Paymon's is a great place to kick the night off in Vegas. The happy hour specials are great, and the hookahs are even better. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food wasn't too bad either. We enjoyed hot wings and cheese sticks with our drinks and hookahs. This is one of my favorite places to visit when I come to Vegas. Can't wait to return.
5 women with gifts. Anthony (our waiter) was a charming facilitator. Great food and service. Hadn't been there since the Philharmonic moved to the Smith Center. Created 4 new patrons.
We found this restaurant searching on line for a Greek restaurant. It offers both Greek and Italian food dishes. My husband had the lamb which was marinated and tender. I had the a seafood - tilapia - sorry for the wrong spelling which was delicious. Slight breaded and served with a mild lemon butter sauce.
I absolutely adore Paymon's. The service is great, food is great... PERIOD. The Athens fries and the Sour Drink is mmmmmmmm...We had refills of the Sour Drink and it wasn't free refills! LOL @ us... oh well, it was worth it.
I was surprised how authentic each dish was. Italian, Greek, etc.
Definitely off the Las Vegas Strip. Well worth the short taxi ride. Really good food and very attentive service.
Great food. Good variety on menu with great prices
The menu is truly broad - from Italian to Indian (not that I see India as Mediterranean but, okay), including Turkish, Greek, Israeli, Lebanese, etc. The strip mall setting has a large diner-like room, a smaller, quiet, more intimate middle dining room, and a hookah lounge, all connected. The food was good, not fantastic, and for a restaurant that was reasonably empty, the service wasn't as attentive as I would have liked.
I have been a regular patron here. Love their selection of Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Had a very nice meal, enjoyed the atmosphere and music was great! Everything went well, the service got slower as it got busier though. We waited for quit a while for our to-go boxes and for our waitress to bring the bill. Everything else was nice. Will definitely be back.
Always satisfied the atmosphere and food....................................................................................................................
relaxing ambiance compared to hectic casino scene, food was average, service was great.
We found this restaurant via a web search for vegan restaurants in Las Vegas. Our server didn't seem 100% vegan familiar, but my meal was tasty and filling. My meat-eating wife was more than satisfied with her food as well.
Four of us went to Paymon's on a Saturday evening. It was a quiet when we arrived at 6:30, but got busy by 7PM. Our waitress was professional and provided good service. She offered suggestions that turned out to be very good. We were able to get two appetizers & two entrees, and that was plenty of food for four.
We shared the Saganaki (Greek Cheese) and falafel appetizers. The Saganaki was excellent, and the falafel was good. I’ve had better falafel, but we were pleased with it nonetheless. For dinner we had Fesenjan, which was great! It was very tasty and plenty for the two of us. Our friends had the broiled chicken kabob, and they said it was excellent. We would recommend Paymon’s because of good food, service, and a central location.
Attending Paymon's around noon on a Sunday for a business meeting. I've never been here before but I am definitely coming again. Great food and atmosphere. Menu is incredible! You had me at gluten-free! The music was oddly picked but my group and I started dancing with it. Great time, I can't wait to go again!
Initial impression was good however that quickly changed after we were seated and another table was seated within 6 inches of ours so we were forced to listen to someone elses conversation throughout the entire evening.
Appetizer: Dolmas supposed to be hot was served cold.
Entree: Baked kibbe platter with house salad and bismati rice. also cold however was served on hot plate with salad (warm and wilted) on the same plate as entree as opposed to a separate chilled salad plate. Kibbe was cold with no flavor and under seasoned. tasted like plain ground beef shaped to look like Kibbe. Bismati rice: cold and no flavor. Portions: way to large.
Worst Mediterranean Ive had
Food was excellent, service was great, a true local landmark
Great food and service and would highly recommend!
Not as good as I remember 20 years ago. I don't think their falafel was made that day and it should have been!
Great food and ambiance. I think the waitress forgot about us for a bit, but she was pleasant.
