On a first date. My date and I equally decided to eat here. The ambiance made us feel comfortable. The food was great and we had a great selection of drinks to choose from. The manager stopped by to make sure we were doing good she told us about your wine dinner. Great date night spot!
Been going to this restaurant for YEARS..
Last evening was not good
Food 50% of what it has ( well last 3+ years ) been..
Did run out of a favorite we go for - at 6:30pm !
Food was luck warm , (COLD plate did not help!)
Hope this gets up to the Paul Martin Standard of food and service.
The service young lady was trying hard but they were MAJORLY understaffed .
Anyway - disappointing and SAD..
Overall great experience the 2 girls loved it. Thanks
Wonderful service. I was able to make reservations quite easily which was great. I wanted to go specifically for their st. Patrick's day special. The salad was yummy but I was disappointed with the corn beef and cabbage. The potatoes was barely cooked, and the corn beef wasn't cooked properly. Oh well, maybe next year...
The Shrimp and Calamari appetizers were brought out luke warm. It was quickly fixed by very apologetic management.
We have been to this restaurant before and always received good service and had quality food. But this time the service was bad and the burger was pretty tasteless. Mine came without any aioli on it, which is really the only non-standard burger topping besides the tomato, onion, lettuce, bun that it comes with. When we pointed it out to the waiter, he said he would bring a side of aioli and then forgot about us the rest of the night. We went on a Thursday, so not super busy weekday crowd. We also didn't get any water refills throughout the night. Not sure if the lack of attention was because we ordered cheaper entrees and no appetizers or drinks, but we definitely won't be back.
Menu feels small. What they do provide is pretty good though. I was a bit surprised they didn't have baked potato on the menu. As far as ambiance it appeared they were in the middle of some type of wall work.
We were visiting from out of town, and selected this restaurant despite its moderate reviews. The steakhouse cob salad was amazing, but our server was borderline rude and always in a big rush. He literally would be walking away from our table while he was still talking. We were also seated right next to the bar which was really loud. Next time we’re in the Bay Area, we will definitely try somewhere else!
Overpriced for mediocre food. The service was average. We did not get all of our food at the same time. Will not be going back.
Service was very slow. Redfish was very dry. Don’t recommend for business lunch. Acoustic is not good in dining room.
Made reservation but still made us to wait for 15 minuets
Family in town from Japan, we all loved the food and the service!
Food was excellent, cocktail was perfect, but it was REALLY COLD with the draft from outside.
The service was terrible. The food was over priced. They got our order wrong, we had to send food back. The place is mismanaged. I will never go there again.
Portions were small. Cost was outrageous. Service was average.
We’re not going back.
Horrible and will never go again! Overly priced for what you get! Used to go all the time and it was great!
What happened? Service ok but food has gone why down!! Salmon undercooked and burger served ona board with less fries. Very tacky. Dessert was also too expensive for a cake that was not fresh!
My friend and I had not seen each other for a while and wanted to chat. They didn't push or suggest we leave the table even though we were there for almost 3 hours.
The steak cobb salad was wonderful!
First time dining and I had moderate to low expectations for a restaurant connected to a mall and based on some recent reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Food was quite good and service was prompt. Decent wine list too. We will be back.
Not sure why they have to dim the lights (evening) to a point where it is really dark. I saw people using their flash lights from their phones to read the menu.
The chairs for tables sit a bit too low - not really comfortable for dining. Booths are ok.
Food was either too sweet or too salty! Bring all dishes out at one time even the server had specially asked us when he took the order that how do we want the food to be served.
We told the manager that coffee was too strong and she told us she thinks their coffee tastes good and she likes it !!!!! We won't go there any more !
