What an experience!!! We chose to have the “Chef’s Feed”, where you don’t know what you’re getting, until the plate shows up at your table. The evening was one we will never forget. Scallops, acorn squash soup, bison raviolo and braised lamb were all paired with the perfect wine. You don’t come here to eat, you come here to dine. It’s an incredible place that is not duplicated anywhere in OKC. Robert, Jonathon and our Cosmic Food Guru to the universe, deEtte, make our evenings special every time and so very personal. Do yourself a favor and book a table. NOW!!
The staff were very courteous and attentive. The restaurant is dimly lit with an intimate feeling. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good. I enjoyed the sourdough bread... not tough like you sometimes find. But the gnocchi and my mom's spaghetti sauce were tasteless. I really had my hopes up!! I was hoping to find my new favorite restaurant.
Seems they were off a bit from normal. We always enjoy the dining experience here but it just didn’t live up to its normal service and flavor.
My husband and I were downtown on business one weeknight and decided on Patrono. It was lovely. Warm and inviting with knowledgeable wait staff. We had the swordfish appetizer and summer salad. We ordered the halibut special and it was delicious! You cannot go wrong with this place!
Absolutely perfect. Our waiter was amazing and the food was OUTSTANDING! 5 Stars!!!!!
AWESOME ALL AROUND! Food, ambience, waiter, etc. - everything was perfect and delicious!
On a busy night, no one to greet us when we arrived. Our service was somewhat indifferent but the folks at the next table were treated like they were famous.
For an Italian restaurant there were a lot of steaks on the menu, rather than sonething a bit more Italian. My octopus appetizer was good, and the gnocchi entree undercooked and flavorless. Desserts good, and wine list good but pricy.
Most customers were having a good time so maybe it was just us. We are new to OKC and will keep searching for the city's best restaurants.
Patrono is our go-to dinner place before shows/musicals ... conveniently located 1 block from the Civic Center Music Hall. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is delightful & the wine list is adequate. Robert & staff make everyone feel welcome ... we have enjoyed every visit!
Very good recommendations from staff. The food was very good. The bread and whipped balsamic vinegar butter was delicious!
Wonderful as usual! Our server was Garret and he was fabulous. We had the pasta special and linguine with lump crab, yum. Of course the desserts were delicious.
The host seemed un-prepared even though a reservation was made. The server was behind for the entire meal. The food was served with little hospitality. Had to ask to describe some of the items. The server was not available when needed. The portions seemed small and looked small on the plate.
Service excellence = 49% technical proficiency, 51% enlightened hospitality.
Shhhhh.... please, let’s keep this jewel to ourselves! Robert is such a good host and his food is outstanding.
Cannot recommend Patrono enough! Great business lunch and dinner spot
The food is always fabulous at Patrono. They use the freshest of ingredients and come up with amazing dishes. This time it was a peach carpaccio with prosciutto. They also have one of the best wine lists in town for Italian wines. I always get a recommendation for something new that we just love. This is truly a gem for OKC!
The food here is always really delicious. As a vegetarian, they are always willing to make subsitutions for me but also carry several great options on the basic menu. Delicious selection of cocktails, apps and salads as well. Go ahead and splurge on the bread at lunch!
They accommodated a group of 11 at 9 pm very graciously. Service was efficient and friendly. Food tasted great and their menu had choices for everyone in my picky crowd.
The owner was extremely friendly. We were seated right away. All of our food had lots of flavor. They had authentic Italian dishes and really cool craft cocktails.
Excellent service!! Very good food!! We will come back when we visit Oklahoma City again. Robert, at the door very friendly, and Seth? the waiter super professional. Love the place!!
Our waitress was fabulous and Chef Jonathan did an exceptional job with the pork chop! He even came out to talk to us to which was a nice touch! We will be back again and again!
Loved Patrono. Customer service was excellent and food was delicious.
Good food and creative menu. Love this restaurant a lot. $26 for a pasta plate was a bit steep but definitely tasty.
We love Patrono for its authentic Italian dishes and menu variety. The food and service is always on point and keeps us coming back!
We drove in from Western Okla on a date night and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was excellent and food was very good. It got a little loud after 6 but still had nice ambiance.
Wonderful service, great wines, appetizers were delicious, but the entrees were not as good as I had hoped.
Patrono is so amazing that we went twice in a week. The service is friendly, but not overbearing. The owner, Robert, greeted us on both occasions and was very warm and welcoming. The suppli al telefono — a version of arancini— was a lovely appetizer. I had the pork chop both times and both times, it was cooked to perfection. Their Limoncello Drop is a standout of their cocktail menu, and their almond cake is an unique and delicious dessert option. This restaurant is easily in the top 3 in OKC!
