   Really well-run restaurant. Creative and well prepared dishes, just enough dishes to provide variety without overwhelming you with choices. Knowledgeable and very attentive service. Atmosphere is modern, hip but not pretentious. Noise level is loud enough to feel alive, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream across the table or ask the person across from you to repeat their sentence. First time in a while that I've really been impressed with a dinner out. Everything seems to work. A level above. Will definitely be back.

   Service was excellent, my cocktail was ok. Ordered mussels for my meal, a few of them had turned, and there was still a lot of sand/grit in several of them. The white wine broth was delicious so it was a shame about the mussels. Crème brulee for dessert, it was very watery, less like a custard maybe almost like thick milkshake consistency, but still smooth. Served with apples in caramel, the apples were very delicious. Almost wish I had just stuck with small plates to share, the small pate menu looked great, just didn't order anything from it as we were short on time. I think maybe I will go back and give it another try for the small plates, I will stay away from the specials...

   Nice having a restaurant with a creative and tasty menu in this area. Staff eager to help. Chef even came out to explain how he prepared his roasted cauliflower dish when we asked the server about it. We met Pauli; he's the cute youngster of the restaurant's owner.

   Perfect illustration of two things: 1) a restaurant can be whatever it wants to be and do it well, no matter how eclectic and 2) city-worthy great food can be had in the suburbs. Outstanding, attentive, and prompt service that doesn’t feel rushed. Delicious food served hot when supposed to be hot and cold when supposed to be cold. Here’s hoping business is doing well!     Everything about our experience was wonderful. The food was delicious: the pate, guacamole, tuna tartare, roasted cauliflower and shrimp tacos were all fresh and delicious. Wine selection is great. Service was amazing and the owner couldn't be nicer. I will be back frequently.

    Paulie’s was absolutely great! The place was full, but we got a reservation for 6 and sat in a fun corner booth. We ordered wine and cocktails and everyone was impressed with the options. For appetizers we got the hummus with eggplant, tuna tartare, roasted carrots w/ whipped goat cheese, roasted cauliflower and we devoured it- the flavors were amazing. For dinner we chose beef braised ravioli, shrimp tacos, spicy ribs, Paulie’s burger and, again, everything was delicious. The ambiance was so cozy, lively, and enjoyable. Service was top-notch. Will absolutely recommend and be back!

    The food is really good. The overall service needs a bit of help. We order drinks immediately to enjoy before our dinner. Unfortunately, the drinks came after our dinner was served, which was 20mins later. Ordered a second drink, which took another 15 mins to get. By then we had the check in our hands. Honestly, the crew just seemed off their game and a bit overwhelmed with how busy the restaurant was that night (Saturday). With all this, we would still go back but not on a weekend.     Every dish was flavorful! We had the cauliflower, Korean ribs and braised beef ravioli. Highly recommend this restaurant if in the area or worth getting out of Chicago for. The staff and service were wonderful from the minute we set foot into the restaurant. Will be back!

    Our first visit to Paulie's and the four of us had a great meal and enjoyable time. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the hummus and the eggplant served with it. Our server was attentive and pleasant. We did not get one of our small plates and they immediately brought it us in a go box with a complimentary dessert (lemon cake which was also very good). We look forward to another visit on our next trip to Chicago.

    We recently moved to the area from the West Loop and were concerned about what the dining options would be when we left. Thankfully, we found Paulie's on our first night here and have now been three times in the past month. It is fantastic, we've ordered something different each time and one thing is better than the next! The owner Steve is always so friendly and attentive as are the rest of his staff. Needless to say, we've found our new favorite spot that far surpasses many we used to go to in the city.

    Food is excellent! The Brussels sprout salad and Thai noodles are so flavorful. My husband had the braised ravioli and felt the same. We have eaten in restaurants from Highwood to Wheeling and all over the North shore….the food here is top notch. My slight negatives making this a 4 not a 5. Overall a bit pricey for portions. Didn’t love the tv in the dining room as this is not a sports bar by any means.. they should move that to the bar…I will absolutely go here again.

    We had a reservation at 6, but the bar looked so inviting that we just sat there to eat. Great drinks and service. Tuna tartar to start. Amazing! We had the pasta and the shrimp tacos. So Many choices. We look forward to going back soon

    Good neighborhood spot but a little pricey. Roasted cauliflower at $16? It was good but I don't get it. The shrimp on the sesame noodles were delicious, but the noodles were just ok. The shwarma wings were ok too, but the harissa yogurt served with them was top notch. The service was nice but uneven. Friendly and professional when he was there (a lot early on) but there were long periods where we didn't see him at all. I'd go back to try more things. It's a nice space and well located for the movie theater and a good addition to the Glen. I like that it's smaller and a nicer ambiance than the larger, chain or chain-like restaurants nearby.

    We dined at Paulie's twice in the last several days, returning because we had a good experience the first time. Wait staff very attentive and friendly. We had ahrimp tacos and a special octopus dish, preceded by a brussels sprout salad. All were excellent. It is a busy and lively place with a bar and plenty of tables, but the sound level was not a problem. I generally avoid loud restaurants, but this atmosphere was fun without the sensory overload. They were late seating us for our reservation on the first visit, but could not have been more apologetic and accommodating, despite the fact we did not express the slightest concern about the 15-20 minute wait. The second visit we had no wait at all. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.

    We used to come here all the time when it was called Flight. We learned that Steven Felton was back and now it is called Paulie’s. The menu is new and we tried the burger; which was the right size and perfectly cook and the French fries were cooked to perfection. I had the cold noodles with Shrimp and loved the flavors combination. For dessert we had the apple upside down cake- Amazing!!! Service was fantastic!! We will be back!

    First time there and it won’t be the last! My wife and I went on a Saturday night to have a little date without our kids. When we got there, Steve (the owner) came to our table so we asked him what we should try. He talked up the burger, but I was skeptical as everybody says they have the “best burger” around. It literally was the best burger I think I’ve ever had. My wife said to me “I’m going to be dreaming of that burger. In fact, everything we had was fantastic - roasted carrots, shrimp tempura, bucatini carbonara, and even the fries were awesome. Great restaurant overall whether it is a date night, family dinner, or drinks with friends.
