Pazzo Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was not our first time.
Food is consistently very good. We were there on a Saturday night. It was packed. Service was very.good in spite.of.crowd. it was too noisy. We were seated next to a large party celebrating a birthday. We could not hear each other. Will probably keep this a week night place. If you like noise, this is the place for u.
Very crowded so people must love it. Reservations are a must. Drinks and bar area are nice if you can get a seat. Def try to go off hours. All staff pleasant and friendly. Location is great bc there’s plenty of parking available in the garage next door. I think honestly that’s the reason why it’s a go to place for many. The food is not terrific. The meatball appetizer was dry. My gnocchi with lobster was mushy and I believe (maybe I’m wrong) that there was filler seafood rather than all lobster in there. If it were truly lobster gnocchi wouldn’t there be identifiable lobster pieces visible? Idk We ordered the veal Milanese which was dry. It’s a tricky dish but it was just not great. Sorry!!!! I wasn’t even going to review the restaurant but the open table app popped up on my phone asking how my dinner was. To sum up: great location, bar great, employees accommodating and friendly, atmosphere lively, food average. :)
Pazzo has been consistently perfect since its conception. I have dined here when I was married, had romantic dinners, brought my children here as a family when they were little. Sadly, met with a lawyer here regarding my pending divorce, met friends here after work, had a couple of first dates here and most recently celebrated the accomplishments of my now grown children. Pazzo has always been the perfect environment for my life's ups and downs. I used to work at Count Basie where I highly recommended Pazzo for both pre and post theatre.
I appreciate this establishment and look forward to hopefully many more celebrations.
Unfortunately my kids made fun of me when I asked that we take a picture at our recent visit
We frequent this restaurant and were disappointed by most of the food on this visit. Filet was requested medium and it came out burnt. The arugula on my Veal Milanese was drenched in a sweet dressing and leached onto the meat so taking it off didn't help much. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she said sorry and brought me an undressed salad with onions (I had requested no onions initially). As we had theater tickets and the meals were slow to arrive (we did inform our waitress), we could not ask for new meals. Not one of their better nights.
Good food, good value & good service . . . lemon wings appetizer were great & no complaints from the group about entrees . . pappardelle was a big hit & the MOR pizza was very tasty. Very convenient to the Count Basie Theater before a show with parking next door . . . we'll be back next time we go to a show at the Basie!!!
Came to Pazzo for New Year's Eve pre-concert dinner with a 6:30 reservation. We arrived early and they immediately sat us. We were in no rush because the concert didn't start until 9 and the theater was a few blocks away. Drinks came. We ordered a clam pie for an appetizer and two main courses and a bottle of wine. When the clam pie arrived, so did the two entrees. We immediately sent them back and summoned the waiter and told him what happened. He said it was his fault and that he would get yelled at by the kitchen. He assured us that things would get better -- WRONG! Just as we had finished about half of the appetizer and were still eating, the entrees arrived again. Once again had to summon the waiter and this time he said it was the kitchen's fault. At this point, we had only been in the restaurant for 45 minutes and it was not full, so we could not understand why the rush. I told the waiter that I did not want to see the entrees again until I told him that we were ready for them. I also reiterated that we were in no rush and did not plan on leaving the restaurant before 8:30. Fortunately, there were no more glitches and the meal was good. We noticed, however, as tables began to fill in around us, that by 8:00 PM, service staff was telling diners that they were already sold out of the lobster special for the evening. Pazzo's proximity to the Count Basie Theater gives it an advantage for filling up tables. We have been there before and although the food is good and the portions more than, there was always something about the service that was lacking.
I really like Pazzo, we went early (3:45) on NYE meal was great as usual. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was even though they were empty inside we were sat out in the sidewalk tent. You might think we froze but it was the opposite- the overhead heat lamps were so intense it was a little unpleasant. Food here is always amazing!
Very noisy. Too crowded. Service staff tried to provide good service but the restaurant was too crowded. Food delivered was different than the description in the menu.
Our table was by the door and it was very cold every time the door opened.
We visit Pazzo probably 7 or 8 times a year and I see they are falling into a trap as once described by the great Yogi Berra, "it is too crowded, no one goes there any more"
This was our first visit to Pazzo. Food was outstanding as was the service offered by Justin our waiter. We did dine in early (6:00 PM) but the place really got going and very busy around (7:00 PM). We live in Naples Florida but have family here in New Jersey. We do visit our family and friends up in NJ about 4 times a year and will be returning to Pazzo in Red Bank for sure.
We where in town meeting friends for dinner before heading to Count Basie to see a show. The restaurant and the staff is aware of that fact and keeps an eye on the time for you so you’re not late for the show. The service is great. The food is great. The convenience of parking your car in the building attached to the restaurant is super easy. And, the theater had a jitney running back and forth from the restaurant to the theater at a very reasonable price. It’s a very nice addition to the evening.
Dined here again tonight. As usual it was lively and nice. They have found a good combination of casual and romantic. You can go to Pazzo for a business dinner, for a date, with friends and even with well behaved kids (not with little monsters).
As usual the employees who we've met before stopped by our table for a quick chat and friendly hello. Our waitress was a little... something, maybe stressed, tired or otherwise slightly grumpy. When I ordered the SPAGHETTINI she didn't understand me. After three attempts, she asked me to point it out on the menu and said "Oh the spaghetti funghi". I thought I must have read the menu wrong so when I got home I looked online and it really is SPAGHETTINI. I'm not writing that in caps, I copied / pasted from the menu.
The waitress offered us grated cheese and pepper. Neither were fresh ground. The cheese was in a bowl and probably came from the green can. The pepper was typical black pepper in a glass shaker.
I like this place, the people who work there and the food. I've been there before and I'm sure I'll go back, they just aren't very refined.
The menu had what may be a new item, shrimp oreganata. I didnt have that but it sounded delicious and I'm still thinking about it. Maybe next time...
The last time or two that we went there, there was a manager roaming around the room like a shark. He apparently wasn't there
This was our first time trying Pazzo’s. We just moved to the area. We were very impressed. The food was awesome and our waitress was wonderful , friendly and always smiling. It was a pleasure. It was very loud so we made our next reservation for the patio area. Can’t wait! Can’t say enough about the food!
