Good food and service, but wine situation was unacceptable. I ordered a bottle of 2018 Justin Cabernet Sauvignon ($70). Waiter brought a bottle and started to open it when I noticed it was a 2020. He said they didn’t have the 2018. I ordered another cab sauv (a 2018) and he came back to say the same thing. Turns out they had none of the vintages shown on the wine list for any of the wines available by glass and bottle - only younger ones. (The higher end bottle-only vintages apparently were still available as shown on the wine list.) Manager on duty claimed it was a supply issue. I can accept that, but they need to update their wine list accordingly instead of being willing to pour something the customer didn’t order (and charging the same price).

We chose Paul Martin because we knew the food would be top-notch and that we would be able to converse. While it was on the noisy side, it was much less than other popular restaurants (especially Lure and Finney’s) where acoustics make conversation a yelling match.

Great meal for the family on Mother's Day. We were all handed dinner menus at 1130am, but the whole special brunch and regular lunch menu was available. Everything is typically undersalted, but I prefer that. The mains were excellent. Biscuits are a must have.

This did not disappoint. We started with the artichoke/spinach dip served with seasoned and baked flat bread. It was the best we ever had and we have had plenty. The chicken parmigiana was excellent, as are their creamy mashed potatoes. The blackened ribeye was also very good but could have been a bit more tinder. In Al we are raring this at 4.5 stars and definitely plan on returns

Just one complaint. My son ordered a vegan burger and they served a vegetarian (not vegan) sauce. He had eaten half his burger before finding this out and this kinda ruined it for him. I think some people might be extremely unhappy about this so I feel like it should be written or verbalized for vegan eaters. I hope that you will consider changing this for the future.

We went to Paul Martin's in Westlake Village for LA Restaurant Week. Their special prix fixe menu for $45 each (excluding drinks, tax, tip) appealed to us and we weren't disappointed. Our meal was really good. I had the chicken tortilla soup as a starter (lots of cilantro so don't order if you don't like cilantro) and my husband ordered the french onion soup (he enjoyed it.) For our main course I had the sustainable steelhead salmon (extra kudos to the restaurant for offering sustainable fish) cassoulet which was excellent. My husband order the braised short rib and mashed potatoes which he also enjoyed (it does not come with any vegetable, but he was fine with that.) For dessert we both had their cheesecake which was also delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive.

The special prime rib dinner enticed us to go. It was worth it. Cooked well, it was served with a substantial fresh salad that was appropriately dressed. Our server was nice. Restaurant is clean and casual. We haven’t been here in a long time but definitely need to go more often.

I can recommend the ahi poke lettuce cup starter as this was very fresh and delicious. The Steelhead salmon sandwich never disappoints! But the Asian noodle chicken salad was a complete miss for both my fiance and myself, as the chicken chunks are hard and overcooked, the mango chunks were hard and unripe, and the noodles were just plain weak.

We arrived for our reservation and seated very quickly. Our server was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made sure we were all happy with our meals. We enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer. The short rib dinner was delicious and the French Dip was good. The seafood pasta was not special, and the Mac n cheese was average. We enjoyed the Oregon Pinot offered on the by-the -glass wine list. All in all it was a very good dinner.

Early Saturday night dinner for 2 of us. Shared a delicious glass of Daou cabernet and then enjoyed a perfectly cooked burger and a french dip sandwich with a side of seasoned brussel sprouts. Half the sandwich and much of the fries from both dishes came home with us along with some brussel sprouts. AND, they packed a chocolate cake for dessert at home: soooo good. Our server, Will, was all over us but not intrusive. It was an excellent experience.
