My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant for our date night. It did not disappoint. Every dish was delicious. The cocktails were nice and boozy. I highly recommend the Caesar salad and the Cornish hen. The deconstructed cheesecake was also delicious. We will be back soon!

The food is amazing here. Highly recommend Chef Nick Ruggiero’s creative flavours. His “Ciaolongbao” dish was definitely the highlight.

A restaurant with a lot of attention to a lot of little details that does not go unnoticed. Taste, plating, service and decor all on point. It’s a hidden gem.

Recently met a friend for Friday night dinner at Pastiche. We had a very early reservation (6pm) and there were only two or three other diners there at the time. Within an hour or two the place was filled. Small, intimate, cozy. Excellent, attentive service. Great ambiance, and the noise level was such that we could easily carry on a conversation. Interesting selection for the background music. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very knowledgeable and eager to share information on the food and wine on offer. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared four items, and could not finish everything. We ordered the potatoes, fried cornish hen, dumplings and braised beef short ribs. Next time I go I will order the same items, maybe minus the dumplings. The dumplings were excellent, but the other items were over-the-top delicious. Who knew potatoes could be so wonderful. Spent about three hours there, and loved every minute of it. Can't recommend Pastiche enough. Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

We ordered everything from their menu with a group of 6. The ceviche, fried Cornish hen, Ceasar salad, short ribs and chicken mahjoob were outstanding plates. The waitress took control of figuring out our menu and pacing. The drinks we ordered were a spectacle to see. Great experience!

I rarely leave reviews but i think they deserve this. One of the best restaurants my fiancé and I have had.

The front of the restaurant was questionable at first, however do not judge a book by it's cover.

The ambiance was dim, and intimate. It had a Alice in Wonderland- feel to it.

The service was on point. Our waitress was very attentive, and the manager ensured our dinner was good.

They had a pix fix menu for Valentine's day.
We ordered the soup to start, and it came in a vintage-like tea cup. The soup was chickpea with coconut shavings (sounds odd but it was very good!).
The duck egg rolls were crispy, juicy, and flavorful.
Our main was the short rib, and was served with potato fingerlings. The short rib was beyond tender, and melted in your mouth. I highly recommend this (if they still serve it).
Our dessert was the flambéd banana rice pudding, not my favorite but my fiance loved it!

When we got out bill, the manager personalized a letter to us. He wrote nothing but well wishes, and this made our experience even better.

Thank you for the wonderful food and experience. I look forward to coming back here :)

Our server recommend 2-4 sharing plates per person. We order 5 plates and felt that it was way too much food, because some plates were much larger than others. We initially only wanted to order 4, and when we told the server which dishes we wanted she still recommended a 5th. Some dishes were a hit and others a big miss. We loved the octopus, but we didn't like the mozzarella salad and couldn't take another bite. Also the different flavours of each dish didn't compliment each other. For example, the rice fries came out at the same time as the octopus. Once we had some rice fries, then octopus, we couldn't go back to eating the rice fries, the taste of both weren't great together. But both of those dishes came out at once. Even having the smells of both dishes at the table turned my stomach. The server took my cocktail away even though I wasn't finished. She should have asked. There were a few guys at the bar and one was extremely obnoxious and talking really loud, it seemed like he was a friend of the bartender and he was irritating. We won't be going back. Everything on the menu is way overpriced for the quality you get. Not worth it.

The manager had to comp our order due to poor service.

We were sat at the bar and were there for an hour and engaged only once by the bartender to order a round of drinks and the papas bravas (underwhelming). It was not overly busy, but the bartender was clearly overwhelmed with drink orders from their overly complicated cocktail program.

We were eager to order more food and a bottle of wine, but couldn't even get the attention of the bartender or two servers until I placed my credit card on the bar.

Terrible service. Not sure about the food really. We went to Roywoods on Ossington, which I can recommend for both the service and food.

I was a little disappointed when I dined at Pastiche. I made reservations for "the bar" when my party and I arrived we were seated at a shelf or a mantle. It was literally a ledge attached to a wall that was no more than 8 inches, not even wide enough to place a regular sized plate on. We had our winter jackets with us, but we're offered no spot to hang them (as we were sitting on stools without a back). We placed our order (of 4 dishes), the first two came out immediately, however the waiter struggled to rearrange our "table" in order to place our dishes on our table because there was no room. We finally asked to sit at the real bar because we saw two empty seats. They relocated us to that area and ate our first 2 dishes. Then waited 30 mins for our salad and entrée to arrive. No one came to check up on us at all or even give us an update on the status of the rest of our meal. Finally, we inquired and within 10 mins the rest of our order arrived. The entrée was good but it was room temperature, not hot. Overall, the food was ok. The ambiance was nice. But the service was lacking and made the experience forgettable.

Everything from the first sip of my cocktail to my last bite was perfect. The bar staff was so attentive and had a real passion for their craft which I appreciated and it showed with the drink selection. The food was really tasty and filling and was very well priced too especially for the portion sizes. I especially enjoyed the papas braces and the braised short ribs. Definitely going back!

I never write a reviews but this restaurant really came
As a surprise.

Great food. The slow cooked ribs and the fried chicken are to die for.

Great cocktails. The bartenders are amazing ... they make the best drinks. Just ask for a surprise cocktail

The ambiance is fantastic. Many cool personal touches all over the restaurant and the vibe is very friendly and cosy.

This is one of the finest places i have been in Ossington.

Definitely coming back and thank you
