we noticed that the manager (?) was speaking angrily and gesturing towards us. Tables were bused and the restaurant was closing all around us. Our waitress was gracious and attentive, but this was the worst experience to have at a restaurant. We've been here many times in the past but it will be quite a while before we go back. Rude. When we left there were still plenty of people at the bar, and a few outside. Worst, most awkward experience.
I can't say enough about the food. It is so beautifully presented that you don't want to disturb the art, but then you do it and the flavors explode in your mouth and you do a little foodie dance. We had Purple horse as our wine selection. It was the best wine I have had in a long time. So good in fact, we went through 3 bottles. Our waitress was extrodinary. She had the best personality, always checked in, adjusted heat lamps and joked along with the entire table. She is a remarkable addition to the Pazzo establishment.
Thank you and Pazzo for a night to remember!!!
This is our go to restaurant before attending a show at the Count Basie. The staff is friendly and the food is always very good.
Had a great pre-theater dinner Monday night. What a wonderful experience! The four of use split 3 appetizers, four pasta dishes and had scads of cocktails. The mood was up and energetic, our server was professional and friendly. Our food was terrific--I recommend the pappardelle bolognese over the orecchiette. Calamari was exceptional as was the burrata. The cannoli shells were a bit soft.
The place was energetic as it was early. Drinks were well made.
We will be back the next time we are in town!
HAVE DINED AT PAZZO SEVERAL TIMES FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD . THIS TIME IT WAS NOT
