Good food, slow service, orders were wrong, but nice atmosphere.
Service was ok, not great. Food was good, but restaurant has lost it edge since opening - needs improvement. Would recommend to a friend, but with caveats.
Early dinner at Passionfish consisting of oysters, sashimi, and 3 glasses of extremely good Red Zin picked by my very friendly, funny, and helpful bartender. Comfortable seating that makes you feel like you are part of the bar. Friendly helpful staff. Great food. Go here. Right now.
Best brunch in Northern Virginia.
My boyfriend and I came to Passionfish for our 2 year anniversary. I loved the atmosphere, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. The table was set beautifully all candle lit. The food was amazing. I would recommend the butternut squash soup & the sushi with the fried lobster. The dessert was amazing too. I would recommend getting the donuts with the coffee dip and the key lime tart. It was by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time.
Delicious food, nice ambience, and great service!
We visited PassionFish in 2018 whilst on a business trip and had a great time/really enjoyed the food and drinks. It made it the obvious choice when we visited in Jan 2019.
Sushi was dry as if it had been sitting out for a while. No real greens to chose from. Really has gone down hill in quality
The servers just don’t care about the service. The food has gone down hill. Very sad to see and experience. There is nothing special about this place anymore.
Maria was excellent waiter; knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Food was prepared well and tasty. Great dining experience.
First time eating there for me, my husband had been there a couple of times. It was a fixed price New Year's Eve menu, which was fine. The service started out good and gradually declined to just okay. The place was busy, but not horribly so. But the noise level was completely unbearable, and as good as the food was, I probably won't go back.
Too noisy, food was good, but over priced. Had better fish at the Bonefish Grill. Service was okay, not really on the spot for the price.
Confident about how we would be treated, we made a reservation for a special anniversary (although they've all been special). We were not disappointed. Service (Robert) was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, not intrusive. My oysters were great, as was my trout. My wife enjoyed her salmon and her Brussels sprouts. We wanted a delightful evening and Passion Fish provided it.
The brunch is a must! Great value and delicious!!!
Waitress was attentive.
Fish was excellent, especially the oysters.
another great evening at passion Fish, great waiter and good value....highly recommend for date night or going out with friends for dinner....
Viviana was great
Great seafood, all 4 dishes were spot on! Very nice service and an exciting interior space. Our favorite restaurant to go to in Reston.
Great Service. Good food.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal to celebrate our daughter's 36th birthday! She chose the place as it is one of her favorites. The grouper special was nothing special my husband said, but he cleaned his plate. My whole fried flounder was perfect as was the assorted sashimi. Our daughter said the scallops were underwhelming but she had always wanted to try them. The spirits and wine were great! The service from Oscar and Jack was top-notch!
The fish I wanted had run out. The food was well presented but too salty, could not eat it. Not worth the price we paid for a Christmas Eve dinner.
Food was amazing, service impeccable. The only disappointment was where they seated us, jammed at the very rear of the restaurant next to a group of very loud drunk patrons. My kids had never been to PF so they were not impressed with the atmosphere. Plus, son is completely deaf in one ear so it was difficult for him to hear above the noise.
Very nice restaurant, showed up during one of their busiest hours and was seated almost instantly. Waitress was a little inexperienced but was very polite.
Food was great. Our server was excellent.
Seafood is always exquisitely delicious 👍👍
The waitress was scowling and a bit unfriendly. The food was fabulous, as always.
Food was superb not to mention the service. Worth every penny!
Great food and service. We will be back!
This was my first visit to this restaurant and it won't be my last. It was a wonderful experience. I was meeting a friend for dinner, it was raining, when we arrived we were greeted pleasantly and our coats and umbrellas were checked. We were seated quickly and our server was phenomenal. The food was EXCELLENT and for the restaurant to be packed almost to capacity it was very easy to converse with one another. I really enjoyed myself.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend this place.
Octopus was tender and flavorful.
We’ve been to PassionFish several times, and have always enjoyed it. This time was different. Food was mediocre (cioppino) to poor (fried oysters), and service while ok, was not consistent with the price point. Used to be pricey and worth it. Not this time.
Delicious food, perfect service. Definitely will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Sometimes you want to make a restaurant "your restaurant." My first PassionFish experience left me excited for my next PassionFish experience. The service was outstanding. Michelle went out of her way to personalize our somewhat demanding table of ten. She and her "Holiday Inn" loving assistant were attentive to the 5 year old, 85 year old, and all of us in between. Everyone left happy. PassionFish stands out for providing a scrumptious culinary experience (the crepes are still eliciting sighs of pleasure!) and an amazing, knowledgeable, approachable staff. I departed while already planning my return! Thanks for a fantastic birthday lunch!
Awesome experience.... completely made up for the horrible experience from Four Season's wit and wisdom restaurant.
thanks to the service... very polite and warm and personable.
It's an OK place, but rather pricey considering there's not "special" about the food when compared to other seafood restaurants in the area. For my money, I'd rather go to McCormick's next time. They have a bigger space, more comfortable seating and better prices / portions. The booths at Passion Fish are tiny and made for very thin people only. The presentation of the food is mediocre, at best, and the flavors are nothing spectacular. The service was excellent, but if had to pay for Reston parking, I definitely wouldn't return. If I was in the area for something else and friends wants to grab a drink and some appetizers, I'd do it, but probably not going back for a meal again anytime soon.
Wonderful client lunch, always a go-to spot for business lunches.
Had the bronzino which came with the head and the bones - Had I known it wasn't fileted I wouldnot have ordered it. Way overpriced for the amount of fish after you de-bone it..
