Food was very good
Great dinner last night. Started with their always reliable French onion soup. Enjoyed the 2 course seasonal prix fix menu, a wedge salad and filet Mignon with bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp. Filet was perfectly cooked. Dessert, a chocolate mousse cake, was a disappointment. Turned out to be something a child may have made. Completely unremarkable. Excellent selection of wines by the glass. Service was attentive and friendly.
Great food, great service, and good for group gathering.
Food was very good but not great. Pork chop slightly pinker than ideal for “medium”, brussel sprouts a bit more charred than I like them. Potatoes and bread were great. Service was efficient and friendly. Menu was good. Outdoor seating was lovely. Very nice overall, just a little short of perfect.
Sorry. Food is not great.
Crab cake salty
Shrimp pasta salty
Fish tacos no taste
Spinach dip not good
Had salmon tacos with slaw and black beans which was just outstanding! Wife had vegan burger with salad which she said was very good. Server was Tiffany who was excellent-attentive without being obtrusive, All in all, an excellent dining experience!
Good food on a great special with outstanding service. We split the 2 for $75 prix fixe and the value was tremendous. We both got the wedge salads and skirt streak and shared a bottle of Riesling. The wedge salad was extra yummy due to candied bacon. Steak was done perfectly, nicely red, very tender and full of flavor. And perhaps best of all, it was like getting wine free. Candied bacon AND free booze? Yep. Decent selection of standard whites and reds with a few other choices like bubbly and rose. All this was served by an energetic, enthusiastic young man who was sweet enough to comp us dessert! We’re already planning our next Sunday outing with the same happy Paul Martin’s ending.
great service -horrible food. asked for the french dip well. didn't happe, returned, came back less than a minute later the same. we gave up and vowed never to return. also sat right by kitchen(restaurant basically empty) and their conversations were so so loud
This was easily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. The manager couldn’t have cared less. It took forever to get our food. I had a ribeye that was flavorless and more fat than edible meat. I would have put some salt on the steak but the salt shaker was filthy. We also ordered a side of sautéed spinach which was so undercooked it could have been used in a salad. Like the rest of our food it did not have any seasoning. We couldn’t even get a soda refill until we were finished and waiting for our check. I’m sure there are better restaurants in Mountain View. I would not recommend wasting time or money at this place.
Great place for a casual dinner, very good food. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.
Mid-level quality and atmosphere. More like a very nice sports bar. Veggie sides and appetizers are not very good.
Two friends and I meet there very often on a Sunday for lunch. It is always very quiet and relaxing. They serve a complimentary biscuit, which is very good. We have always liked the food there. They have a very nice menu. Their vegiburger is always very tasty if you are there for lunch rather than brunch. We have experienced waiters that invariably get our orders wrong because something is always missing or changed. Perhaps it's the kitchen and not the waiter's fault. However, this does not affect the food, which is always
Fabulous lunch today! Had the autumn two course special, good value. Started with the wedge salad and then filet Mignon with bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp (3). Very good size portion. Added a side of their most delicious mashed potatoes. Just to die for! As always, they have an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Service and food were superior today.
Excellent food and vibe. Great cocktails with good service.
Food and cocktails were delicious! Will definitely go back when I’m back in Mountain View!!
Food is very good, service is great. Bit pricey, but it is Silicon Valley...
We came for a business dinner and the restaurant was great for a group of 11. We enjoyed the appetizers, and everyone easily found an entree they liked. Definitely save room for dessert! The butter cake was delicious!
I would recommend Paul Martin's to a friend because the food is excellent and the service is great. My rating is less than excellent here is probably due to an isolated incident.
My glass was dirty with lip print on it. That turned me off a little.
My friend's salad had a live worm. She wasn't too disturbed by it and neither was anyone at the table but it could still be a turn off.
Other than that, this doesn't deter me from going back. The food is delicious! Thank you!
Always enjoy my meal at Paul Martin's Mountain View. Very happy the Wine and Dine is back on their menu, even with the increase from last year, it is a bargain. My only complaint was my wedge salad. Looked like a head of lettuce was cut in half leaving the core on the bottom. Also, I don't believe the waitstaff read comments on Open Table for allergies. I cannot eat onions and I always need to remind them.
I'm a repeat customer. Always enjoy dining at Paul Martin's. I'll return.
We had a great meal, but our server left much to be desired. I don’t know if he was new or what, however, but he could not make many recommendations, nor could he describe the desserts to entice anyone to try them. We had to beg for drinks and refills. Not the best experience.
We went there for a birthday and everything went perfectly. Our waiter was top notch. Always seemed to be there at just the right time. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and the appetizer’s were spot on.
Our desserts were delicious.
The service was friendly and efficient. The food was incredible.
We were celebrating a friend's birthday and our server made it special. She was very nice and took care of orders. I had the skirt steak and it was perfect just how I wanted it.
This place is super expensive for not that great of quality. Our steaks weren’t cooked well. Medium steak was still bleeding. Medium rare was rare. $275 for nothing extraordinary.
I liked the happy hour menu; it saved money
The wait staff was great, but there were obvious issues in the kitchen.
For 42 bucks the ribeye was tasteless and the mash potatoes were cold. Server was polite when he appeared but his timing on everything was slow and it was not busy.
Came here with my husband for a dinner date. For the second time I was impressed by the service and attention to their customers. Food was delicious and cocktails really good. Definitely coming back again.
Awesome hamburgers and sweet potato fries!
We did the Sunday/Monday special for two people, a salad and entree each plus a bottle of wine for $75.
The selections were all from their regular menu and the combo dinner was a substantial savings. The wedge salads were huge (give me a take home box) and the roasted salmon perfectly prepared.
The dining room is casual and a few tables had small children.
Food was amazing! Great service. Perfect for a lunch date.
Steak came out well done, took a very long time for the replacement but the manager comp the entree and gave us a free dessert. I will give them another shot!
Our server Diana was a gem. She really helped make for a great experience despite being understaffed during the dinner rush hour. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our meals, and the brussels were delightful.
It was my sisters 36th birthday, as well as her pregnancy announcement to the family. It was so nice to have had a small more intimate area for our small party and the curtains created a cute vibe. Everything from the food to the service was wonderful. The street tacos and artichoke dip were my faves.
Food is always good here and menu changes seasonally. Our favorite is the grilled artichoke! Waitstaff is helpful. Ambient music can be loud and sound travels but also makes the place energetic and fun to meet for drinks. Our local place to go!
It was perfect that they had placed us in a separate area especially since our group was larger than expected. What wasn’t amazing was the service
Waiting 30 minutes for drinks
Waiting almost an hour for food
Having to beg for bread
Forgetting food and drink orders
This wasn’t the first time I’ve dined there. But it may be the last at this location
I took my work crew there for a late going away lunch. It was a perfect place. Plenty of seating, the food was excellent and the drinks were so good. Service was GREAT! I will be back there soon.
Anniversary! Enjoyed the dinner and the gift of a dessert (yummy peach cobbler)!
Very slow service. Took over 15 min to get a glass of water and over 1 hour to get the main course. Food was not well prepared and not very good. We’re never going back!
