This was one of the worst meals we have ever had.
Not only was the service bad, but the food was mediocre to say the least.
Absolutely zero attention to detail. The fish of the day was over cooked. They did, however, take the “broiled” platter that was intact blackened off of the bill when sent back. But that is the only positive comment about this restaurant.
3rd time there, always very good, food excellent, drinks very well prepared, service friendly, and attentive. It's not just Seafood, their Steaks are not notch !
We were seated on the patio by a hostess, and no server greeted us or took drink orders for 15 minutes. We went inside to ask for service, waited 10 minutes more with no service. Eventually we got up and went somewhere else. we’ve been here before and the food is good. This, however, was a bad experience.
Went for a late Mother’s Day lunch. This is a nice looking place and has potential but both the food and the service were below expectations. It was clear that there was not a strong manager in place the day we were there. I would blame it on Mother’s Day, but other reviews show a pattern of poor service and mediocre food. It’s relatively expensive as well. That’s a losing combo in the restaurant business and I wouldn’t be surprised if this place struggles as a result.
WE had two Po'Boys here. One with friend shrimp & one with fried oysters. Both were delicious but the one with fried oysters was excellent. Delicious oysters. Definitely my choice if I return here & I would return here if in town again.
It is a great place and we have been there before without issues, but this time we waited 20 minutes for someone to take out drink order another 10 for meal and our food arrived a little over an hour after we arrived... there were only a few tables seated and many empty seats- so we arent sure why it took so long for everything :(
I reserved Outdoor seating a week in advance and was given a high top window view instead. After I told the hostess nicely that I reserved Outdoor she said this was all she could give me and "at least I can see outside". It was a beautiful Easter Sunday and was really looking forward to eating on the patio. Our waiter was great, but the food, seating and hostess situation wasn't.
Food and staff were amazing!
Food and service was spot on. Only complaint is it was crowded with prom goers and was pretty loud because of it
Our first time at Patio 44. It was recommended by a friend. We will definitely be back. Loved the spacing of the tables. Noise level was low enough that we could actually visit with our group. Want to request the next location in Covington/Mandeville LA area.
It was everything and more. The chicken and waffles were the best I’ve ever had. My favorite dish here in the south by far.
The waitress was super super sweet ❤️💪🏾
The food left something to be desired. My piece of fish still had the scales on it, and I was constantly picking them out of my mouth, my husband’s fish was good, but missed the mark flavor-wise. My grits were a bit too sticky, and the sauce they put on top was just the littlest bit in the center of the fish.
Great service, And the food is, A plus. Gumbo is a little too thick for my preference, but would definitely eat there again.
All four of us thought the food was great our server was outstanding did a great job taking care of us
They forgot our salads and brought the food out entirely too fast. They also ttok forever to bring aour 2nd drink order.
Some confusion with seating, but quickly resolved. The food and service was excellent! We took our out-of-town guests and we had a very pleasant evening.
My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner at Patio 44. The reservation process was excellent and we were seated immediately. The serving staff had a lot of tattoos on her arms which was not very appealing and one server had strangely colored hair. For an eating establishment, I think they need to be more mindful of the appearance of people handling your food. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. My husband did not like the gumbo and the staff took it off our bill. She mentioned someone else had returned theirs also. My steak was prepared beautifully and was delicious. The chocolate mousse was also very tasty, but the serving size was too much. It was placed in a soup cup. It needed a little crunchiness to offset the smoothness of the mousse. All in all, we will certainly return! It's nice to have a new restaurant on the coast!
The good was great snd our server was very attentive. However, thd noise level deters from the experience
Our first time there.... We were the only ones in the dinning room for over an hour (5pm).. Service took forever... $160 for 3 people, I would have expected great service. Also the noise lever was awful even though there were only a few people there at the time. And the food was nothing special. I don't think we'll be back.
Taylor did a fantastic job as our server. The food was excellent with generous portions.
I was quite impressed with the quality of the meal, but quite disappointed in the ambience. It left me cold. It is not cozy. It wasn't warm or inviting. I thought it was almost institutional.
I was impressed with our waiter. He was very good.
It was good
2nd time at the Gulfport location. The food, service, and cocktails were outstanding. I love the atmosphere here also.
The lighting was a bit bright in my opinion. The meal was excellent, and the server, Pink, was very attentive.
Seafood platter was loaded with cornmeal. Big chunks of cornmeal mixed in with food. Crawfish overcooked. Too easy to do nice seafood platter - should be signature dish. Blackened catfish was ok, but portion was too large.
Patio 44 is a great addition to downtown Gulfport. They have a diverse menu from seafood to steaks to hamburgers. I had the grilled shrimp tacos and gouda grits for lunch. This meal did not disappoint!! Very fresh seafood and the grits were divine. This restaurant has great outdoor seating with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. We are inside though because it was a little chilly. My friend had a hamburger as that was the specialty on Wednesday. She thoroughly enjoyed it too. We had a very friendly, knowledgeable waitress. I will definitely go back to Patio 44 again. It is great for special occasions, groups or just lunch with a friend. 5 stars!
The cost did not support the food quality or service .
First visit to the area great restaurant the duck and fried duck appetizer where out of 5his world
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and our server, Addison, was exceptional.
Our server Zack was attentive, food mediocre, noise level awful!! We could not hear each other talk!!
Over all a good experience, waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave honest opinion about entree selections when asked. Did a phenomenal job serving us. Only thing I ordered a steak and wanted it medium rare and it came out medium well and it was a little over a seasoned. Still juicy and good just not the way I prefer my steak.
We always love this place. This was our first time trying this location and they did not disappoint. The debris fries and the etoufee are our favorites. They also have some of the friendliest wait staff on the coast.
Overcooked, dry wrong cut of beef ( ordered ribeye, got sirloin) slow service, overpriced ( 2.00 for a pat of garlic butter on the over cooked steak) Catfish was “ muddy and fishy” . Would not recommend.
One soft shell and a poached egg hardly a good value at 33.00. Taste was good but value was pitiful. Crab claws small at 16.00 but tasty. They have taken two of my favorites I’ve had in biloxi off their menu. We will choose another restaurant in the future. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is good but overall not a good experience.
Had a great meal and great service ! Field pea, tomato and okra appetizer, fried crab claws and center cut sirloin with asparagus.
Very, very good !!!
The food, service and price were great. We have decided we will return for our net gathering of old friends. Parking was easy. Brunch was very good. Location is perfect.
Great "step-up" from from the other beach area restaurants - not stuffy, but nice, clean and bright, modern decor, great food, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The menu varied from sandwiches and hamburgers to steaks and seafood. We ordered the pecan chicken and fried chicken and waffles. Both were tasty with a hint of "heat" in the sweet sauce and nicely presented. Our friends had the filet steaks and said they were tender and cooked as ordered. We have also eaten at the Patio 44 in Biloxi and found it to be a good dining experience.
We were travelling back to New Orleans and needed a quick bite to eat. Patio 44 was recommended by a local and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and efficiency of food and service despite only being open a few weeks. We sat at the bar and shared the duck strips and a pork chop entree cooked to perfection. If we were locals, we would definitely be back!
