Everything was bad , food / services / noise /
The fired New York steak is a joke !! Worst in my life
We went there for the steak, but the steak wasn’t really that great. The steak was ok, but not anything more than that
Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner
The service was just all right. Brought us too many salads and short on soups as well as side dishes. They didn’t know who order soup or salad. The food was only lukewarm. The highlight was the dessert, pumpkin cheesecake. It was delish. Overall, my first time eating out on Thanksgiving was just ok.
Will not be back unfortunately...service was HORRIBLE... food was just ok
we have been here many times...no more 😢
What a wonderful experience for Thanksgiving! Really great food, great service and overall lovely day! Thank You!
We went for happy hour. After we were seated by hostess it took 20 - 25 mins to be acknowledged by waitress. Their “system” didn’t make sense to me. Our waitress was very busy but one other from a different section (outside seating) only was tending to 1-2 tables so she must’ve walked by a dozen times. Seems to me if one section of restaurant is congested and other is not someone should step in, at least to help temporarily when there is people waiting to be helped.
Recently, friends and I had brunch at this location in Hillsdale and it was not very good. I had the crab cakes Benedict and was halfway through it before I remembered it was crab. The crab cakes had very little flavor. My friends had the omelette and it did not look good plus the avocado toast looked pathetic.
Service was super slow and it wasn’t a busy night, they told us it was because it was a large party in their patio area but inside wasn’t busy so it was probably a shortage of personal.
Wonderful Happy Hour. Drinks and food both great value. Service was very attentive.
The lunch menu shrimp, fries and salad was delicious. Perfect portions.
Everything was absolutely great except for one of our party’s chicken sandwich order that came out a long time after everyone else’s meal. They were also out of
Biscuits which was disappointing, we love those.
None of the food was properly salted except the kids burger. Unfortunately their card machine lost connection during the end of our visit and we had to wait to pay our bill for a long time.
Perfect experience all around. Great staff, ambience and food.
Great service. Perfect Martini. Delicious wedge salad. Only drawback is that they took my favorite Skirt Steak off the menu. I found a suitable replacement but miss my skirt steak. Topped off with terrific warm butter cake. Particularly appreciate the server being honest about what menu items are large enough to be shared so that we don't have too much food to enjoy every course. It might lower the final bill but it sure increases the tip.
WHERE'S MY SKIRT STEAK!
We had a special memorial luncheon and requested the patio area. We also wanted to have some drinks and appetizers prior to our lunch. Paul Martins set up high round tables and an appetizer table. Thanks to Chris Djunaidy and an excellent wait person, we had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and our group was so impressed. Thank you for making our event special.
Nice way to spend a birthday dinner with the kids. A little nicer than the usual casual outings.
Celebrating two birthdays. Never did the waitstaff acknowledge the birthdays. Took 20 minutes to clear the table of the dirty appetizer plates. Never asked if we wanted another cocktail.. took over a half hour to receive our lunch which was three salads.
My salad had been sitting awhile as it was dry and the grilled chicken was cold and taste in addition to missing some of the ingredients that were on the menu. Waitress was MIA. The general manger Chris was horrible and never checked back on us or asked why the salad was sent back. Very embarrassing as the host to have such horrible service while celebrating birthdays.
The shining light was the bus boy berto who was excellent.
We bused our own entree dishes.
Good food. Quick, fresh and diverse menu
A friend and I met for lunch in the outdoor seating area. It was cool so they turned on the heat lamp, and we were both very comfortable. They have an express lunch menu which is great—especially the flat bread and salad. Definitely a great place to meet some friends for a fun lunch.
Great happy hour prices, came for the delicious butter cake dessert, which did not disappoint. Took a while for our server to make rounds and to get bread and water out to our tables, but it was a busy Sunday and we were in the self seating section, so it wasn't too bad considering, and everyone working was more than polite and accommodating. Overall, great experience.
Food Quality was not up to what has been experienced in the past. The wait staff was HARD to understand and not trained in serving. I know we are supposed to be tolerant during this crisis, but when you are paying those types of prices, you expect a certain level of service and food quality. We had brought friends with us for an evening out who have never been to Paul Martin's and they were less than impressed.
We had to ask several times for coffee during our dessert. I never got a refill on my iced tea. My husband had dry, cracked mashed potatoes and asked three times for a side of gravy that never came. Just a bit disappointing. I doubt if we won our friends over as Paul Martin guests in the future.
Our waitress was a bit slow. There were only 3 tables at the time in her section, including ours, and all of us were waiting quite a bit.
We were outside on the patio and there was some type of dinner party on the other side of the partition, so it was pretty loud.
Over all the food and service were very good. It was for a special occasion so it was nice.
Great service & consistently on point from cocktails & apps, to entrees & dessert.
Reservations at 6:30pm. Got sat down and no service until 7pm, not even water. Had to flag down the lady who sat us down. Horrible service. Super crowded. Food was good.
My braised short rib was 1/3 fat. I was very disappointed. this is the first time i've had a bad meal at PM
It was our 21st anniversary - we wanted a nice meal out but close to home since it was a work night. We’ve had good experiences at Paul Martin but felt rushed by wait staff - even though the place was empty and the food was horrible. My husband got a martini with a bad olive which ruined the drink. I had fish tacos that were dry and the presentation was ridiculous - I’d expect more from a food truck! They basically took the salt and pepper shrimp we had as an app and threw it into some cold flour tortillas. My husband got the quinoa bowl with salmon which he has enjoyed before but this time it was like a bowl of mush. We ate what we could, left and got some burgers. Not ones to complain or send food back but we will not be going back again - sorry to say.
Great food, wonderful service. The only problem was the noise level. Next time we eat inside, not in the patio room.
Wonderful dining experience. Nice wine selection, consistently good selections.
I made a reservation only to be told the day of that they couldn’t seat us because they would be closing 15 minutes after my reservation time. Why allow customers to make reservations if they know they won’t be open, or can’t honor the time because it’s close to closing??? Disappointed, handled poorly, manager was unapologetic (blaming me) and the dinner was for a significant family event. Definitely think twice!
Waitress got a lot of our orders wrong
The salmon was not cooked thoroughly. Waiter was great!!
Loved the salmon on the lunch menu, nicely dressed salad and great cocktails! Nice sitting outside as well.
Loved the warm butter cake
We dined early on patio and had great service from Zabhullah. Another Pro was nice cocktails, special mushroom soup and the Salmon plank was tasty but for Cons the special halibut with about 6 small overcooked asparagus was a non-inspired entree and disappointing, we didn't hear cost of special so $40 was a shock and not a good value. We're not cheap and recently ordered delicious halibut at fine dining restaurant in Marin for less $$$. We asked to have nearby table distanced but within 2 minutes a party of 6 was offered same table less than 2 ft away and I gently reminded to distance, since many other tables were open. Suggest the table arrangements could be more conscientious for patrons during pandemic. We'd like to go back for the happy hour menu in the bar.
It was great
My 94 year old Mother was visiting from New Mexico. My nieces and sister and a friend all got to celebrate her at Paul Martins.
Food quality has gone downhill. Two separate vegetable orders were soggy, as if they were using frozen vegetables.
Service was pleasant.
Our waiter Jesus was excellent
