The food and service from our server Steve was outstanding! He went above and beyond and we will definitely be back again soon.
Sat at the bar over 10 minutes before any of the bartenders even acknowledged me. I put in an order for a glass of wine and a water to start. Several minutes later the bartender comes back to say they've run out of the wine I ordered (still no water). I order another and finally have a drink after being there over 20 minutes. Ordered the Fathers Day pre-fix prime rib, salad comes out promptly and then another waiter brings the prime rib not 2 minutes after I've started the salad. I told them I wasn't ready for the main entrée yet and I'm sure it sat under a heat lamp for 15 minutes before they brought it out again. Prime rib was barely warm. Worst service and food for the price I've had in a long long time.
Almost all special occasions are celebrated at this restaurant. Service, food and ambience are always consistently good. We have yet to be disappointed.
The restaurant was very busy for Father's Day, and the servers worked very hard to present the best service as expected at Paul Marin's but they seemed understaffed for the number of tables they had to cover.
The food was good, but the swordfish and the salmon dishes were overcooked.
The rule don’t go to a restaurant on a holiday should have been followed here. Came an hour before our reservation. Not seated on time. Placed in the bar with reservations made a week ago. Slow service. We are regulars and the manager avoided us as he tried to put in bigger tables, walk ons, disappointing. The food was good, once we got it.
Everything was excellent but we had patio seating and it was a bit warm even with coolers.
Fathers day menu super weak. Omelette for price was size tiny and the item said with Avocado toast which looked like a cracker with some trashy spread. Def not what you expect at Paul Martins. Was not happy at all.
I took my husband and a friend of ours out for Father’s Day brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was brought out quickly, hot and delicious. We always enjoy being at Paul Martin’s!
Booked this restaurant for a father's day dinner for 5. We ordered the wedge salad, braised short ribs, the fried chicken, the Filet mignon, and the Ribeye. Brussel sprouts and creamed corn for table sides, plus a chocolate cake and butter cake for dessert.
For the good:
The filet, fried chicken, creamed corn and butter cake all were fantastic.
For the bad:
We waited at least 45 minutes for our entrees and then another 30+ for dessert. It was pretty busy, but it would have been nice if someone had at least come and checked on us or given us a warning when we were ordering dessert.
The braised short rib was dry.
The Ribeye was not seasoned... nor was it well trimmed. For a nice steak, you expect the fat to be seared or rendered, you don't expect to be picking big chunks of silver skin out of your mouth.
The elote corn was actually a little tub of the same creamed corn we got as a table side.
The mashed potatoes on all the dishes were dehydrated... like they forgot to add liquid or butter... or salt? And cold.
Everything else was so-so... not good but not bad... and that includes the service and even the plating.
Overall, I wouldn't say it was bad... but for a $400 dinner I expect better. It's overpriced for the quality and lack of attention to details. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes next time and go to Rusconi's... Same price point, better food and service.
We have eaten at PM many times.
Great Restaurant. Great food service and ambience.
It was great, seated on time. Food, service and ambiance was great. Staff is very friendly and efficient!
Great service. Food was good but could have had more seasoning.
Our server wasn’t very friendly and didn’t seem to take his time taking orders plus mixed up with bills. Food was ok but Butter cake was overly greasy. I used go to the bar lots because community tables. So I was disappointed for selecting this place for my friends.
My parents came down from Tucson for an early Father’s Day dinner. Our server David was so attentive and kind! The shrimp linguine was to die for. We will most definitely be back!!
The cedar plank salmon and fried chicken were amazing. I would even recommend the deviled eggs appetizer. Great device as well.
Enjoyed our meal and John, our server, was terrific! Met a girlfriend for dinner. Happy that the music level is such that you can actually talk and not shout. Food is always consistently good.
never been disappointed with food, service or place.
Good food and good service. Great location, in the heart of Scottsdale.
Great food and service. Beautiful ambiance. Will come again!
It was my last night in Scottsdale and I really wanted a great steak. Found it at Paul Martin and will return my next trip to Scottsdale.
we hv been to this restaurant MANY times & they never disappoint! ambiance, food, service are always top notch.
Sunday, early afternoon. Sat at a booth inside. Waiter was very attentive.
When asked if we wanted bread and we answered yes, we were surprised at the three very small pieces we received. We were also disappointed at the greasiness of the $18 appetizer calamari (a bit pricey!)
The ribeye and mashed potatoes at $44 was good, but plain. At that price, we expected at least a salad or other veggie to be included. The salmon sandwich with avocado, arugula, pickled onion, and remoulade was good, but skimpy on the salmon and avocado and too generous with the sauce, which made the sandwich mushy. The included sweet potato fries were great, as were the Red Sangria and Manhattan drinks.
Maybe it was an off day versus the last time we went when we were in town.
I would give the service 10 stars if I could. Our server was absolutely fantastic. We had a large group and he made sure the evening was a memorable one. This place will get our return business for sure.
Excellent food and great, attentive service.
Went to Paul Martin’s -Scottsdale this week. Was looking forward to returning to a favorite recent of ours in the past and ended up very disappointed.
Everything was very hurried. We were in no hurry and were rushed in and out in approximately 35- minutes. Even our waiter was surprised how fast entrees came out.
It was my fiancé birthday and she enjoyed every minute of it !
Great food and service as always.
This restaurant is fabulous we love it there and have not been disappointed ever 😊
Always a great experience and the food is amazing.
Both service and food were outstanding. A little expensive at $20 for a hamburger, but it was an excellent hamburger. No complaints!
Paul Martin's has a great ambience and it's easy to talk there. The food is okay, not a 5 star yet but could be with the best chef!
Our server Courtney made us want to come back every week. He deserves a raise and a promotion. We were kind of in bad moods and he lifted our spirits made our dining experience wonderful and I wish every server in the world was like him.
We have driven by many times and I’ve always said let’s try that someday so we gave it a try last night and really were pleased. The ambience is very nice and quiet. The wait staff was very good. Our waiter was Steven and he was very good and knowledgeable about the food items on the menu. My husband had the fried chicken and had a delicious honey sauce to go with it. We really enjoyed our evening and I would highly recommend it
Loved the food and the staff, they were very helpful with any questions we had. I had made a reservation for a party of 12 and had 2 extra people and they were very helpful when it came to squeezing them in.
Great date night! Food was pretty good. Service was excellent!
Varied menurepeat patron
Fantastic early birthday dinner with my husband. Analise was phenomenal and the food was delicious!! I would highly recommend this restaurant
