Beautiful spot for lunch with a spectacular view of the bay! Food was fine; simple fare, nothing gourmet which for the time you spend here is adequate. QR codes are the norm but they do bring menu's out as well (perfect for my traditional sensibilities). Order at the counter makes it simple if that's how you want to play. Overall I would recommend for a two or more group lunch where it is conversation, the view and sun that are more your style.

It was our first visit and the food and service were underwhelming. We were seated and told to order via a QR code which I find so impersonal. I prefer good old fashioned service. We ordered coffees which we requested extra hot and they came out warm. We didn’t complain about it and just drank the coffees quickly. Then our dishes came out. We had ordered eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms. The bread wasn’t toasted nor did it have butter which we had ordered via the QR code. The entire dish was cold and I had to walk it back to the kitchen (given there’s no real customer service). I can’t say I would recommend this place as our experience wasn’t great. The food is overly priced for what we received.

Food was fantastic. Restaurant is a vibe and very pretty. Service was great and very positive. I can only say that I wasn’t a fan of the $3.50 service fee because it was a weekend (not a public holiday). Just made the experience quite expensive

Even though it was a cold day we decided to sit outside, as it was crowded and noisy inside. The setting right near the swimming pool is so beautiful. The food was good and the service prompt and friendly. I would recommend the Pavilion for its iconic representation of Geelong’s waterfront culture.

Such a wonderful place located at such an iconic part of Geelong. Enjoyed on a beautiful summers day (in spring 🤣). Great for young child and great grandma. A beautiful brunch that highly recommend

On a warm day the doors were open so the noise of the general population outside affected our dining experience. A table of 4 women, we were literally ignored for 20 mins until one of us found a waiter to at least have a menu to view. I ordered a plain omelette which came on the plate with no greenery (like parsley) or a small salad for colour. We were all disappointed.

My husband and I had our three Grand children with us. Ordering was confusing. Using the QR card was OK for food but you don’t couldn’t order wine by the glass. The waiter took our order. I ordered two adult burgers which were delicious. I ordered 2 x waffles and popcorn chicken for the 3 kids. Unbeknownst to me they brought out 2 x adult waffles, a $30 difference to the kids waffles, and no sides with the dried up popcorn chicken. The smoothies were expensive as was the NZ wine. Overall a very expensive and disappointing experience.

Very relaxed atmosphere for a family catchup with large numbers. Efficient food delivery and easy service, kids were able to play and swim while some parents had their 2nd coffee. Very good overall.

The renovation of the Pavilion is lovely and it is a pleasant place. The service was efficient. Only downsides were 1. that the open door (which opens towards the beach) caused a constant cold breeze, which would be lovely on a warm day, but was undesirable on a cool day and 2. The smashed avocado contained too much pepper for our liking.

A fabulous place, we have had several good meals here. On this occasion it took them an hour, and several prompts from us, to tell us they didn't have the ingredients for one person's meal. Refund can't be processed immediately. Other meals were dry. Such a shame, systems needs significant improvement.

Exceptional service was provided by one staff member in particular (I think it was Sarah) however we were disappointed in the value for money with the food. The chilli scrambled dish was scrambled egg on one piece of toast (I had imagined a piece or two of sourdough, or equivalent, similar to what I have received at other cafes. My dish contained one of two shreds of chilli while my daughters dish had no chilli at all. When ordering white wine I was given the riesling instead of a Sauvignon Blanc. I would recommend this venue if there is some change made to the value for meals.

Appalling service! Staff seemed miserable especially the female waitress with American accent. I get it Fathers Day and you’re working in hospital but really? We are turning up to eat and drink at the venue that pays your wages, at least seem a little bit happy to see us?! Food took almost 2 hours to be delivered to our table, our kids were not happy! Was told to us that the ‘dockets hade come through from upstairs bar to down stairs kitchen. The only compliment I will leave is at least they offered us a free round of drinks… which we mentioned we were thankful for however didn’t win us over to return to the venue again. Unfortunate as it’s the most beautiful location in Geelong

I really wanted to enjoy me time here but sadly I found my experience very frustrating. I booked in for 6 people however when I got there I was shown to a long table that had another family on one end, I pointed out I had booked for six people to be told " this is a table for 6, count the chairs! 1,2,3,4,5......oh I'll get another chair" the problem with this was the chairs were bolted to the ground so adding another chair meant someone was off to the corner of the table and the chairs that were set at the table to begin with, two of them you had to straddle a table let to get into. At 11 o'clock many items on the menu were sold out which was disappointing, they did replace my latte after a seagull pooped in it, we then waited 40 mins for our eggs on toast and croissant, which we had to ask twice about. Even though we were disappointed with the service they did a nice ham and cheese croissant. I would try again because the quality of the food was good and it is in such a great location; hopefully next time they have a few more staff on.

The setting is lovely in a warm sunny day. We did need to wait 15 minutes for our table despite being only 3 minutes early. The meals were delicious and fresh with generous portions.

I booked a table for lunch after having coffee in your newly renovated space which is lovely. Unfortunately lunch was not great, we both ordered the Chilli Eggs which was bland, tasted like no salt was added at all. The eggs seemed overcooked and not fluffy. The sour dough was almost stretchy to try and cut. We also had a glass of prosecco and tea/coffee. For what we paid $43.50 each I thought was outrageous considering the poor quality of the food. I would be reluctant to book again unless I can be assured the rest of the menu is better than the Chilli Eggs.

Excellent service. The pavillon supervisor ( I assume he was a supervisor ) was so great. Very welcoming and was so accommodating to our large group . Great food. Great coffee and amazing views . Couldn’t recommend more.
