Paul Martin's American Grill - Scottsdale
Great food, service, and evening
Great menu and happy hour
Good food. Usually better than what we had this time, but we will go back. Service was not great. Took a long time for food to come out.
Great service-wonderful location.
Reminded me of a J.Alexanders and found out later it had been one prior to become Paul Martin's
Would come back again...
We visit this Restaurant yearly as we come from another country. It's a great spot, always full of great food and friendly staff. Had two wonderful visits on this trip and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to eat the best at a very reasonable price with some class !!

Remains our go to restaurant for almost any occasion. Service is incredible especially in the bar and at the high tops. Great value, good people, great food.
Great lunch with Sally! Enjoyed sitting at the bar. She greeted us with biscuits!
made reservation. Seated outside at a round folding table (there were about 6 of these tables) with folding chairs (clearly just wanted to fill space) watching other patrons sitting at nice tables with comfy chairs. Service was good, food tasty but way too expensive. Who serves a $50 steak at a folding table and chairs???
John the server—ASK FOR HIM!!’ He’s outstanding!!!
We had the most polite waiter. It made the evening very pleasurable. His name is Cortney.
This was our first time at Paul Martin's. We had lunch, around 11:30, so the place wasn't crowded at all. We were seated right away by the pleasant hostess. Our server was right there, got us water and drinks, gave us plenty of time to check out the vast menu and wine selection. We were not disappointed. Had read several reviews about the place and I'd have to say they were spot on. For lunch, brunch, a special night out, this place has you covered. Thanks
The food was fantastic, and the restaurant is beautiful. Scott was our server, and he was awesome, very kind and on top of everything. I’d highly recommend Paul’s for any occasion
We like this restaurant a lot but big days like Easter and Valentines Day is not the same great service and food quality.
Always a great experience and our server Courtney did an excellent job!!!!!!
Our friends and us had a terrific time, excellent waiter. We’ll be back. Thanks
The staff was attentive and the food was yummy.
The service was AWFUL. Waited over 10 minutes just for a waiter to make an appearance. Then another 15 minutes to get a glass of water and to order. We went specially for the chocolate cake they used to have, deliciously decadent. They changed it out to a dry chocolate layer cake that u can buy in a grocery store. Definetly won’t be back.
We used to love this place but in the last almost a year there were several corporate changes to the menu, food quality, staff and management. Sadly it just isn't the same. We live here year round but I'm certain the winter people will keep the restaurant busy. Carl is a a new wait person and he was excellent.
It use to be a lot better. Lately not as good, always short orn servers who are working too many tables.
Lunch time may be better than dinner. Happy Hour at the bar is still good!
First time I went here everything was amazing. I have been back twice and ordered the same ribeye and mashed potatoes I did the first time and both times the steak was horrible and the potatoes cold. Don’t think I will go back.
The only reason I did not give our overall experience a 5-star rating is that we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our table even though we made a reservation for 6:30. We were told by the hostess that the restaurant overbooks the reservations and they estimate each table's turnaround time to be 2 hours.
Great restaurant for tasty food and especially good service.
They have very poor control over reservations. Out Reservation was for 630, we were not taken to our table until 700. Not sure why they take a reservation that they cant honor....we weren't the only ones
For the price I have to say the overall experience was ok. Hostess staff were rude and unhelpful in trying to work out a reservation problem. Food took a very long time to get to our table - 50 minutes for 2 appetizers and 1 hour after that for entrees (for 5 people). Food was good when it arrived and our server was very nice.
Good food and service. Just a bit noisy for us.
We had so many high hopes for this place. The service was very disappointing, the drinks and food food took a while to come. The food was not worth the price paid and was lacking flavor as well. The server never keep up with our drink needs, waited a long time in between courses to offer things and had to wait almost 30mins after finishing dinner to get plates cleared out and dessert menu. Not sure we would go back since so many other amazing places in the area.
The food was mediocre but the service was great. The fried chicken was a wing, a leg and a thigh and difficult to eat. The French Dip, which they said was made with Prime Rib, was not.
They also allowed people to stand between two tables and talk for over 15 minutes which was very distracting. This is not expected in an upscale restaurant.
I tried to make this a special date for my wife's birthday, but it did not turn out that way.
The waiter was great. He was very good about checking with the chef as my grandson has severe food allergies. Wonderful brussel sprouts!
Portions were large, service was good, but the food was average. The chicken in my salad was very dry. There was nothing exceptional about the experience that would warrant a recommendation.
Group of us had lunch recently. It wasn’t busy but food took forever. When it finally arrived, we were disappointed. Three had the French dip. Horrible! Cold, flavorless!
Steak salad...The steak could have stopped a bullet. I wouldn’t go back!!
Loved sitting on the patio in February and feeling comfortable. The mushroom sup is a must as so flavorful and decadent! Like the vegetarian/vegan offerings as well as the Halibut ...celebrating an anniversary with friends.
My standby. Great food and great location. Especially love the burger.
We were seated by a wonderful host and was attended shortly after being seated. Our server made some suggestions but we were pretty much settled on the brunch menu. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday. We both ordered a mimosa first and then the crab cake Benedict with smashed potatoes. It was so delicious. The poached eggs, crab cakes were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were smashed and griddled crispy. They were perfect. Knowing we were there for a birthday our server had my sister select from the dessert menu. He brought her a slice of almond cake with a lit candle and it was divine. It was a perfect brunch meal. Kudos to the chefs, our server and wonderful host. Thank you for making a great day for us. We will be definitely coming back.
The manager Anthony was very accommodating to the increase in our party size. He went above and beyond as did our waiter John
Nice as always...very attentive staff & management personnel ....Highly recommended.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken was very dry. Some of the larger potatoes in the rustic potato salad were undercooked.
A great place to go when you visit with friends. It was very busy so the service was a little slower than usual but visiting with friends makes that ok too. I rather that than rushed.
The food was great. But what really stood out was the fact that we could have a conversation even while the dining room was full! That always makes the evening more enjoyable.
Outstanding food and service. The wait staff was quick and attentive. Price was reasonable and our choices of food options was satisfying.
