Dined here during restaurant week. The decor and ambiance are very nice. The valet parking very convenient. Upon being seated we were greeted by our server and offered choices of water. Our server never offered us anything from the bar. I had to tell her we each wanted a glass of wine. We dined off the restaurant week menu which gave us an appetizer, meal and dessert for $40.19 each. For the appetizer my wife chose the pierogi. It was a large pierogi with a rather dry filling sitting on top of a mountain of sour cream. Besides the pierogi being quite flavorless the over abundance of sour cream made it cold. I chose the Caesar salad and found it quite good and adequately proportioned. For our main course my wife had roast chicken which she enjoyed. It came with a delicious side of wafer thin stacked potatoes and mushrooms. I chose the trout almondine. The presentation was a bit awkward. It came skin up with the almonds and capers on top of the skin. I’m thinking most eat the fleshy white meat of the fish and skip the skin. I had to move the capers and almonds off and then remove the skin to get at the meat. The portion of meat left was quite small and not satisfying. It came with some leafy garnish and nothing else. Our meals came with dessert. There were two to choose from. I chose a chocolate item and my wife a flan. They were out of the flan. She really didn’t want the chocolate dessert so went without. I would have thought they would offer a substitute. There were bread plates and knives next to us. I’m not sure why as we never seen bread. We dine out frequently and thought restaurant week was a way to give customers a chance to try new places to dine. We had heard good things about Patina 250 but didn’t experience it ourselves. I will however give them another try hoping this was just an off night.
We try out new restaurants during restaurant week - you never know how they are going to handle it.
Patina 250 kept it professional, the food was good and our server was awesome - we will
add Patina250 to our go to list when we are downtown.
Fabulous food and decor and service. Highly recommend it
I ordered a Gibson but the bar did not have cocktail onions! Really?!
The waiter says, “well, we don’t sell many martinis”. I don’t believe it.
Buy a jar of cocktail onions for the bar to have so you can better serve people like me.
Overall, a first class restaurant.
I read the reviews about Patina 250 prior to going and most were very good. My husband and I were pleasantly pleased that the food and service far exceeded our expectations. Our server was very knowledgeable, attentive and never missed a beat. Prior to dinner we had baked house made Ricotta then for dinner we had Scottish Salmon as well as a Crab/pasta dish for the entree. Everything was delicious! My husband did order a side of mashed potatoes that were a bit too salty. They were quickly replaced by a side of couscous w/cranberries which were so good!
Came here friday night before a show due to all the amazing things I've heard about this restaurant. We were seated and ordered drinks, about 20 minutes went by another server asked if a server had been over to us yet. We then watched our waitress realize we never had our drinks and go get them... We watched the tables on either side of us whom were seated after we were, get bread and even refills of bread but not us. Those tables were even half way done with their meals by the time we got ours. And having to "wave down" our waitress for the bill was ridiculous. I feel I paid way to much money for Applebee's type service. I expected way better.
The food was great as was the service. The only “complaint,” if you could call it that, was that the music selection didn’t seem to match with the atmosphere in the restaurant.
Very good menu, our meals were delicious.
Amazing brunch, great service and a phenomenal value. Franklin is tip notch!
Beautiful setting and great service.
Unfortunately some dishes were too salty to taste the ingredients themselves.
Loved the atmosphere and good selection of wine, but food was not good.
Our server David was excellent. Our breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this beautifully decorated restaurant attached to the Westin hotel.
Excellent service. Very accommodating of food allergies
This was fine dining’ at its absolute best!!!! From the staff to the food to the ambiance Patina 250 is one of the finest restaurants I have dined Particular kudos to our waiter Franklin His attention to his patrons and his attention to detail was amazing Guys ladies you want a outstanding fine dining experience with that someone special make it Patina 250
The ambiance was great for a date. We sat in a booth, which allowed for privacy. Would like to see more options on the entree menu.
Patina 250 is always an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.
We were looking forward to this and it was a bit disappointing. We had a Caesar (best I’ve ever had), pierogis (good), baked Brie (cold), white gazpacho (very good) and the duck which was over cooked. Very attentive service. The layout was weird. The room was interesting.
