Upscale but not over the top dining room. Good food, decent wine list. Everyone was friendly except our primary server who was intrusive and acted as though we were an inconvenience; but that's bound to happen occasionally and not a reason to avoid Passion Fish.

Oscar G. (our server) was outstanding! My wife has a shellfish allergy and very careful attention was paid to avoiding contamination. Suspect menu items were flagged to avoid any accidental exposure. Thank you.

Sushi was only average. Very little calamari in the appetizer, although it what was there was tasty.

Arrived at 4:55 for a 5:00 reservation. Restaurant was empty except for bar. Had to wait until 5:00 to be seated. Of all the empty tables we were set right on the isle - not very intimate. Calamari was buried in a salad type dressing ad fried in a thick crunchy crust - no calamari taste.
Gumbo was nt seasoned well but did have a lot of oysters in it. Desert was cold in parts and luke warm in others.

We had an early Saturday dinner. We were 4. Matt was an EXCELLANT waiter. He was warm, thoughtful, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was very good. There were many appreciated gestures. When we left the table, we came back to a folded napkin. Splitting a draft was not a problem and delivered in two glasses. We were not rushed. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all very delicious.

The noise level makes it impossible to have a conversation. There were only 4 of us at the table, but I could not hear what the person across from me was saying. The food was fine but heavy if you like that kind of thing. The happy hour option looked appealing to me though. One of the few places that have a happy hour on Saturday and Sunday. So I may come back for a quick bite.

I had lunch with a friend during the week. The service was attentive and the food was really good. The atmosphere is modern and upscale. I highly recommend this restaurant and is one of the best options at the Reston Town Center.

We went for Easter Brunch. The food was not as exciting as it usually is (the happy hour menue is wonderful!) and the service could not have been any slower. I know there were more people than usual, but it's a resteraunt. They should know how to deal with the influx. We were very dissapointed all around this trip.

Mezzanine seating is the best - lower noise levels. The New Brunswick oysters were perfectly opened and served.

I had the Eggs Bar Harbor [Eggs Benedict with lobster]. The eggs were perfectly poached and the lobster meat was fresh and bright.

Date night with my husband, and we finally got around to trying out PassionFish. The mahi mahi special was fabulous, and the service very attentive. Great wine menu with several good lower cost options.

I took my wife here for her birthday and we both enjoyed our meals. I had grilled swordfish with mac and cheese and my wife had the calamari and the crunchy roll. The service was great and the noise did not overwhelm our conversation.

As we came in, the bar area was vibrant and nearly full. A sign of a good happy hour. We were given a great corner bench and the waiter was prompt. We had the calamari and it was tasty and a nice portion. We ordered the trout and branzino entrées. Both were good but thex teout had less flavor than the branzino. There is such a selection of seafood that it was hard to choose. The waiter was good about letting us sample wine and then we asked for something with less tannin. We found a good merlot that complemented the meals. I enjoyed the vibe and would come again.

We had not been to PassionFish in over a year, but had had very positive past experiences there. Was disappointed to find overall quality had dropped markedly, with many dishes (party of five sharing) tasting mass-produced and homogenized. Whole fish entrees were overcooked. Best dishes were vegetable sides.

Excellent sushi - really good
Service was fine though we could not understand our server - very very thick accent and we were too embarrassed to ask her to repeat herself. That part made the dinner a little awkward, but we are always happy to have mixed ethnicities and cultures in our day-to-day lives, so next time we will just have to be braver and be comfortable asking her to speak up and to repeat herself!
Overall a fine evening! Thanks Passion Fish!

Really an amazing menu - PassionFish has a full sushi menu with the offerings if a high quality seafood restaurant as well. I had sushi and sashimi, which was absolutely some if the best I've ever had anywhere. My mom, whom I dined with, had the special bento box meal for only $18 (lunch portion) and included a yummy, rich chocolate dessert. We also had raw oysters wwhichwere extremely fresh tasting. The lunch portions were very affordable and I love the fact that they have all things seafood while not being either an "Asian" restaurant or a traditional "seafood" restaurant. Also, they have half bottles of wine, perfect for two people to have at lunch. I would love to come back and try more of what they offer. It was also very comfortable decor and not too loud, music or background noise wise.

We are return customers to PF, going there when a special occasion (this time, my wife's b-day) warrant the bill. This time, the service was great, as always. I ordered the gumbo which was too much of a pretty good thing, actually, but that was a fault of my choice. The place can be a little loud, but not bad. My wife and daughter both got excellent dishes.

We have been there frequently and until now have always found it to be exceptionally good, but this time we were greatly disappointed by inattentive service that made dinner painful. We will be back to see if this time was merely a fluke, and sure hope that next time it will be up to its usual exceptional standards!!

We really enjoy Passion Fish above all the other high end options in Reston. It is relatively quiet and great for business meals, special occasions, and romance. They cook fish superbly. No one makes better simply grilled salmon. Unique fish entrees as well. Great sushi, great cocktails and after dinner aperitifs too! Try it, you will love it!
