Had the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each course was spectacular both in taste and presentation. They also added a series of amuse bouches that were excellent. My wife and I had most of the same courses, but the sommelier often gave us different wines to pair which gave us the chance to have some variety along the way. Even the breads were awesome. Overall, a fantastic experience, and started early enough that we still had time to make it to our concert.

The food, was wonderful. Each dish was absolutely delicious and beautiful in the presentation. But what really made the evening into a very special memory for us was Patina's wonderful staff. Brian guided us through the menu & orchestrated the timing & educated us on the delights perfectly. Christine paired the wines for us & picked wonderful & interesting choices for our 6-course meal. Martin & Mila made sure everything went wonderfully. We applaud the Chefs for the food & thank them for the delightful amuse bouche which started our adventure. Each staff member who attended our table was kind & knowledgeable. Of special note was the Japanese kinmedai. Which was exquisite we were delighted with the frozen foie gras. We want to compliment the Chef's culinary creativity.

Great ambience very convenient to Disney Hall for a special occasion. However overpriced and the food is just ordinary. Very disappointed in the quality. Ordered lobster and it was very tough and chewy. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

The service at Patina was wonderful. My friend and I met up over Thanksgiving weekend and decided to dine there and was not let down. The waiters catered to every need and one even took notice of my friend's liking towards the fig bread and brought out more, fresh from the kitchen and complimentary. The food was sometimes salty, but overall had a great taste. Thank you!

Wait over 15 min at the table, no one come. I bring a water jug from corner table and serve for my guests... Then, wait 10 min more for the menu. Cheese plate we ordered is dry and no tasty at all. Other dishes are good. We also got over charge... Very sad thanksgiving, I loved this restaurant but..

Our group of five absolutely LOVED our Thanksgiving dinner! Three had turkey, one beef and one salmon. All plates were perfectly prepared and presented exquisitely, especially the petite won ton cone shape salmon amuse bouche and the crab appetizer! The berry bread was wonderful and the bread pudding, pumpkin pie and cheese plate were delicious! But it didn’t end there, the Chef sent us two plates filled with chocolate bon bons, mini berry tarts and sugar berry candies, yummy!

What made the evening even more delightful and fun was Brian! BRIAN IS THE BEST! He’s warm, very funny and made excellent recommendations from the main course to our bottle water (Voss and Iskilde). Have Brian show you/tell you about Iskilde and do a tasting of both. Another plus was meeting Martin, the water sommelier and manager! Also a very fun and lovely person who we realized we had seen on TV!

If you’re looking for a place with excellent food and a good vibe, you have go to Patina!

Thank you all at Patina for working on Thanksgiving and making our family Thanksgiving dinner a very special and fun one! We’ll be back!

Dinner for four on Thanksgiving. Very nice 4 course, service was pretty solid for a major holiday, the bread guy saved the day because we were starving!!! the beef wagyu was simply outrageous but the turkey was also moist and plentiful. No disappointments at all, worth the drive to downtown because no to much traffic.

Patina is excellent in every respect. The food was unusual and very interesting. The wine list, though full of pricey wines, also had some more reasonably priced selections. The service was attentive without being obtrusive, the sommelier always poured the wine before we had finished our glasses. Also, as we were drinking white wine, I particularly liked that the wine was at the right temperature, and not so cold as to kill the flavor and the nose! The restaurant is very quiet, which for us is a real pleasure. It is located in the Disney hall, and as we had been to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, it was just a couple hundred yards and we didn't have to move the car.

We arrived early and were greeted. This place has excellent service through and through. We did notify the server that we had a 7:30 opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. We barely made it out in time for the opera as we were waiting on desert at the end. The sommelier was excellent and accommodating. Our main beef course was overcooked. It seems the server mixed up mine with another in our party. He also ordered beef and asked for well done, while I/we ordered medium rare.

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special 6-course tasting menu, recomended by Kurtis. A very friendly welcoming place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All personnel were very well trained, accommodating and helpful (all done with a smile). Everything was handled with efficiency and attention to every detail was given. Food was delicious and the view was wonderful while dining. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to our anniversary so memoriable and pleasurable.

