   The Fried Chicken summer special is fantastic - hot out of the fryer and cooked perfectly, moist yet crispy. Be aware, the cobbler comes at an extra charge but it's great.

   Kind of a happening area, multiple restaurants, so expect a few crowds. Restaurant is a little noisy, but service and food are very good. Decent wine selection.

    Delicious food, lovely ambience, fantastic wine list, and excellent service, as always. This is one of my very favorite restaurants in Roseville, and it never disappoints. I had the halibut and my husband had the Cajun shrimp, both were delicious. We also had the chocolate cake for dessert, which perfectly complemented the bottle of 2021 Caymus Reserve cab we brought with us. I highly recommend dining on their patio, it is shady and comfortable even on a fairly warm day. Cheers!

    Tried going here before but it has always been very busy. Made reservations and was looking forward to it. Very disappointed. Spinach-Artichoke dip was not good. Brick chicken was good but just ok. Not as tender as I would have expected. Service was poor and it wasn’t even busy when we arrived. It took and hour. Bathrooms not only we’re not clean but need repaired.

    Booked birthday dinner for hubby. Poor service, slow to acknowledge us and get drink orders. After ordering noting no bun for burger due to gluten intolerance, burger arrived with bun rather than lettuce wrap. No water refills during meal or asking if we wanted another cocktail. No birthday acknowledgment…here’s your check , please pay and good bye. Very disappointed as I have dined at this restaurant every time I come to town for the last 7 years.     If I could rate this a zero star review I would and I'll explain exactly why. Let me start off by saying the ambience of the restaurant is nice. That's the only positive about it. I brought my family here on Mother's Day. I wanted to treat my wife to someplace nice that wasn't just a local brewery or casual restaurant. I made reservations based on viewing the menu here on yelp and their website. Upon arrival, I was shocked that the menu offered was completely different than what I saw. I looked under the menu provided to find the offerings I did see only to be greeted by our server with, "What are you doing to my menu?" Then was told that we couldn't order off of that menu because they didn't prepare for the food on that menu. The server was pretty rude about it, maybe he was having a bad day? Maybe no one loves him? Who knows? Ok, that's fine. We'll settle for what was offered. Each dish was over $30, so you can imagine that our expectations were high. We were expecting dishes that tantalized our taste buds. The kind of food that you savor every single bite because of the symphony of flavors in your mouth. Then the food came. I want you to envision the most bland thing you ever ate, then add shavings of cardboard on top of that. These dishes had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. None. And this was around the entire table. I ordered the short rib. No flavor. My wife had the brick chicken. Even less flavor. On top of this, the mashed potatoes that were served with the dishes were lumpy. They weren't even fancy like garlic mashed potatoes. I've made better from a box. You can't throw some rosemary as a garnish and call it fine dining. Does the chef ever taste his/her own food? Do the owners? Speaking of the chef, advice to the owners: fire them. Find a new executive chef that actually loves food, flavors and the experience of eating at a nice restaurant. It wasn't about the price. Not one bit. Had the food blown my mind, this review would be completely different

    Made our annual reservation for Mother’s Day. 2 out of 3 moms in our group are vegetarian. They had NO vegetarian option on the menu. They got stuck with a salad. Further, the menu for this particular holiday, especially after 2pm, was extremely limited. There was more appetizer choices than entrees. There was no indication things would be scaled back so much. This was extremely disappointing, especially when the server said there is normally a vegetarian option but when she returned from asking the manager, she simply said no, not this year. Further, grandpa couldn’t even order a burger!!! Despite numerous tables around us with burgers being served well after our 2pm seating, we were told that was for the morning seating. Again, it seemed like all we heard was NO. At the price point for this restaurant, it’s just not worth it with the amount of competition in Roseville. We will definitely be moving our family to a different venue for future gatherings. Sadly, this was not the experience our group wanted for the moms today.

    The menu was inviting; we were seated promptly at our request outside as inside was very busy and very noisy. Server very nice but she was very busy (understaffed perhaps). Drinks came a bit late and it was warm out; food came timely. On the omelet the bacon was a tad undercooked; on the eggs Benedict the muffins so hard could not cut with a knife. That being said every tasted good and the portions plentiful. A tad disappointing with the service she was so nice but she was tooo busy took awhile to get condiments (food was almost done- then after ketchup and hot sauce had to ask for Salt and Pepper, and napkins again) Lo and behold never got a water refill was afraid to try and ask .........as it would prolong checking out. Then unfortuantely I had to go in to get our ticket (server had a mishap just an accident which kept her away...would have thought the manager would have come to check on us or have one of the three folks standing at the entrance do so because she needed to step away for a bit. I like Paul Martins but this is the second event (last year it was easter) where everything just seems not as good as usual. would recommend going regular service

    Food was great table service was good, but the host who met us at the door and seated us didn’t seem like he really wanted to be there that day. We chose to eat outside, and they sat us in a sunny area instead of the shaded side of the building, where the trees were when I asked if we could tilt the umbrella we were told it was not a tilting umbrella, but yet I was able to tilt it myself with the push of the button. I have eaten here several times before and always had a great experience. Unfortunately, this was not the top of those experiences.

    This was my first time at Paul Martin’s. We decided to have an early Mother’s Day dinner with my mom to take her out to treat her. The waitress was very snappy and seem to have a attitude. Talked to me like a child. Over all terrible service. When the food was brought up they kept handing me plates as if I was working at the restaurant instead of trying to find space on the table to set them down. Just had the worst experience and the food was honestly not worth the price.

    A couple food items were sad. Way overdressed Asian chicken salad. Weak limp roll for French dip. Needed actual grilling. Table maintenance was abysmal. Appetizer plates still on table when entrees arrived. Sat there through lunch. Occasionally someone would grab a couple but never all. Two share plates left through dessert. Waitress was pleasant but likely slammed.

    Overall, it was a good meal for 4 people. the brussels sprouts came out when we were almost finished with our entries and we had to ask about them. one salad had a long hair in it. I like the special dessert-almond cake. Other than that the food was good and we had a good time

    Let me start with, our server was great! We sat outside on a beautiful evening. 2 employees on their break sat at the next table watching loud videos on their phones…super annoying. All 3 of our steaks were overcooked. We asked for med. rare and received med. well. Honestly, it was our first bad experience here. We usually sit inside and our food is usually cooked to perfection. I will definitely return. I’m hoping this was just a fluke.