Good food. Good value. Something for everyone's taste. It is a cafe setting inside so during busy time, it could gat loud with tables close. All tables, no booths. It's in a strip mall so easy to miss but if you know it's there, easy to get to. Went twice during our stay. Will go again on our next visit to Vegas. Our waiter, Anthony, was excellent. Attentive but not stalking you.
It had been over 5 years since I had last visited this restaurant which I always enjoyed. Upon entering, the hostess seemed confused at to why I was there (!). In any case, our server was not very friendly and never check in on us during the entire meal. The bus boy took our desert order as the server never came back. Upon finding this out, our server rudely informed us that ordering from the bus boy was a big no-no. Had he bothered to check in on us during the meal, that would not have occurred. Our food was tasty and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The server needs training on customer service. I made sure his tip reflected his lack of service.
We are from out of town and ate here with friends in April. We were back again in Oct. and went again with some other friends and had a great time. My wife and I are vegan, but Paymons has a great selection of both vegan and regular selections so anybody's taste can be satisfied.
Food was excellent; service was good. We were seated near the door to the Lounge and it was too noisy and busy. Otherwise, would have been the perfect evening.
The food is always great = try the lamb kabobs - they are out of this world.
There was a group of us and the waiter was great.
Have been going to Paymon's for years. The food and service is always outstanding. We celebrate birthdays and anniversary's here every year. Their selection is great and everything is always very appealing and satisfying.
Appreciated the proactive email about dining at Paymon's for Mother's Day! It was wonderful, delicious and the service was outstanding and very personable!
Loved my first experience there! Took my boyfriend for his 18th birthday dinner and the food was great. When I found out the hookah lounge was only for 21+, it really disappointed me. I guess one drawback to being near the strip. I would definitely come back.
Took my friend out to lunch on April 3rd. This is my bf's parents' favorite Mediterranean restaurant so I thought my friend would enjoy it. We opted for the outdoor seating to take advantage of the weather. The server was prompt to take our drink orders and serve our appetizer. However, after she left we realized we had no silverware. We waited for about 8 minutes but she didn't come back so we ate our falafels with our hands. A different server walked by so we asked him for silverware. He came back with them but without without napkins except for that the thin one that was wrapped around the silverware. Our server showed up with our entrees later so we asked her for napkins. When our drinks were empty the server was nowhere to be found.
We loved the food and environment! The server was very rude at the end of our meal when she pretty much called me cheap for wanting to put an order of fries on the gift certificate I had (For the record, I am far from cheap). She put it on the wrong bill and I didn't want my friend to have to pay for it and I had a remaining balance on the gift certificate. I loved everything expect for the rude server. I do appreciate how polite the manager was in fixing this situation.
Not an authentic meditteranean restaurant. Food was just ok. Nothing special.
Food is always great here. Ambiance...not so good. Go for the food.
The atmosphere is very nice with beautiful paintings on the walls; intimate and inviting, and the food is the best! I have been a patron for years and will continue to be!
I had not been to this restaurant in several months - but I was not disappointed. The food was every bit as good as I remember. Nice surprise too was that on Wednesday
you receive a 25% discount on the entire bill.
Very pleasant atmosphere and was a great Valentine's Day experience. Food was extremely good.
Everyone I asked about Paymon's recommended it. Overall, I thought it was a great place to go if you're looking for a place with good food for a reasonable price.
They provided a great birthday experience for my girl. They even put my cake in the fridge and set it out at the appropriate time and took really good care of all of us. Plus the food came out quickly and tasted excellent. Thanks
Very friendly. Food was delicious.
I've been there multiple times, and it was good before, but that night when I went there with a group of nine, no one liked it. The rice was old, and cold. The chicken kabob was burnt. We told the server and after a while they brought another one which was a little better but still burnt. The koobideh was not cooked well. The color of koobideh was not good.
The bread they brought with the appetizer that we ordered, was old and it looked like they microwaved it a little to make it warm. No one touched the bread.
Not a good experience! It was my graduation dinner, but no one liked it!
We go here quite often with work related events, within walking distance from UNLV and always great food and services