We dined on a Monday nite, when there is a promotional $65 per couple wine & dinner pairing. We were treating another couple and the waitress kept reminding us that we would be charged an upgrade for items not included. After telling (Ashley)we did NOT care about these extra charges, she continually reminded us that we would be charged for these extra upgrades. So annoying! If PM is so concerned about the confusion, they should just clearly state on the menu what is on or off limits! It was so embarrassing 😔
The food wasn’t very good. We had tuna and halibut that were both over cooked. Halibut was fishy and dry at the same time and the tuna was over cooked even though we asked for rare. The ribs were flat out cold. I understand they cook them ahead of time but can’t serve it cold to customers. Ribeye steak was tasty but a bit tough (more than usual). Service was slow and not cohesive. Had to ask for the same thing multiple times.
I have been here many times and always had a good meal but this time was very disappointing. The service was very slow . The food was OK but not as good as usual. My friends entree was supposed to have chicken in it but did not. The manager did take the charge off the bill which was very nice but my friend was disappointed in her meal. The service was not up to par. i will go back because I have always like this restaurant and i understand everyone can have an off night.
Service was over the top. However, the food felt short of expectations.
Kale Caesar salad was drenched in overpowering dressing. The fish in the tacos was overcooked. The accompanying vegetable added not much flavor. Desserts were overly sweet.
Food wasn't what you'd expect for the price and the quality was poor. Service was good very friendly staff.
Not a bad spot. Wait staff seemed under staffed, so there was a little wait. Would go back.
My wife and I ordered steaks and both of our steaks were significantly under cooked, almost raw. Had to send it back and wait quite a while. My wife’s steak came back burnt. I ended up getting sick that night, likely from the food. Would not recommend!
Service was great although I was initially given someone else's meal. Bit it was quickly resolved.
We chose Paul Martin’s American Grille for our Valentine’s Day outing. The food was excellent as always. The ambience is Good though the staff could be a bit less formal. We eat here with friends when we want to show our guests a good time.
We took our granddaughters there for Valentines Day. They loved the french fries and hamburger. The fruit that comes with it was fresh. Apples outstanding.
Our meal was nice as well. Server seemed a little preoccupied or maybe had too many tables. But our food was warm when we got it.
Thank you for making our day special.
Service was great. Food was great. Victoria was our serveur one of our two faves! Fiance had HH burger and Hogue red. I had the Fried Chick Special, salad was huge and included avocados! yum, was able to eat two pcs of the delicious fried chick and a bit of the mashed potatoes (took the rest to go) had to save room for the campfire sundae. Have to say prefer the one scoop of pistachio ice cream and TWO shortbreads. The marshmallow TOO sweet for me. Ashley stopped by. We like the casual atmosphere of the bar booth. Too bad we'll have to get formal and go to the DR where Ashley is one of these days. NOTE to Hostess: Please remember to check off OT reservation. Just happened to look at my emails after dinner & noticed I was an OT NO show! Manager (older gentleman) was there but did not swing by. NBD
Burger was excellent but the salmon taco had the tortilla
Tearing apart Chicken with quinoa was delicious.
Quality of service and food seem to be on the decline. The grilled artichoke was served at room temperature with the exception of a few chilled sections. Overall it’s A decent experience. But not as good as it has been. Prices are too high for the quality of food a service. We will think twice before returning.
A little pricey, but good honest food in an attractive setting.
The steak and French onion soup were yummy. I asked for a simple side salad and the waiter said the menu changed and didn’t have a side salad option and pointed to a $13 salad. Was disappointed in the waiters service the whole time we were there, didn’t seem like he cared to take care of us.
It's the second time we've been here. We had a good time the first time, but my husband was disappointed with the service and thought the menu was quite "pricey." He probably won't want to return, but I liked it!
Went here for date with my husband. He received a gift card for his birthday. Had nice time, little noisy. Service was good, could have been better.
A first at PM...A less than stellar experience. On a Friday night, there was no Anchor Steam & the replacement was the worst I've ever had. Then there was a French dip sandwich that lacked any taste...how do you do this? As usual&luckily, the roasted chicken & potatoes were delicious.
Lunch date using our redeemed $20 from Open Table. Food and service were excellent, as expected. Will be back! :)
