Father’s Day Dinner. It was the best!
Conrad the manager and staff are great!
We went for father’s day. We had a great meal and the service was fantastic.
A pretty consistent good meal and service. Was a little loud and boisterous tonight (game on TV at the bar) but otherwise good.
This is a fantastic restaurant, with delicious food, great service, ambiance, & management. It was immaculately clean & the food was tasty & prepared perfectly as ordered. The servers & particularly the manager who helped us were impeccable in every way & made our experience very enjoyable. Because of this experience, this establishment has definitely become one of our favorite restaurants in Pasadena.
We were very disappointed in the food. It did not have any flavor. My husband ordered a margarita and it came in the smallest glass for the price that was charged!
We had a wonderful experience visiting Paul Martin's for the first time. We will certainly be back.
Comparable to previous visit. Service was remarkable. Staff was attentive and polite. We had another good experience. Food this time was a little over-cooked.
Must get their Hoisin Rib and Campfire Sundae. Try not to get Short rib Street Tacos (taste bland and its ok) and Smoked Chicken and Wings (it has the smoky flavor but its not that great)
Great restaurant in the middle of Lake Avenue in Pasadena, right next to Macy's and Trader Joe's. We had the fried chicken, slow-roasted ribs, skewered shrimp combo, which comes with a peach cobbler and ice cream desert for a reasonable price. The huge bar is always vibrant with lots of people, although a mostly mature crowd--this is not a place for millennials to hook-up. As we are both above 65, this was not a problem for us. Not very romantic, but great food and good service at a reasonable price.
good hamburger in a nice restaurant with good service,Ok
Ever was great service i
Shrimp tasted very soggy and pastey, biscuit was almost burnt and dry, peach cobbler was super soggy had way too much sugar, and hardly any peaches. We have been coming to Paul Martin's for many years and had never had such a horrible meal like this promo meal! Will never order a promo meal again!
Great as ever. French Onion soup to die for.
Great food. Great service. Love the ambiance
We had a nice experience. Food was delicious. We sat outside and there was a louder larger group enjoying their time as well so sitting outside trying to have conversations within our party was a bit difficult. Overall good experience
Food was good, service was good. However it took 20 mins to get 3 kids entrees. We got our apps before we got kid food. I appreciate the manager coming by and taking care of the app for us. But we didn't go to the restaurant to get a free app. The restaurant wasn't very busy but service was slow
Four of us dined at Paul Martin's. Three out of the four dishes we ordered were good. Two of us had the eggs benedict with crab meat. One had the Summer Trio special. Another one had a chicken sandwich. The eggs benedicts were good. The ribs on the Summer Trio special plate was delicious. The ribs were flavorful and falling off the bone tender. The chicken sandwich was not good. It was too dry. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. Service was good.
Def will be coming back! From the very beginning, service was very attentive & kind. Hostess greeted my party & made us feel very welcomed on the way to our table. Lisa our waitress was also very quick & attentive, loved that about her. Atmosphere was calm & soothing. I ordered the ribeye, great taste, very easy to cut through, will order it again!
Food was not enjoyable. The chicken was overcooked, dry and flavorless. Mac and cheese was watery and bland as were the brussel sprouts. I will not return to this restaurant.
Everything was very satisfactory, no complain
Love their salmon tacos. Started with the grilled artichoke. Delicious. Josh was a great waiter.
Food was ok, service was great.
Went there on 5/19 for brunch. The hostess was terrible. They were not busy yet it took her forever to seat us even though we had reservations. She finally sat us at a table that was clearly available but originally told us our table was not ready. She then forgot to bring us brunch menus; totally not into her job at all. Food service was better and the food was good. However, our initial impression was so bad that it was not a very good experience. Lots of better places to go in Pasadena.
I enjoy the times I have gone to Paul Martin's. I recommend their happy hour. Their food has never disappointed me. The servers are hit and miss. Some are on point- the last server we had unfortunately was not. Overall i recommend this restaurant.
The wait time was fine. My reservation and request for a “round table” were met. So thanks. Our server Lisa was very good but the overall service is ALWAYS bad. Took forever to get drinks and water (as usual). The bread to the table literally came after our appetizers. The artichoke was tough. The NY steak was meh and the sweet potato slices w it...so UNamazing. My husband loves banana cream pie and this is why we came. He said it was pretty good so that was a plus. If I come again it will only be to sit AT the bar and have a cocktail which is likely why drinks take forever to get to the table. The bar is hopping.
Food was ok, nothing particularly special. My $22 ahi tuna salad was surprisingly small and fairly bland. Server disappeared for long periods of time after food was delivered and when it was time to pay. Would not bother returning.
An enjoyable meal. We had the crab cake, wedge salad and "brick" chicken. The chicken was very good with a great jus. The wedge was good. The crab cake had good flavor but was a bit soggy. They through in a wonderful banana cream pie piece to make up for the crab cake!
Waited forever for drinks and food. Made a reservation for a birthday and got seated at a high top table. Lousy atmosphere.
The food was good overall. The skirt steak was not as good as we expected. Service needs a little improvement. Staffs were slow to respond our requests.
Excellent service. Food was very good but it can be improved upon. A little pricey for some for what you get. We enjoyed it though and would return.
Great food, amazing service. The harvest salad was fantastic!
Our second visit. good service, good food - relaxing and fun atmosphere. Easy free parking in the back.
Nice anniversary dessert unexpected surprise. Thank you.
Have been to Paul Martin's for very good happy hour so decided that on Mother's Day my family would go. Sat outside with a pleasant waitress and ample room for a larger party. Service was fine and most of the meals were good but when it came to the price fix prime rib meal at $34 it was very mediocre. The salad was only ok, the dessert just a bowl of ice cream but the highlight should have been the entree which was a thin piece of prime rib that was tasteless with mash potatoes that were cold and not seasoned. Very disappointing since I went earlier in the week to a close by restaurant where the prime rib was thick and juicy. Not again. Stick to happy hour.
Paul Martin has a great "Happy Hour". The food is good with various options. I recommend their calamari and sweet potato fries. Come dressed or come casual.
Service was A++. Excellent short ribs.
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. The food was delicious and the service was great!
This was a Mother's Day Celebration for my wife and her adult children. The service was very good. The food was fair to very good. My only real complaint is the actual chairs at the table. It seems Paul Martin's has upgraded the "look" of the furniture but failed to get the "comfort" of the chairs right. Everyone at the table complained about the seats. Just a suggestion for management. Otherwise we recommend this restaurant.
The service and menu selection never disappoints. I always enjoy my experience.
