This was our first time to Passion Fish. Our waiter was pretty distracted and seemed to forget about us often. The 50% off a bottle of wine on Sundays is nice but the food wasn't anything to write home about. It was OK but not great. For the quality/quantity, it was definitely overpriced. I was disappointed in the scallops I ordered - a relatively small portion and teeny tiny bay scallops for in the $30s (don't remember the exact price). I'm not super inclined to give it another shot and would look to Jackson's or Coopers Hawk before opting to come back to Passion Fish next time out.
The food was excellent as was the service. The servings were very large - had to get a doggy bag. We would eat there more often were it not for the parking fiasco.
Sushi was great!
We had a great time celebrating our anniversary at Passion Fish. We also had the best server and I'm kicking myself for not remembering his name! We will be back!
Our experience was typical of those in the Passion Food group: great service, consistently excellent food, and a delightful ambience. At PassionFish the seafood is impeccably fresh, specialities like the gumbo are true to their roots, and service is professional and attentive, and the group’s careful management is obvious.
I was very disappointed this time. I have had good experiences in the past, but the Lobster and butternut soup was bland and the Cioppino was not great and didn't have much seafood or variety. The shrimp in it was not great either.
PassionFish is always my first go to for a business lunch in the Reston Town Center.
Always a great meal and atmosphere. One of the best in the Reston, VA area.
Continues to be the best, most consistent restaurant in Reston.
Superb, well-trained wait staff. - a rarity these days.
Also rare, a restaurant that is quiet enough to actually have a normal conversation with your table mates.
Great seafood restaurant! Probably, one of the best seafood restaurant in the area!
Passionfish shines in a bright corner of Reston Town Center...quality, variety and consistency...there's a formula to survive the parking experiment gone awry.
Passionfish is my favorite restaurant in the Reston area. Their gumbo is excellent from the special presentation in a lovely cast iron "skillet dish" through the wonderful blend of flavors in the rue with generous, large pieces of fresh seafood. I used to live in New Orleans and Passionfish gumbo equals any I ever had down there. The wine list is excellent. The atmosphere is delightful with white linen tablecloths everywhere, lots of space between tables, and surroundings that permit quiet conversation. The restaurant can be full/busy but it always feels relaxed and a wonderful place to have an intimate conversation with a special person or small group over great food. No rushing diners to hurry and vacate the table for the next customer at this fine restaurant.
The service is top drawer, ...attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable. They know how to provide a great dining experience.
Gerard is first rate.
Passionfish is always a must whenever I visit the Reston area.
Enjoyed outstanding birthday dinner celebration with my wife. Experienced exceptional service from our server Gerard B. Enjoyed delicious food.
Passionfish Reston is is our go to restaurant for a fish on a special night out. As always the food was delicious and the service outstandint.
Excellent food, service by our waiter Kenny was fabulous! I was very specific about being seated away from the bar and noisy areas in my online reservation.
After getting there, the hostess seated us right in the middle of the bullpen which was terrible -- too many people and noisy. However, I asked to be moved and they complied. Just wish my request for a special location had been actually read as this was a 28 year anniversary and I should not have had to point this out to the hostess since I was very specific in my reservation notes. Lastly, busboys worked hard and were very professional.
I was told Salmon would be prepared medium rare at recommendation of chef - it came out well-done. A side dish came out when we were done eating. It took a long time to clear the table. Been coming here for 8 years and it’s going down progressively over the last 3-4 years. Sad. It’s an RTC icon that is getting left behind.
Gracious, accommodating and friendly staff (from front hostess to wait staff to bar), enjoyable meal.
Food was fantastic, 10/10. Service was even better. Looking forward to our second visit.
Excellent Seafood and Service. I wanted a quiet Dinner to spend time with my Son who was visiting Washington D.C. on Business.
He travels a lot and loves good restaurant. This was a perfect choice. Service and food were excellent. No rush to leave.
I go to Reston often and Passion Fish is my favorite Restaurant.
I have been to Passion Fish many times for business and personal outings. The service and food have always been impeccable. Love the sushi and desserts! Highly recommend Passion Fish go any occasion!
I ordered the Merlusa which turned out to be Hake (same thing, fancy name) and the portion was small. Otherwise real good. Thanks
Very friendly atmosphere from the moment walk in. The overall ambiance was quite remarkable and comfortable. The menu was creative and was difficult to choose just one thing. I look forward to going back again.
Food and service were great. Waiter was perfect and very accommodating. Brunch is very valuable
Had eaten here before several times before and it was very good. I don’t know if they changed cooks but it was terrible very bland crab cakes and seafood stew was not fresh either. Won’t be going again considering bland food and prices.
Our meal was very good. All the dishes were fresh and nicely presented. We started with fried clams, which were nice and crispy and not at all greasy. Others had the crab and shrimp spring rolls, which were small and did not taste overtly of crab or shrimp, but they were good. The mains were very nice. A special of cod was perfectly cooked. Our friend had special dietary restrictions, and the kitchen had no problem preparing the special item. Our service was fine, not overly intrusive. The one issue I had was that the area of the restaurant where we were seated, which was in the back with the lower ceiling, had a fishy smell. When we first sat down it was quite pronounced, but the longer we were there, it became less of an issue. The meal overall was very good.
Great Food, Service, and Ambiance. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys seafood!
Gerard- our server- was wonderful- for some of my guests it was their first time at PF- they were blown away by the flavors and freshness of the seafood. Always a pleasure!
One of my favorite go to restaurants never disappointed. Outstanding seafood options.
As always, a good experience. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Restaurant week prices are very good.
Passionfish is one of our favorite restaurants in Reston Town Center. The food and service has always been good and although it was very busy it was not overly loud. Perfect!!
