Went here at the last minute and was not disappointed. Great food and service.
Really great food and stellar service. Great location and really great ambiance. I love this place! Halibut so good! Unbelievable marinara sauce!
Wonderful neighborhood gem! The food was very flavorful for a good price. As for the restaurant itself, there is a charm to it with its family styled vibe. Lovely spot!
Went there aftet 20 years. Was as good as remembered. Highly trcommend.
Very positive experience - will definitely return. We had a party of 12, and our table was ready when we arrived. We were graciously welcomed. The service was excellent. The meal was great, and equally important for this particular group - a real value. The dinner prixe-fix menu offered an ample range of options, satisfying portions, and well-prepared Italian-style dishes. The ambiance is well-suited for a range of dining occasions. Definitely recommend!
Paul and Jimmy's has been a staple in this neighborhood for years and it is such a wonderful place to go for lunch/brunch/dinner. The atmosphere is so cozy and quaint. You truly feel like you are in a little Italian Restaurant somewhere in Italy. The food is phenomenal and in terms of service, you are treated like royalty. I really love this restaurant and sometimes kick myself when I don't think of going here when dinner plans pop up. I could seriously eat here every night of the week!
my first visit and very pleased. Food very good service excellent and very close to THE VINEYARD
Cute restaurant with a great vibe but only average food. Burrata salad special was the best thing we ate; beet salad was way over dressed and the beets were tough. The pasta - purportedly homemade - tasted like something from a box and was overlooked and served with a very average sauce. Nothing was bad, just unremarkable and "average". Many better restaurants in this great neighborhood.
Cozy and charming. Good food, friendly staff, not noisy. A sweet find.
Delicious food! Friendly staff! A great neighborhood venue!
We’ve been to Paul & Jimmy’s before with friends. This time around we came for my birthday. It was great as always. We got a great recommendation for a bottle of red wine.
Service was great, didn’t feel rushed like most places make you feel.
The food came out nice and hot or warm for dessert.
Maybe add some background music - it was pretty quiet in there for a Saturday night.
Met with 8 of my classmates from our High School Class of 1969.
Great place to gather, gab and have a good meal.
Will keep Paul and Jimmy's in mind for another one of our gatherings.
I have been going to Paul and Jimmy’s restaurant for 60 years. It’s the same today as it was 60 years ago, fabulous. I would recommend it in the highest possible regard for anyone. The food is absolutely authentic southern Italian cuisine and is marvelous. Qq
Excellent food, great service! Host makes you feel like family.
good food, excellent service. would definitely return.
We came there, the four of us for my brother's birthday. It was new for us We had passed by , but never went in. This time we just tried it after looking at comparable restaurants in the area. It needed to be in the Gramercy area due to our logistics. Great food, well prepared. good lighting. I like to see my food. Not rushed. They had a prix fixe that helped us make a good selection. Would go here again.
Food was good, not huge portions. Excellent service. Nice ambiance. Wouldn't return, nothing special.
The food was very good. We ordered 6 different pasta dishes. All were good but I'd highly recommend the Spaghetti alla Carbonara & Linguine alle Vongole.
Great food Service was outstanding. Recommend you try.
Really nice authentic Southern Italian Restaurant. Classic Italian dishes (like I grew up eating), reasonably priced wine and a very nice prix Fixe option. Freshly made desserts topped off the meal. It's such a pleasure to be able to talk to your friends without shouting in a nice ambience. Nice meal overall.
Food was tasty. Service was friendly. Cozy atmosphere.
Food, service, ambiance all meet/exceed expectations. Paul & Jimmy's never fails to please!
I was looking for a good restaurant for a holiday get together with friends and I saw great reviews for this one. It was very nice and cozy. The staff was friendly and always there to fill a drink. We all wound up doing the Prixe Fix which was a good deal. I wish it had more pasta on the menu for that though. But it was a nice night and my friends really enjoyed it.
Was not too impressed with the quality. My Fiance's pesto pasta with shrimp had barely any shrimp and way too much pasta. My Ravioli was bland at best. They also totally dropped the ball with my request for a piece of cake for my Fiance's birthday. It was okay, but nothing more than that.
Found Paul & Jimmy's on Yelp and it was exactly what we needed. Was able to make reservation on Friday for Saturday for party of 5 at 6 PM. Owner greeted us at the door. Bar was filled. We found a nice Italian restaurant in Chelsea with white table cloths, attentive wait staff and good food. Everybody was able to talk and we were not rushed out even though restaurant was busy. I actually had something off the menu with no problem and it was excellent. Nice local place with good food.
We hadn't seen each other for a long time, and the restaurant wasn't at all busy, so they let us linger for over two hours without even presenting the check. We appreciate their attitude.
My martini was really good as were the fried calamari. However the sauce that came with it tasted like it came out of a jar. The chicken in my chicken cacatorie(sic) was over done and dry and the sauce tasted "old".
A family favorite for many years.
Calm, tasteful, wonderful service. You must ask for the burrattacand the bruscheta. Excelent, as the veal I had.
I am sure it's a neighborhood favorite. Not bad, but not particularly remarkable, just "eh" as they say in Brooklyn.
You could do worse.
We love this neighborhood gem - My wife and I had a dinner the night before Thanksgiving and it was perfect. The soups are homemade and the fish salad and pasta perfect. This is our 5th time here. The quality of the food is top shelf and it is not as expensive as many restaurants are in the Gramercy area.
My favorite neighborhood restaurant. Greg is the best chef, one can order anything, even if it’s not on the menu!
Paul & Jimmy's has been my "go to" restaurant for many years. The owners are accommodating and friendly, the wait-staff is efficient (also nice), and the food...the food is wonderful: tasty, well-prepared, well-seasoned, attractively served. Order anything, you'll enjoy it. Ask for modest changes from the menu; it can be done. Want more bread (warm), butter instead of oil--just ask. The room, as all NY restaurants, tends to get a bit noisy, but it's always possible to enjoy conversation with your companions while you enjoy your dinner. And you will enjoy your dinner. Oh, and definitely try the tiramisu for dessert. You'll be glad you did.
The food was amazing! The restaurant was super cozy and small. It was a great time.
What a wonderful fine in lower Midtown! Great ambience and hospitality!
Honestly.. my husband has had 2 great lunches here and wanted me to try.. we went for dinner on Sat night.. we shared a “burrata” and tomato appetizer.. it wasn’t burrata but mozzarella.. I ordered the pasta special.. oriechetta w/broccoli and cauliflower.. absolutely no taste and I even had to add olive oil.. just not good.. extremely bland..
Sadly.. I won’t be returning any time soon.. I’ll let my husband continue his lucky streak at lunchtime..
Really great dinner here. Fresh and delicious! Halibut special was fabulous. Pastas were so tasty!
This restaurant is true, old school Italian cuisine at the highest level. Anyone who knows Italian food will love Paul and Jimmy’s.
Great food and service in nice setting. One of the best in the Union Square area. Nice fixed price menu.
