Good food good service good price
The waiter was very attentive. The food was good. Place is nice.
The overall experience was so-so. We hadn't been to PM's because we were not really satisfied the last time, but tried it again. We arrived for a 6:30 reservation on a Sat night. The valet parking attendant could not be found so we self parked. No big deal. The front desk staff seemed a little disorganized. Again, no big deal. The restaurant was about 40% full. After a 10 minute wait, we were ushered to a table on the patio. The patio has half-glass windows and allows for a lot of street noise. The waiter's service was excellent. The food presentation was good and the taste was very good. I do think the prices are too high for the serving sizes and ambiance. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area. I don't think I'll be back soon.
Terrible service. Wouldn’t go back to this location.
Went here after an AFV taping all dressed up and felt comfortable, although it was surprisingly casual in our opinion. The food was all fantastic, especially loved the short rib, Mac and cheese and roasted chicken. Service was a little slow on a moderately busy Friday night, but overall was a nice experience and we would go back!
This was our second visit to PM in a month. Our first visit was wonderful, on this second visit the place was not as crowded but the service was not as good. We had a couple of different friendly waiters and waitresses but they did not check in on us as often as we would have liked. I had to get up and ask for our water glasses to be refilled. We were not charged for dessert so that was nice. Food is delicious.
Paul Martin does not disappoint. They offer a great deal for dinner for two and have a wide selection to choose from in their selection menu. Plus a bottle of wine. What more could you want. Highly recommend. Service was excellent and enjoyed my girls night out dinner.
Absolutely wonderful place!! Staff and service were fantastic!! A must place to dine and drink!!
Excellent! Nuff said!
Went early. Everything was fine.
My wife and I ordered appetizers and 2 glasses of Prosecco. For dinner we ordered a bottle of wine with our main course. However, it took awhile, half way through our dinner before we get our bottle of wine. Even after reminding our waiter and the server that brought us our dinner. Also, when we received our coffee it was less then lukewarm ... not good.
Fantastic food and venue. Great ambiance, location, happy hour & brunch. My new favorite spot.
The server was not very attentive and it made our experience underwhelming. She was more concerned with her bigger table and making sure they had their drinks and alcohol, rather than checking on us who were literally 4 feet away.
D and his staff did a great job, start to finish. Loved the drinks and our food was perfect. We had deviled eggs and spareribs for happy hour at the bar. Then, moved to our table and had a filet mignon with a bacon wrapped, crab stuffed shrimp. It was amazing.
We received an email about the two dinner deal and thought, why not? We went down to Paul Martin’s and had a wonderful dinner. Full portions and big selection- not the usual fare for a special. The service was fantastic. We will be back.
We always enjoy the food and wine at Paul Martin's, but the petite fillet mignon and stuffed shrimp were above and beyond fantastic! We also very much enjoyed The Big Pour - always a favorite.
We been here many times before, but tonight was disappointing not because of the food but because of the total lack of discipline of the staff. The food was as good as ever. The prime rib special was great as well as the harvest salad with salmon.
The staff however need discipline and I mean much more discipline. First of all, our waiter kept reaching over the table where his sleeves kept brushing the drinking straws and almost tipped over the drinks more than once. All he had to do was to go to the other side of the side where he could reach easily without being instrusive, but he never got the clue. Obviously this guy was never taught that it's rude to reach across the table.
Second, another waiter closes the dish storage shelves with his feet right on the handle where others are putting clean dishes and napkins! He thought this was funny. Anyone watching would find it disgusting. And of course the next waitress comes along unaware and uses a clean nakpin to open the drawer where this guy had just put the bottom of his shoe on it. I can't imagine the dirt and germs on that nakpin that is going to some unspecting patron.
Third, our dessert is served with parchment paper left on it - like someone had chewed it a spit on it like gum. Obviously the waiters are so cluessless that they don't even look at what they are serving until it's brought to their attention and they have the gull to ask, "Would you like a new one?" Do you really have to ask? Like that was our fault? And you still charged me for it? Really?
Needless to say, we'll be taking a break from this Paul Martin's for a while.
