Waiter was great until he was not available to get us our bill. After 20 min or more finally flagged another staff member. The scallops dish was mediocre. Rest of the dishes were excellent.

Used to be a favorite place, but quality of food, service, and overall experience have slipped significantly. Some of my previous favorite dishes I would not order again.

We picked this restaurant to meet friends for dinner because they had been to another Passionfish location and loved it. The service at the Reston location was outstanding! But the food was just ok. I had the swordfish special - it was dry and bland. Not sure I will be rushing back.

I've been going here for many years and have never had a bad experience. It's is unique to Reston Town Center in that they are "high end" but not overly so. They just want you to feel like your dinner is special which it usually is. Not pretentious like a high end steak house - just special.

The noise level was, well, noisy, which made for some challenging negotiations of a confidential nature, but the food more than compensated for the cluttered sound levels. Our server, while attentive when he had a chance, may well have been filling in for missing staff....if not, then management needs to reassess how many tables a waiter can simultaneously handle and still give each diner the attention that is deserved.

I've been to PF many times over the years and it's always a favorite. While the food is pricey, it's all very fresh and delicious. I especially enjoy dining in the outside patio when the weather is nice. My one complaint would be a waiter that has served me many times there. It's bad enough he never remembers his repeat clientele; but his repeat fake 'sales pitch' performance verbatim every time he serves my table to highlight the highest priced menu items is a real annoyance. He actually seemed annoyed when we only ordered entrees and kept asking if we were sure we didn't want salads or oysters to start. All this food and booze pushing but we couldn't hunt him down to refill our water glasses. As much as I love the food, I am beginning to dread going back and seeing him there.

Service was excellent;

The meal didn't match the price. The Sushi was quite pedestrian, limited oyster selection, the flounder was cooked (no complaints, but now wow either), and the knowledge about the available wine was lacking.

The ambiance and food is definitely more 'business meal' centric where location and decent food are the most important things. Recommend for that; but go elsewhere for date night.

This is our favorite restaurant in the area. The food and service are always spot on. Try the Sunday brunch - great selections at a reasonable price. Plus the Bloody Mary's are $2!

It was our 50th anniversary. Michelle took very good care of us and we appreciated the professional and personal way she interacted with us. Next week we'll have all family and friends for a celebration. We busted wanted the two of us to celebrate the actual anniversary by ourselves. Michelle understood that and acted accordingly.

Absolutely superb!

The menu was vast for a seafood restaurant but the quality was up there with the very best.

Great staff and a great place to eat amongst the many in the beautiful town of Reston.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. I requested a semi secluded table. We were seated on the second floor at a table overlooking the street. It was nice even though there were a few "loud" talkers at a table behind us. Our waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Our waiter recommended a fish dish for me that was similar to salmon when I told him I liked the salmon better, he offered to take the other dish back and have the chef make me the salmon.
Even though the restaurant is a little pricey, it was perfect for the occasion. It was nice getting spoiled.

Our go to for Fish. Still live the Flounder, perfectly grilled and the right amount of spice. We enjoyed the Early Special which included the appetizer and dessert (Cervice and Creme Brulee). Service always top-notch.

Never disappoints. Great service, great food. And for special occasions, if forewarned, they will go the extra distance to help make the birthday, anniversary, etc... very special. A wonderful, never fails restaurant.

Good but lack of personal touch. We were party of 5 for restaurant week dinner. Both of us and my parents were not big eaters. My parents are over 80+. We are in our 50+ to 60+. We wanted to order one order to share, but the waitress pointed out that "No sharing" sign on the menu. I felt that three course, with a big crispy flounder, will stuff two persons. We are americans, but not typical big eaters. So we ordered two side dishes, and two full dinner sets. The appetizer I had was ceviche, balanced taste with raw fish and lemon juice. The main course was crispy flounder, nice and crispy. Quite big portion. Definitely the whole fish, which we like, not the typical filet. However, the side dish is extreme spicy cucumber salad. I almost wanted to ask the chef to chew the salad down to see if he could finish that. I can eat quite spicy food. And that side salad is way beyond my tolerance level. The dessert I had was creme brulee, average kind, not special good. The 4 star I given was for the whole fish, and ceviche, not the side dish comes with the fish and dessert. Also, no sharing food is not so customer friendly.

We got there exactly at our reservation time, and asked to sit outside since the weather was nice. The hostess showed us to our table, and we requested a booster seat for our 2 year old which the hostess promised to bring. We then sat around for 20'ish minutes, with no booster seat and the waiter only stopped by once to bring us water and the menu. Keep in mind that our reservation was at 1:30pm, so 20 minutes with no food (not even bread) seems like an eternity especially for the toddlers. Once the waiter came back, we got our lunch orders in and some bread which my kids devoured, and the food came out as expected. I'm not sure what the issue with the servers situation, the waiter seemed nice enough when he took our orders. Anyways, the brunch was fine--I liked the chicken and waffle, my wife liked her salad, and my kids loved their pancakes and cinnamon bread. It'll be hard to convince my family to go back to Passionfish in the near future, though, as we're the type that likes to be punctual and expects the same type of service when we eat out.

We love the ceviche and the free crostini with fish pate so we were disappointed to find that they do not have the crostini/fish pate at Sunday brunch. The rolls were not as good. Too sweet. We also were told that they have substituted rolls (albeit without the sugar) for crostini during the week. Bring back the crostini with fish pate, please!!! The ceviche was excellent as usual, and our main courses were good.

We thought we had reserved for lunch on the last day of Restaurant Week (Aug 20.) Although we frequent PassionFish fairly often for dinner and/or Happy Hour, we thought it would be fun to have a $22 lunch during the prix fixe special price period. On arrival, we learned that they had ceased their own Restaurant Week on Friday--which I bet really surprised many other patrons--besides ourselves--as we'd made our reservation through the Restaurant Week site. Regardless, when we saw the extensive and imaginative standard brunch menu (including $2 Bloody Marys, e.g.) we cheered up and dove right into choosing an appetizer and an entree for $19 per person. Quite reasonable! Plus Yanka, our great server, pointed out that we could also have chosen two appetizers or we could have had an entree and a dessert, at $19 as well. We Will be going back for brunch with friends in Reston and in Bethesda.
