Paul & Jimmy's Restaurant has been a landmark in the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood since 1950. The father and son tandem of Louis and Greg Azzollini continue to serve old-country-style Italian dishes, as well as, innovative specials prepared daily. Paul & Jimmy's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Honestly.. my husband has had 2 great lunches here and wanted me to try.. we went for dinner on Sat night.. we shared a “burrata” and tomato appetizer.. it wasn’t burrata but mozzarella.. I ordered the pasta special.. oriechetta w/broccoli and cauliflower.. absolutely no taste and I even had to add olive oil.. just not good.. extremely bland..
Sadly.. I won’t be returning any time soon.. I’ll let my husband continue his lucky streak at lunchtime..
Paul & Jimmy's never disappoints. Have been going there for over 20 years. It's a great place to meet friends for a nice long quiet lunch (or dinner). The food is consistently good & well-prepared, served up tastefully. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly, brought nice hot crusty Italian bread. The waiter was very attentive & offered refills on drinks. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert. Can't wait to go back.
This was our 4th time to Paul & Jimmy's, and came with friends on this visit. The food and service were spectacular. Our group enjoyed the Minestrone soup, salads, fish and veal. On each visit we have been extremely satisfied. If you are looking for a really good traditional Italian NYC restaurant - this is the place.
Very good old-school Italian restaurant. Not a place to go if you're looking for something inventive and bold, but great choice for Italian classics. Above average pasta. Good selection of appetizers including a number of specials. Attentive service, but a bit slow. Dimly lit, romantic vibe. Would return.
Paul & Jimmy's is an excellent old time NYC Italian restaurant. The food and service were top notch. They have wonderful soups and will be a great cooler weather destination. The veal chop, fish and pastas were perfect and supported by an attentive wait staff. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We went to Paul and Jimmy's because a friend recommended it. She used to live in New York and expressed it was their favorite. She was right in every sense! The atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant well appointed, atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was beyond excellent. Service was second to none. We went for our 40th anniversary and were treated extremely well. Would recommend to anyone!
We have been coming to Paul and Jimmy's for over 35 years. It never disappoints! Excellent Italian food at reasonable prices. Spiedini alla Romano is my favorite appetizer and I always go for the Chicken Francese. Very nice house wines. Definitely worth a visit!
Had a very fine dinner at Paul and Jummy's last Saturday night. Food was very good-- delicious fresh salad, perfectly prepared pasta and terrific fish and veal. Tiramisu for dessert was great. And the complimentary Sambuco at the meal's end topped off a very fine dining experience. Very authentic Italian food presented by attentive and very able wait staff. Go and enjoy!
A long time favorite for good food, good service, friendly atmosphere, and a noise-level that allows you to enjoy conversation at dinner. The menu is varied, and the kitchen tries to be accommodating about special dietary requirements. Waiters will advise on food choices if you ask and are attentive to your needs. The food is always good. Very good. Paul & Jimmy's has been around a long time, and I hope they stay.