I’m so happy that i found Patrono while visiting OKC. Patrono is the “real deal”. It has what all great restaurants must have: 1) great food; 2) genuine & warm service; and 3) a welcoming environment.
Patrono is definitely in the running as the best restaurant in OKC. It’s rare to find elevated dining in a town that still relies too much on southern comfort food and steakhouses. Patrono is worth visiting simply for Jonathan Krell’s cooking. He’s a real talent. But, as importantly, i loved the service (under the guidance of GM Robert Painter). Service is warm and genuine and definitely NOT pretentious. A special thanks to Matt and to Tamera for taking care of an enthusiastic solo diner.
A couple of highlights on my great dinner:
1) First, the SWORDFISH CRUDO...as good of a crudo as I’ve ever had. The seafood was fresh; the castelvetrano green olives (both real and formed from olive purée) added great salt; the grapefruit & orange added great acid. The radishes and fennel frond weren’t just pretty add-ons, but added real taste and texture. I wasn’t ready for how much i liked this dish.
2) Second, i had the BONE-IN PORK CHOP...”simple” - yet perfectly cooked and seared and seasoned, juicy, flavorful, and balanced with polenta, green beans & pancetta and sautéed mushrooms. Note: don’t judge Italian food by its pasta - but by its meat!!
3) Last, i had the ALMOND CAKE...terrific, moist, and complemented by Italian Amarena cherries.
Patrono had a nice Italian wine list too. I’ll definitely be back and I recommend Patrono highly to those who haven’t found it yet.
Two couples for dinner before a Lyric show. It was perfect--near theatre, quiet enough for conversation, and the food was very good.
My wife and I decided to eat here before attending a performance at the Civic Center since it was a short walk. Despite the rave reviews, I would have to give it a "so-so" rating. We started off with the SUPPLI AL TELEFONO appetizer which was, to me, rather tasteless. Our server provided us with a sampling of three different wines before we made our choice, which was very nice. The bread and spreads were very good. For our entrees, I chose the CHICKEN AL MATTONE. It was, in all honesty, just okay. The chicken was a bit dry, and the salsa verde and ricotta didn't add much. My wife chose spaghetti with meatballs. Again, just okay; nothing out of the ordinary. For dessert we shared a piece of ALMOND CAKE with Amarena cherries. Like the appetizer, the cake was rather tasteless, but was saved by the cherries. With tip, the bill came to just under $100.00. We left somewhat disappointed and probably won't be back.
Chef Jonathan Krell's food is stellar every single time. We had lobster raviolo that were incredible, and the swordfish crudo is the best crudo I've had in OKC. Thor was fantastic serving, as always, and the entire experience was topnotch. I've come to expect that from Robert Painter and his Patrono team.
Made a reservation for 7 for dinner before a Lyric show. Our waiter, Trent, was SUPERB! He made the best recommendations, kept everything filled (water, bread, cocktails) and made sure we were not late for the show. We had the lobster raviolo and it was DIVINE. It was my first time at Patrono but it will certainly NOT be my last. Highly recommend.
Their food is amazing and the wait staff is very knowledgeable. It’s a fun place to dine!
Always a wonderful experience at Patrono! Great food, great service, great vibe!
Great food and service. Got us in and out quickly in time for show at Civic Center. Highly recommend!
Our waiter, Travis, I believe was his name, was very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Great service all around.
Best Italian in OKC!!
Such great food, awesome service, and nice atmosphere. Will be returning when in OKC again!!
My husband and I went to Patrono to celebrate our 20th Anniversary & were not disappointed. We were seated right away (with a reservation of course) and were promptly brought water & menus. Our server was very knowledgeable and personable. I really like how approachable and friendly the staff was. The restaurant is definitely upscale but is in no way pretentious or stuffy. We were seated right outside the kitchen, which for an avid home chef like myself, was a real treat! We started our meal with the quail appetizer with frisée salad & shaved black truffles & it was so savory & delicious! My husband had the fish special which was sea bass with beluga farrow, pea purée & shaved black truffles. He basically licked his plate clean, he enjoyed it so much! I was really wanting to judge the quality of the Italian food, so I went with the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was bright and flavorful without being overly acidic. The meatballs were good sized and very flavorful. I also enjoyed a moscato spritzer which was very light & refreshing. We ended our meal by sharing the blood orange sorbet..it bursting with the unique citrus flavors of the blood orange and it was the perfect cool treat to cap off an outstanding meal. We will definitely return!
At Patrono, we were greeted at the door like friends, though we were dining there for the first time. The service, menu, presentation and ambience met our special occasion needs. Loved!
Food and service first class!!
Always great food and exceptional service!