We were completely disappointed with our experience. We’ve been here several times before and today was not a good day. Everything from extra slow service, food was mediocre, and we were given the wrong bill 3 times. We asked for the prime rib special, medium well, the meat was still bleeding. The short rib had more fat on it then actual meat and when asked if they could prepare the salmon like they do for lunch, we were told, no because they put all the ingredients for lunch away. Our waitress was very sweet and apologetic for her mistake; her sweetness was the only thing that made the night semi pleasing.
Will definitely think twice before coming back.
Food was ok our server was so slow that by the he brought our food it was cold. That was on a Sunday and they weren’t even super busy
So awesome! The waiter was great. He said he was training under someone but he took over... he was the best. We will go back many times again. The only reason the lower rating in ambiance and noise level was because there was a very loud group next to us yelling and screaming. Everyone in the outdoor dining area was sick of them... I think even the waiters were but it wasn’t their fault. This group was just obnoxious. Otherwise... high fives all around. We loved it!!! Thanks guys!!
Went for a business lunch for 5. Service was top-notch. Salt-n-Pepper appetizer shrimp is just OK, enjoyed halibut fish tacos, bread service. Others had tuna salad and Asian Chicken Salad and were pleased. This is a good spot for a business lunch due to round tables and easily being able to talk.
Favorite place for business meetings, lunch and dinner! Fabulous wait staff and food!
A good place for a quick business lunch or just to catch up with an old friend.
Really good food and great service. Not an extensive menu but everything offered is great.
My parents birthdays and their 45th wedding Anniversary
Great food and drinks! Excellent service! Interior decor is beautiful!
Our server was over attentive. We came for a business meeting and had trouble getting through our conversation because he kept interrupting about every 5 minutes. We know, because we started to time the intervals... very nice guy, but it was not a good service experience.
The halibut I ordered was over cooked, and I didn’t really eat it.
Overall good experience. Food was flavorful. Server was pleasant but not as attentive.
While in Los Angeles for my birthday, I picked this place to celebrate and I must say that it was the worst decision ever! For starters, we made reservations and when we arrived, our table wasn’t ready and we were seated right next to the kitchen. Then our waiter was very slow and confused (as I would describe him). He took our drink orders (but we didn’t get them until 15 mins later- and not over exaggerating either) then we had to ask for water and bread (when obviously he should’ve just brought it out) and when we got our drinks, he then took our food order (and that took a while to come out, which was expected since it was quite busy) but when he brought our food out, they messed up my husbands order and the waiter didn’t apologize, he just made some excuse about how he couldn’t hear us but he bent down to take our order. Then when we asked for the check, they over charged us! So that night was the worst but I didn’t let it get to me. I just laughed at every situation!!! But I won’t be going back there again when I’m in LA!
This place used to be so good. Now it is just overpriced mediocre food. They are so many better options in the South Bay for less money.
Overall, disappointing. Food was good. Waitress was friendly and may have been new. Understaffed.
Had to repeatedly ask for drink refills. Waited at least 15 minutes to take order. 45 minutes to be served. When we were served it was not timely for all parties at the table.
I normally get the Brick chicken, which is always cook right but this visit, have the skin was missing from the chicken breat. Without the skin, the seered Brick effect doesn't happen. The chicken was very dry! Everything else was great... taking a break from the Brick chicken.
Another Awesome Early Dinner! Love the menu, the staff and the experience
This restaurant always delivers quality food and great service.
Poor service, mashed potatoes cold and hard. Appetizer plates sat on table entire dinner. Waitress hard to find. Poor value.
The service was a bit slow initially (we decided we weren’t going to make the movie time) and there was plastic in the desert. So definitely something going on with the kitchen that night.
The table service was great as was the food. We met a friend for dinner. His burger looked great and he confirmed. I had fish tacos, my wife had the brick chicken and both were great. She had enough for left overs. The hostess service was a bit confusing with 3 people not seeming to know what they were doing, but all worked out fine.
Good early (5-ish) dinner. Both husband and I had the summer trio special which was a terrific deal - ribs, chicken and shrimp, a side and peach cobbler dessert. All for less than many of the single entrees. The food was very tasty but way more than we could finish (had leftovers, so that’s good). Service was very nice. They were good to let me switch out the shrimp skewer for an extra rib as I have a shellfish allergy. The restaurant is very comfortable, not too noisy.
A little pricey but great food
