Birthday party dinner—food was excellent, service was great and everything delivered timely. Most importantly, it is open on a Sunday!!! Very hard to find in the Sacramento area.
Alexa A was fantastic. I thought our waiter from a previous visit couldn't be beat, but Alexa excelled. She was friendly, attentive, jovial and just seems to have that gift of wait service that is so rare. Congrats on the great staff hiring and retention program.
Dads 80th with family. Great family time
It took 25 min just to get a waiter and to order water.
Great experience. Our reservation was for 6 and the table was ready when we got there a little early. Very good food!
First time at this restaurant and it was great! Service, food and price was spot on!!! Thank you Open Table...was looking for places to eat close by and Paul Matins American Grill came up, booked my lunch time and glad I did. Love this place and definitely coming back...our server Selina was great! Explained the menu, price fix menu and made it easy for us! Thank you for a great experience and lunch.
We were there for the Sunday Brunch, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food and when it was brought to the table it was just warm. Our waitress was really nice
Would go again. Food took a long time to arrive but was a busy Saturday night.
Had a great lunch
Service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess was very accommodating. Our server Kimberly was fun and sweet, and easy on the eyes. The manager Jessica came around and talked with us, and I did see another male manager walking around and he seemed busy! The food was great as always, although we noticed a few changes. The Mac n cheese recipe is different, but still very good. However the cauliflower was changed and no longer had the chunks of garlic and the garlic oil, and it was blah. Just cauliflower now. As always, it was a lovely experience.
As always Paul Martain’s does t disappoint. My girlfriend and I both had the skirt steak and it was absolute perfection. Tender and juicy and packed with flavor. This is a great small restaurant that’s perfect for any occasion.
Awesome experience. Prime rib was phenomenal. Our server, Johnny, was a complete gem.
Going to Paul Martin's is a pleasure most always. On occasion the service is lacking but if one can be patient, the promise of a delicious meal can override any shortcomings in service. It is a place that we look forward to going to.
Celebrated Easter brunch with treasured family and friends. Food and service excellent.
So disappointed! Paul Martin is a restaurant I frequent for happy hour and business lunches. The food is always amazing and service I would consider very good. I talked my husband into going there for Easter Brunch (mind you we live in Sacramento, I work in Roseville so we made a special trip after church). The service was the worst I've experienced at any restaurant in a very long time. It took 10 minutes to even get water. The food was medium at best (eggs benedict, short rib taco's and a burger). After getting our water we ordered immediately and we only saw our waitress when she came to switch out for a break, then didn't see the new waitress again until we asked several different random staff if we could get out check. It took 15 minutes to get the check! The restaurant was half full at 2 when we were finished, so busy was not the issue. I really hope you get these service issue fixed, but I will be very hesitant to bring any business associates in the future.
Easter Sunday Brunch was excellent. They were quite packed but service didn't suffer at all. Our server was attentive and on top of all our requests. Very reasonably priced brunch and included coffee and an alcoholic beverage! Not a buffet but their Eggs Benedict were very good and eggs were cooked correctly - hard to get with poached eggs. Their "smashed" potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. Cheddar biscuits to start with whipped honey butter was included in the price. Light, fluffy and yummy. I highly recommend Paul Martin's American Grill for any occasion!
The Easter Brunch was good because more items have been added.
I would have loved to see a small bowl of fruit served with the biscuits
or at least orange slices on the main dish plate. Coffee should always be
included with the price.
The Easter Brunch was very good. Food was good, service was excellent and the pricing was good. Like this place
Alexa was an awesome waitress. We can for Easter Brunch. Food is always on point! This is one of my Favorite restaurants to come have Happy Hour.
The ambiance was wonderful, service was great and the food was amazing!
Nice table and food. Service was just right not too pushy or over bearing .
Excellent food and service. Very happy we discovered this gem in Roseville.
When we arrived it was not busy. We were ushered to a table without being asked if we made reservations. Upon seating, I told the host that I had reservations and under which name I had then. To my surprise, when I arrived home, I had received a "scolding" from you about me being. a "no show" and how important it was to either cancel or show. Needless to say, I did not appreciate that at all. I immediately called the restaurant to tell them that, in fact, I did show.