Anniversary dinner - very good. Some remodeling underway so seating was a little odd but service was outstanding. Food was very good - the agnelotti were excellent and the dessert special! Thank you
Service by Julie was excellent, food was delicious
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch on 9/8/19. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and had a pleasant table at the back but a bit too close to a somewhat noisy birthday party in the big private room. The food was excellent, we took the brunch special which is good value for money when you consider it includes unlimited champagne or wine. My friend ordered the crab cakes which were the best we have ever had, I had a Cesar salad which was more than enough for two. We both had the eggs Benedict which were delicious, served over home made biscuits with just the right amount of Hollandaise sauce. While the desserts were tempting we were just too full to try them. Our serving person Julie was very attentive, warm and cheerful and made excellent recommendations from the menu. We had a delightful time and will definitely return.
Beautiful place. Brunch was delicious. Highly recommend. Excellent service.
Food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful!
This was an excellent birthday experience! The service was outstanding and my server went out of his way to make it a cery special experience for me!
I went for brunch for my Birthday. Everything was good and our waitress Jessica was awesome.
The food was delicious and our server Julie was wonderful
Service was outstanding, however we had to send a drink back twice because it tasted so bad. Ordered the duck and it was very dry and flavorless, I hate complaining but I really should have because it was a $38 entree. The place is breathtakingly beautiful inside and as I said service was A+. I would give this place another chance, maybe they were just having an off night.
Server was wonderful. Very helpful with making our dinner choices. Party of 3. Salmon was fantastic. Scallops perfectly cooked and pork chop very tender and delicious.
Would highly recommend this restaurant
Patina 250 is in a hotel and is stylish and relaxing. Food was really delicious and very well presented.
The food here is always fresh and delicious! The service this visit finally matched the food! Their menu constantly changes and everything is always so good. Best crab cakes I've ever had, even better than what you get in Maryland!
Possibly the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Well done all the way around Patina 250. Definitely will return.
From the drinks to the appetizers, the service and quality of food was outstanding
The service was fantastic and the surroundings lovely. I especially liked seeing art by local artists on the walks
Service, food and ambiance was wonderful. Also, grate for lunch meetings!
Went to Patina 250 for brunch. The food and service was excellent! The atmosphere and restaurant are beautiful, modern and love that you can see the kitchen.
Fabulous food, great price! I couldn’t believe it wasn’t busier! Do yourself a favor and grab brunch at Patina 250 before it books up!
The food was great but the waiter was terrible. He wasn’t attentive our drinks took awhile and when they did come they were done incorrectly. He implied it was the bartender’s fault. However his service continued to be sub par. Our reservation was August 3rd at 7:00 and NOT busy.
We spend most of our summer in the Buffalo area and are constantly trying both new and established restaurants because we are true foodies! Patina 250 was a great experience for us. Yes, it is expensive but worth every dollar we spent. Located in the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Buffalo one can't help but be impressed when you get the first glimpse of the restaurant. The bar has a unique comfortable design and the tables were spaced apart so you don't feel like you are sitting in someones lap. The menu had some creative choices which was a problem for us because everything looked enticing. From Prime Beef to a crispy Duck a l'orange every appetizer and entree we tried was superb. We had the same problem with the desserts, every one of them sounded great! The presentation of the food and the knowledge that our server Julie had about the preparation of the dishes made it even more enjoyable. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant. It is classy with a great ambiance. If you could only eat in one restaurant during your visit here and although there are some very good choices I would have to say that Patina 250 would be the one to dine at.
The restaurant is beautiful! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back again!
Beautiful restaurant. Great Prix Fixe brunch menu. Great bellinis. Friendly service!
Excellent service & food... make sure to double check your bill!
Kathleen, I am sorry for the misunderstanding with your bill this past weekend. I will be contacting you by PM to go over the charges. We are in the business of creating positive experiences & memories. Honesty & integrity is at the forefront of creating those experiences. I hope you will give us another try!
Mixed feelings. Burrata salad came with several slices of what I think was prosciutto under the cheese, completely ruined the salad. I ordered the sweet corn polenta and it was nothing more than a bowl of creamed corn. The cauliflower appetizer and duck were quite good. As it is so often now, the music was way too loud, I am so tired of having to talk over it when trying to have a normal conversation. Overall, would not return.
I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at Patina 250. We strive to serve the highest quality ingredients. We take negative reviews very seriously. The food, service & ambiance are the key ingredients to a great experience and I am sorry that we did not hit the mark. I sincerely hope that you would consider trying us again so we can make it right!
