great night!
Good, if slightly pricey, food. Fine location, and a menu that made me want to return soon. Jeff Tunks remains a star in the DC dining firmament!
Wonderful meal! I love great seafood prepared by chefs that care deeply about fresh fish and exciting, inventive flavor combinations. You nailed it guys!
We reserved a table for two in advance. When we got there, we were directed to a table for 4, even though there were few tables for 2 available. I asked to be seated at one of those tables, but was told that those tables are reserved. I told the asian looking lady with a pony tail that we made a reservation in advance and would like a table for two. She was rude and disrespectful. She disregarded my wish and sit us at the table for 4! The worst thing is was her attitude. She forgot she was at work and we were paying customers. Disappointed.
Always delicious!!
The food was superb, and the service was both welcoming and professional. We need to go there more often!
My coworkers and I went for lunch and the food was Great! I didn’t get the waiters name but he provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu! I will definitely be back. If your in the area, check out PassionFish, you won’t be disappointed!
I always know Passion Fish is great.
Fancy large place located in Reston Town Center. Plenty of parking in garages, sometimes a fee is charged. So many seafood options, very nice displays of the seafood on ice. Was offered many lobster dinner options. One chef makes sushi, sushi tasted very good. Impressive restaurant.
I love the brunch at passion Fish. The food is amazing at a great value.
My wife & I have been coming to Passion Fish every year on our anniversary since they opened as well as a few other special occasions & i'd have to say if I've ever eaten in a better restaurant I don't remember. weather it's sushi-mi, sea bass or oysters, regardless of what you order the food & service here are consistently 1st rate. But I'd have to say my personal favorite however are the crab cakes... They are unbelievably good & that's coming from a crab cake snob who grew up in Baltimore Md. I'm always a little apprehensive they won't be quite as good whenever I come back but I've not been disappointed yet.

Passion Fish is my “go to” restaurant in the Reston area. Love the imaginative menu, fresh fish, consistent quality and excellent service!
Service was excellent.
I haven't been to Passion Fish for quite some time. My last experience was a bit disappointing for the cost. However, last Saturday we were very pleased. The menu retains some old favorites like the dynamite sushi roll. A new entre, Kung Pao Ahi Tuna, was outstanding. The other guests in our party also thought the restaurant had improved and gotten back to its roots. It definitely worth a visit!
The service was less than stellar which is unusual. Our food was good and although we requested that each plate be brought out separately, two plates came out at once. It worked out well, so not an issue, but it wasn’t what we requested. Our sushi rolls were fabulous as always. The corn and crab soup was the perfect warm up. I’d skip the crab spring rolls next time.
Food was not good. My friend said the crab cocktail recommended as their best appetizer was tasteless and the texture seemed like it had been frozen. My scallops were cooked well but the taste was completely overpowered by the sauce. Oysters were good. Waiter had this odd super-salesy vibe that was more annoying than anything. Wine was good, decor is very nice.
Jim was excellent waiter
Halibut and sea bass delicious
Donut holes a fav
Good but has been better in the past. Crab left much to be desired! Still, if you choose wisely, the food can be excellent. Price is high however and the place can be so loud that it’s difficult to carry a conversation without shouting.
Very loud. Food and service were excellent.
As usual the service and food was very good. Wish they had more of selection of wine by glass.
Fresh seafood and interesting preparations. Some interesting cocktail options as well.
We had an overnight layover at Dulles and were looking for a convenient and nice place for supper. We found Passionfish on Open Table and we had a very nice dinner! Great service, large menu with a lot of appealing options and the food was very good! We would definitely go back! So glad we tried it.
Waitres was nice but forgetful , didn’t write our order down so it came out wrong twice :( but she was very nice
Was really good... Enjoyed my meal and they have great service
Great area and location for the DC/Virginia crowd. The parking was close and free after 5:00 pm. The restaurant has modern décor and was obviously very popular. The purpose was an early business dinner. The spacing of the tables was very good to hold discussion but unfortunately the noise level became very high into our meal and discussion. That being said, the service was excellent and the food was very good. The menu had a variety of choices for style and flavor and the pricing was reasonable. I would recommend for entertaining friends and celebrations. It would be an acceptable date location but I would not consider it romantic.
The food and service is always amazing at this location. I love their Peruvian inspired ceviche and their brunch offerings.
First time visiting PassionFish and was amazed. Perfect service and amazing quality food. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something different than a typical chain. The appetizers, sushi and main courses were large. Make sure to go hungry.
My son arrived late from CO for a job interview. We had 9:45pm dinner reservations. Sooo quiet and a very attentive wait staff! Rolls warm, char grilled octopus in a Harissa Hummus with chick peas- yumm and my son had the lobster bisque. Atlantic char was grilled to perfection and hot!! Perception on the haricot verde. My son had seafood gumbo. Desserts sounded great but we were too full! Perfect pre interview meal!!
Great food and service.
Fantastic as always.
The food was excellent, The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond. Was extremely happy with Passion Fish and highly reccommend for any special occasion.
$44.00 for Lobster and pineapple in Thai curry was overpriced.
We had an amazing meal and amazing service as we celebrated our 28 yr Wedding Anniversary. Eduardo the Manager was terrific and our server was great!!!!
We had a great meal, Rue our server was awesome. We enjoyed our evening
Very nice atmosphere and great service but food was unimpressive. Sashimi was gigantic chunks that were still frozen. Shrimp dish for kids was super salty. Octopus combo with BBQ sauce was strange.
Seems like a fun place for happy hour but proper birthday dining it was not.
Again service and decor I could give up to 5 stars but would need a palate makeover.
Have been there a few times in the past - went there with two friends recently to celebrate birthdays for two of us. We had an awesome waiter that was very knowledgeable in helping us decided what to order. The special he suggested was delicious and it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
Great food, wonderful service and a nice relaxed vibe. Passion Fish was fantastic. Our waiter " Matt " was very conversant with the menu and recommended several dishes which were all superb. We particularly enjoyed the Toro Tuna served sashimi style. I was also pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive nature of the resident wine list which reflects perfect pairing with the high quality and super fresh seafood.
What an amazing time I spent there with my fiancee. The staff was very attentive and sweet. The food was delicious, the vibe was nice. Will make this place to go for special occasions. Kudos to the staff you really stand out from the rest.
As wonderful as ever. Having dined at some of the finest restaurants in NYC, LA, DC, NOLA, etc, I’ve never found better!
Womderful experience. We were celebrating our Anniversary and everyone made it so special. Lots of nice touches, including a little menu to take with us as a keepsake.
