We enjoyed a delayed Valentine's Day on 2/15/20 at Patina with the Chef's Tasting Menu (and wine pairings.) Both food and wines were simply delicious. Scallop & Hamachi Crudo stood out as wonderfully balanced. Trout was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth - a true taste of heaven. The Bordelaise with the Wagyu Ribeye was ridiculously well made, flavorful and balanced the richness of the beef brilliantly. I could not have asked for a better meal. (Caveat - I chose a mushroom cavatelli that was rich and layered in earthiness, without regret. However, I might need to return, as the risotto with black truffle was served to our neighbors, and we sat trying not to drool as the Maitre D shaved the most generous blanket of black truffle over their risotto. Napkin, please!) Patina's decor is unpretentious, but beautifully reflects the Disney Concert Hall architecture nicely. The staff were friendly, approachable and very attentive. While Patina is not for the everyday dining experience for most - at least not for anyone whose budget is anything close to mine - it is a destination any discerning palate would be enriched to experience, regardless of how long you save. The meals took a long time to come out. I had the 5 course meal and my date had the 3 course meal. The portions were very small and took a long time to come out.

Tom and all of his colleagues served us very well...always attentive to us, without our needing to ask for their attention to fine dining details.
And the sophisticated and tongue-tantalizing cuisine from the chef(s) ... well I have not found finer in Los Angeles.
However, the strawberry dessert was somewhat dry for our tastes, so we wouldn't order that again.
Came in after the pre-symphony rush. Very few busy tables, quiet and staff were good, but a bit casual. The food was good, but not hot, barely warm. Would I rush back? Not based on this particular dinner, but I like Patina, so perhaps this was just what happens once the rush of the symphony crowd head upstairs to the show.
Everything was wonderful. The food presentation was beautiful and taste didn’t disappoint. Only complaint is and it maybe Open Table advertised incorrectly but we chose to go to Patina since it showed up for free corkage and to dust off our wine. We were charged $30 for corkage. The restaurant interior design seemed small and very simple than I remember. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I think it was very good choice to celebrate my friend’s Birthday.
The food is excellent. However, one person in our party wanted a green salad; she was unable to get a salad with goat cheese, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. The communication about the salad was a comedy of errors.
They've really stepped up their game since the last we ate here two years ago. Service, food, everything was just perfect. Super attentive.

Tutto bene. Cibo ottimo e ben presentato. Uno appunto di rilievo la figura del maitre decisamente poco cordiale, molto sbrigativa e assai poco sorridente. Peccato. Un minimo di gentilezza in più avrebbe certamente fatto una sostanziale differenza.
The staff, under the guidance of Mr. Welby, is OUTSTANDING. Chef Andrea Roller's cuisine is exquisite. Patina makes for a memorable experience-culinary, artistic, beautiful and surreal. It's as if we were unsuspectingly an integral part of some spectacular performance from the moment we were cordially greeted at the door. This is a hidden gem, nestled befittingly in an architectural masterpiece.
Went there for our 20th anniversary. Wonderful service and super food. Really made us feel very special.

An incredible experience. The restaurant greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. The service was impeccable from wine, to bread service, to truffle shaving to dessert. Amazing experience through and through. The food was outstanding and very creative. Beautiful presentation of high quality ingredients. I highly recommend.

Appetizers are always clever and lovely, and serve as appetizers! A delight to be at a place that we can have a pleasant converstation - thanks for keeping the ambiance so perfect.
Patina is always a treat and Saturday night it was especially so. My daughter and I enjoyed the Chef's 5 course tasting menu and wine pairings, which was outstanding, but have to call out the amazing staff which truly make the experience so special. The ambience is beautiful and relaxing too, so across the board it is definitely one of LA's finest dining experiences. We are anxious to return.
Everything was excellent except for the beef. No fat at all which is depressing, and fear of seasoning or marinating just makes for pretty boring meat. But everything else was excellent including the gentle and erroneous arrogance of some servers.
Food was very good but extremely small portions for the price. At the end of our meal we were offered a cheese plate (thinking it was part of the meal, I accepted). When the bill came, it was $30. I was a little surprised at the cost but did not want to complain as the rest of the evening was wonderful. We already knew this was not going to be an inexpensive night, we just wish the portion size was a little larger for the money paid.
