It’s unfortunate when a restaurant gets so busy that it forgets why it became busy. But PaulMartins in Roseville has become full of its self. From reservations that are rarely honored for the time made to average food and average service. Yet there is a line out the door. At some point it will catch up with its self and some other place will become the hotspot unless they get back to the quality and service that placed them in the success that they now drown in.

Food was great--crab cake Delicious--pure crab no filler. Salads are always great--very fresh produce. Our waiter Kevin was exceptional--very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

It wasn't that great because we had a problem with our waiter drinking with another table and taking forever to get back to us and my food wasn't all that great... I gave it 5stars because the manager was amazing and helped take care of us after what happened... I feel like it was just a bad night and will definitely be back!

One of our favorite spots. Food is always very good and they offer great Happy hour specials as well. This time was for Valentines Day and they offered a special menu. Our server Eric was excellent, professional yet friendly. We will be back!

The shirt steak was tough and a little on the fat side. The sweet potatoes were just OK. We expect a high end restaurant to have better quality food especially for the price. The rib-eye was good but not outstanding. Our previous experiences at Paul's were much better.

We showed up early for our reservation and were kindly seated. We had a fantastic dinner! Love the seafood plate appetizer and 2 choices of rose' by the glass, right on! Best skirt steak ever, Wagyu beef rocks. Thanks so much, we love to celebrate our special occasions with you. We will be back. Matt (slender, short blonde hair did a great job, just the right amount of his personality added to our experience).

my husband and I sat in the bar area to take advantage of the happy hour. My husband had to go to the bar to order our drinks, since it took the server 15 minutes to bring our menus and ask if we wanted drinks. Our server was polite and professional , but clearly overwhelmed by the crowd in the bar area. We wanted to order more drinks and additional appetizers, so we had to go over to the bar to seek our server out to order more food and drinks. This is not the service I am used to receiving from Paul Martin staff. Your servers are normally timely with greetings and menus. They check back to make sure we don't need anything else. I can only assume, you weren't prepared for the crowd this past Sunday night. Our server was very nice and comp'd our dessert for being patient.

Went with friends and sat in a booth against the back wall. Area was quiet so we could have a good conversation. Food was good, waiter attentive and selections varied.

A bit disappointed in not receiving a table until 8:30 with a 7:45 reservation. Checked in several times with the host who at one point told me I’d been seated already and had been called. I obviously hadn’t been seated and there were no missed calls or messages on my phone. However, our bar waitress and waiter once we were seated more than made up for the huge oversight of the host staff. Good food, great drinks.

The ambiance and short ribs are what keeps us coming back. It certainly isn’t the service. The grilled artichoke and short ribs are very good! I get them every time!! The skirt steak was very chewy. The ribeye was tough. The food is pricey to not be good. The service....terrible! Our server (Jesse - male) disappeared multiple times. We had to hunt him down even to pay the bill....which we ended up doing through another server because we couldn’t find him and wanted to leave.