Our recent experience at Patina has been excellent. The chef has ratcheted up the quality and presentation several notches. Christina the Sommelier has excellent recommendations for wine. The wait-staff is friendly but attentive. The corn agniotti had a very corn-forward flavor (as they should) and the season amuse bouche was beautifully presented.

It was a weird experience. Tables are not set with napkins--which is okay if they remember to give you one. I only got a napkin when I mentioned it as they served my drink. I conferred with the waiter about appetizers--I was torn between the corn agnolotti and the foie gras. I said I'll take the corn agnolotti. I got the foie gras (which had a $12 surcharge) but didn't say anything as I had a concert to go to. Very tasty. But as I was having a beef main, I could have used something lighter. For dessert I opted for a coconut selection; earlier that day I had had a delicious coconut tapioca dessert at PWT. The one at Patina was very tasty, but I don't know that it was better than PWT (which is not a fine dining restaurant). The waiter brought me petit fours. I ate them, the plate was removed and someone brought me identical petit fours.

The food is very good, the atmosphere is serene and pleasant, and the place is really convenient for the Disney Center. But they clearly had an off night at high prices.

With Patina's priciness, you expect something special. On an October 2017 evening, it wasn't. We weren't warned that our only choices (for a pre-theatre dinner) were a three-course or six-course prix fix dinner. The three-course dinner (the only one practical for pre-theatre) left us only with 2 fish dishes and a chicken dish to choose from. My wife and I each had one of the fish dishes, which were mediocre. Upon serving dessert, the wait staff disappeared, and it took forever to order a capuccino, which first arrived as decafe (which we didn't order) and then arrived lukewarm. Patina is capitalizing on its (famous) name and captive audience at Disney Hall. It is convenient to the concerts!

Be sure to utilize the water sommerleir as patina has a wide variety of both still & sparkling waters from which to choose. Our sommerlier was very instructive in matching some waters to the particular to the six course menu.

Patina was gracious and aware that we had an 8 o'clock curtain. Without rushing us we had a very pleasant and most delicious meal before the theatre. Of special note was the dover sole which was tender and tasty. Every course was served elegantly with well sized portions allowing for a good tasting experience without becoming overly full by the final course.

The staff was attentive and did well to help with a birthday celebration.

Although I dined alone, Patina is ideal for a date. The staff is very considerate regarding the time and comfort of their guests. They were conscientious enough to ask if I was seeing a performance that evening. I ordered the 3 course sampler and everything that was presented to me was scrumptious.

Considering Patina is the flagship restaurant, we were surprised and very disappointed by the inconsistent food quality and unknowledgeable wait staff, with the main exception of the Sommelier, Kristina. She was excellent, very knowledgeable and suggested unique pairings.

The Good: The Sommelier, Kristina.
We ordered 3-course, prix fixed menu. The Beef Entrée was very good as was the Dover Sole. We were there pre-opera, and they were able to get us out in time without feeling rushed, we appreciated that.

The Bad:
- There was no acknowledgement by wait staff after being seating for approx. 10 minutes (the Sommelier was the first one to approach us as she noticed we did not have any water or menus) Our waiter was nice, but was unknowledgeable of some of the menu items. (Even diner waitresses are familiar with their menu!)
- Our napkins were missing and we had to flag down a waiter for them after our meal was served, and had to flag another waiter to have our water glasses filled
Considering the price point|reputation of this restaurant group, this is unacceptable.
- They have a great bread basket, but no gluten free options. I'm used to this, but really appreciate it when restaurants at least try to creatively accommodate GF-ers, especially higher end restaurants in the larger cities. I've been GF for over 15 years, so this isn't some trendy hip thing for me. There are good bakeries in LA that make GF bread fit for high end restaurants.
- When I asked the waiter which dessert course was GF, he didn't seem to know.
- I ordered the roasted beet salad starter-- and until that night, I'd never met a beet salad that I didn't like. It was sooo bland, I knew SOMETHING had to be missing -- it wasn't a cohesive dish. Under seasoned, no dressing. The waiter asked how I liked the dish, I was honest & the mgr came over and pretty much told me it was just fine.
We would have been embarrassed if we had recommended this restaurant based on our experience.

I had very high expectations for Patina, the service was top notch, but the entree was mediocre and the dessert was just poor. The ambience is nonexistent, like the lobby of an insurance company from the 90's, but with tables.
