I've lost track how many times of eaten here. It is a neighborhood gem. Food was pretty good. My red snapper was out of this world, which I seldom get. Unfortunately, my wife got the Louisiana crab cakes, & they had an odd consistency to them. I'm not sure it's related to the season, but certainly unlike anything we've experienced previously. My only other quibble was our server. While they were very, very good, they appeared to be rushing us, which is odd for a Sunday night. Meals are meant to be enjoyed, not a race.

Brunch was over the top great. $19 for two wonderful courses (get the seafood crepe)
$2 Bloody Mary and mimosas! Our server was also great!

The service was great, the food not so much. The sushi was the best part of the meal.
The full founder was dry and not really ever represented as a WHOLE fish bones and all.

Having been going to passion fish for years. Recently stopped because service went down and actually walked out once because we sat for 40 minutes got a beer and a salad. This was after speaking with the manager telling him if I got back from the rest room and there was no food my husband and I were leaving .
So I tried lunch recently and all went well not sure if they have New management but I will still shy away from dinner at this point.

all dishes we had were lacking salt...big time, I didn't say much because it was my mothers birthday...a $42 dollar thai curry lobster that wasn't worth it. i had the cioppino that really had zero flavor, it was like tomato puree and unseasoned steamed seafood. The chef needs to do some retraining with the cooks in the seasoning department. Thai curry needs help with presentation. Cioppino looked great, Gumbo looked great, also lacking flavor. The crab bisque....campbells??

The service however was spectacular. Our server was a lady with short cut hair, she was attentive and polite and didn't forget that it was my moms birthday, but lets be honest we are coming to eat....and the food was bleh, and it was a $200 bill. I was extremely disappointing as this seems to be a hip spot in reston being in the corner. I don't care about paying good money for good food, I am a chef of 10 years and to say the least, i know when something is underseasoned. sorry this review couldnt have been better.

We have dined at PassionFish May times over the years. Most of the time it has been quite good with service to match. This is the first time we have dined there, however, on New Years Eve. For starters we were seated by a window and ate much of the meal in our coats, though other tables sat vacant. The prices had been dramatically increased for NYE, with the only “free” addition a small amuse bouche. The soup was use warm. Three of the fish dishes I tried to order were sold out. The entree I settled for was boring and bone-riddled, though they had filleted it. The chocolate bombe was correctly described - a bomb. While we ate our dessert they were vacuuming. At midnight there were only 6 people left. No celebratory champagne was offered, no hats, noise-makers, etc. our last visit!

Had fabulous New Years Eve dinner with friends. Prix Fixe menu was great and numerous choices. The Amuse Bouche was an amazing little egg custard in the shell with a bacon strip. I had the kamikaze roll for my app and then my all-time favorite entree of red curry clay pot lobster. So delicious! Slightly spicy and beautifully offset with the chunks of pinesppe. Dessert was the chocolate bomb. Beautiful meal. Service was excellent and didn’t feel rushed despite the special occasion. Thank you!!!

In a word - superb! Passion Fish is one of our very favorite restaurants, and it never disappoints. Despite it being one of the busiest evening of the year - and being practically FULL - the service was excellent, the wine recommendation was right on, and the waiter was just the right balance of friendly and attentive, vs. giving us time to enjoy a special evening together. And the food was perfect! Delicious - as always - beautifully presented, and just the right temperature! Value doesn't get any better than this!

I went there with my wife and three grandchildren. There was something to eat for all of them as one is a picky eater. We had great service, timely delivery of the courses and no problems working with our waiter. We have eaten here before and the food and service are always top notch. I recommend it anyone wanting a great seafood dinning experience.

Unfortunate visit (we have been many times). Ordered the Halibut special, but it was very mediocre. Fish was overcooked (which is difficult since Halibut is very easy to cook). The fish was dry from overcooking and covered in breadcrumbs which made things worse. I asked that the spinach be just lightly cooked and was told that since it was the special it couldn't be adjusted. As a result I was served overcooked spinach (just like mom used to make unfortunately).

Unfortunately, we had an unusual bad meal during our visit to the restaurant. Fortunately, the manager and general manager stepped up to the plate with a sincere apology. They definitely made a good out of a bad. We will continue to return to the restaurant.

Passionfish never disappoints, however when our guests arrived the booth that was requested was just too small for them to be comfortable dining. We were moved to a table and had a very nice experience (as always). However, when asking the server how the specialty cocktail tasted, she replied "I don't know...I don't drink" which I found to be a very odd response from a server.

Our Server Rob on every aspect of phenomenal wait service, did it & did it well from start to finish.

The menu is extensive in offering both Asian Fusion & Seafood dishes...Raw Bar, Caviar, Sushi, Cold & Hot Appetizers, Salads/Soups, Chef Specials & the Fresh Catch that changes daily.

Our entrees were from the Fresh Catch section having the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes & the Mahi-Mahi, decent proportions & we were satisfied.

Validation available if you park in the Orange Garage on Explorer Street, in which we found out after parking on the street (metered) & walking into the restaurant.

An upscale environment with harmonious decor & a warm ambience nestled in the heart of Reston Town Center.

I love Passion Fish! Yesterday I visited the Reston location and without me even telling them they knew my rewards number and gave me my points. I was shocked they knew me. Servers here are pros. Food is delicious, always! I can't say enough good things. Tonight I visited the bar with my husband for their happy hour. Wow! Amazing value. Food was great. We will be back!