The food was okay, nothing special. The prices were a bit high. The wine list was decent.
We were two middle aged women who ended up getting seated next to a father and two young, rambunctious, loud children. That was not appreciated as the place wasn't very busy at all. They could have seated us in a quieter spot.
Our server was very attentive. No complaints there.
The restaurant was very loud, even before 5pm on a Saturday. The bar is on the side of the dining room with no partition or wall to filter the noise.
I ordered the cedar plank steelhead salmon. My wife ordered steak and my mother ordered shrimp linguini. We all had the mushroom soup and we started with a butchers board appetizer.
The butchers board is a cheese/meat tray with crostini, almonds and olives. It is supposed to come with salami and prosciutto. The cheeses were very good. They were apparently out of salami however. There was no warning from the wait staff and we were not given a chance to select something else. The tray was delivered sans the salami with an explanation only after it was put on the table.
The mushroom soup was to die for.
The cedar plank salmon not so much. The dish was served with bacon and spinach. I was not expecting the salmon to be covered with a large pile of bacon pieces however. The flavor of the bacon completely overwhelmed the taste of both the salmon and the spinach. Bacon flavored salmon is a bit of a letdown for the price.
The steak was very nice and cooked exactly to order. The flavor was well done and the sides of sweet potato with arugula were a nice compliment.
We drove up from Sacramento to meet a friend based on his location. We made reservations and we're given a table in the back corner of the restaurant. We asked for another table and that took a good 40 minutes, and were then given a table almost-to-the-back corner of the restaurant.
I've been to PM's many times for lunch. It was a good meal, and a good meeting spot for friends, but we did not love being seated in the corner.
Had the redfish dish, (replaced spinach for brussels) - for the $30 price tag I expected it to be warm at least and it was not, pretty cold in fact and the side of brussels was pretty miserable (whilst tasty) just more oily leaves than anything else. Not a meal I would recommend or be repeating as for that price I should have been delighted with a decent portion and a warm plate of food.
The service at Paul Martin’s was very good. The waitstaff was excellent. The main courses were lacking in the flavor department. However, the salad was fresh and tasted awesome. Based on the price and lack of flavors “that stand out” I’m going to Ruth Chris or Land Ocean from now on. Prices are very similar and the taste is so much better at either place. Don’t get me wrong, the food at Paul Martin’s was good...it just wasn’t “to die for” good.
The food, drinks and service have been excellent every time I have visited.
Everything from ambiance, server and food was excellent!
Great evening celebrating girlfriends birthday! Paul Martin’s is her favorite place in town. Never disappoints!
service was amazing! Food was delicious and atmosphere was really great!
Normally fantastic but service was off this time. Will go back as I hope this was an anomaly.
Still one of our favorite places to eat in Roseville. Never disappoints.
We enjoyed our fish tacos, but without or $20. Open Table certificates, it would have been a very expensive lunch for what we got.
I had been to the restaurant several times. I took my spouse & he enjoyed it. The food & service was super! The waiter is an important person who sets the stage of a great experience!
Everything was fresh, tasty & sufficient portions.
We had a fantastic time. Perfect table, delicious food and our waitress was amazing. We truly felt special and had a perfect birthday celebration
Big disappointment with noisy environment even I asked for quiet area. Service was extremely slow. Waiter was prejudice and didn’t even considered giving me menu knowing I came together with my husband celebrating his birthday. He gave us a poor printing receipt until I asked my daughter-in-law to read for me. He saw it and then took it back from her thinking she was paying and then gave her a good print with discount. I knew I was treated differently as I was the only minority at the table. They didn’t comply to my request for a quiet area but didn’t bother to apologize. With the slow service and waiter attitude, I doubted that I would go back there again. Dinner took almost 2 hours to finish; totally not acceptable.
Our waiter Peter was excellent! Attentive and had a great upbeat personality!
The service was poor. I don’t mean slow but poor as our drinks were generally empty. The waiter didn’t have any recommendations and generally paid us little attention. My wife’s steak was undercooked after specifically asking for it to be cooked well done with no pink. Overall not worth the money. There are several restaurants in that price range that have better food and service.
Dinner was great. Celebrated our Sons Birthday . Plenty of variation in meals to satisfy everyone !
