An excellent brunch experience at an excellent value.
Dependable Fish place, with meat alternatives. Great for a week-end brunch. I like their Bloody Mary.
Food was excellent, server took at least 10 minutes to come to table with menus and couldn’t find her if we needed a drink or add something else to our order. Hopefully we get someone different next time.
I was a bit disappointed with this place. The salmon listed on the fresh catch of the day tasted like Costco salmon (which tastes great, but I would expect more from a seafood restaurant). Also the waiter was ready to kick us out at the end of the evening and took the little candle from the candle holder to get us to leave, even though the restaurant still had plenty of guests around the bar. It all felt a bit odd but to me.
Nice modern fish restaurant.
Good blackened fish po boy sw.
The menu and prices of a "foodie" establishment, but not the cuisine. Serviceable seafood in a great location, but not well-executed enough to warrant paying those prices.
Food was just ok. The service was very dissapointing. The waiter kept rushing everything. Had an attitude, like he was doing us a favor by serving us! This is the second time I had a bad experience with the server here. I would think twice about eating there again.
Very good $19 brunch.
Great server, EMILY, was a delight! Food was exceptional!
The manager was very kind in extending Happy Hour to our table because we had a diner who had a disability and couldn't sit at the bar. Thank you
Our waiter was EXCELLENT! He was very attentive in every way.
This was our 3rd time here. The first 2 times were great. But this was because the restaurant just opened. The food was ok. The Kung Pao Calamari was soggy not crispy and smelled/tasted fishy, Good seafood shouldn't!!! Probably won't be back for a while.
They have a great brunch menu and good service. However we were recently seated right next to the restrooms even though there were dozens of empty tables that would not have been restroom adjacent. And there was no hallway between our table and the restrooms. Thankfully the restaurant was so empty only a handful of people used the restroom during our brunch. I've been to Sunday brunch may times, I believe always without a reservation before now. This recent trip made me feel as though Passion Fish was trying to tell me they would not like me to come back if I was going to use opentable to book the table. Duly noted.
Great! Mary is a world class server!
We chose Passionfish for my first meal away from hospital) in 2 months. We are glad we chose it. Access into the restaurant was easy (on a walker - all flat). The restaurant was moderately busy and yet it still had plenty of ambience. We loved the freshness of the food, the beet salad and zingy fish tacos were delicious. My fiancé enjoyed his chowder and smoked fish hash very much too.
My husband and I had brunch at PassionFish yesterday and took advantage of the phenomenal specials & pricing. All of our food was fantastic, the service was lovely, and I think 2 courses each, plus cocktails, coffee, and bread all rang it at $60. Can't beat it! Order the eggs Chesapeake.
My only complaint was that my husband found a small piece of styrofoam in his ceviche. He is too nice to complain, and everything was so fantastic, but it was pretty gross.
Third time at this restaurant. Food and service was excellent. Celebrated a birthday. Their special birthday touches were great. Would definitely return.
Great birthday brunch
The food was delicious..especially the lobster soup and seafood crepe...I also love the happy hour pricing and food options.
Food was good, service was great!
Always reliable food and service. Terrific martini. Will definitely return.
Awful experience. Andrea might be the worst server I’ve had in any restaurant in my life. We usually love coming here but the service, combined with an off day for the food, will likely result in us not returning.
Four people , we ordered sushi was average, octopus appetizer excellent, Bronzino was good but not very good, the most disappointing was the mussels which were dry and had absolutely no broth in the bottom for bread dipping and should be delicious. Drinks were good, good wine choices. spent 460$ but would have to say not really worth it.
We always love the five and the food, but the service is not always the best
Usually food is good but this last visit, which will probably be my last, was not good. I ordered the Crab Cake dinner with a small salad. It was taking longer than expected so they brought us soup while we waited which was nice. However, once my crab cakes arrived, they tasted stale, overcooked, like they had been sitting out for a while. Didn't taste fresh like they were just baked/grilled/fried however they are prepared.
I only ate half of one crab cake and threw away the other cake. The best meal of the night was the bread served at the table which is SAD.
Not sure if there were problems in the kitchen or a new chef or no chef, but i just wasted $38 on Saturday night.
It was awesome. We had a great time.
The waitress was amazing, I had a question about some of the wines and our waitress let me taste several types so I could pick the right one. I then asked about the caviar and the manager came and explained everything to us with the actual tins on a ice tray.
The food was amazing. You have to try the bread, the carrot ginger lobster soup and the oysters.
Table was pretty small and stuck out in the aisle. But food and service excellent.
We enjoy the food and service. The degree of attentiveness was just right for us. They are a very popular happy hour location.
In a word, our experience at Passion Fish-Bethesda was outstanding. The food was delicious and our server, David C., was attentive, personable and made some very helpful suggestions. These encouraged both my granddaughter and me to try some new food items and sauces, We were both delighted with his recommendations. I had the arctic char (one of my favorite fish) and my granddaughter had sushi. We loved our dinners. For dessert, we shared the chocolate bomb. I liked it but she said it was too rich for her taste. So, I ordered the doughnuts for her, of which she ate one, which she enjoyed very much, and took the rest home to share with her younger sister. We have been to Passion Fish in Bethesda many times and never, ever been disappointed. I recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys very well prepared and presented fish and seafood.
We were pleasantly overwhelmed by the quality of the food and the attentive service. It was a milestone birthday and the celebrant was very excited to see her name on the menu- she had NEVER seen anything like it- Thank you so much for making it a very special meal for her!
Dining here was a great pleasure! Everything and everyone was simply excellent. I highly recommend Passion Fish for a fantastic dining experience!
Noise level too high. Portions small in relation to price. Service slow but friendly.
Our server (I believe his name was Dominique) was awesome!! The flounder dish never disappoints.
Too loud; waiters too aggressive at first... didn’t understand that we were “dining” not a fast food restaurant.
I think they were “taught” that ..HOWEVER... it was annoying to feel so rushed
Attentive, informed waiter. Food was delicious and served attractively. Can recommend the soups, beet salad and sushi. Good cappucinos - dessert menu looks great but didn't try this time. Main courses all sound wonderful but were more than I meant to spend. Heard that the Happy hour snacks are great and great value. Will return!
Great food and service. Noise level extreme.
Met friends for brunch. Attractive restaurant. Had Caesar salad with anchovy-like fish. Salad was good, didn’t like the fish. Salmon hash had somewhat off putting taste I did not enjoy. Good place to catch up with friends. Would do lunch or dinner there but for me not the brunch.
This was the first time for Sunday Brunch, but it won't be the last. Excellent choices and reasonable price. Plus, only $5 for a speciality cocktail if you order the 2 course brunch.
The yummy rolls, slightly sweet with a delicious sweet butter are every bit as good as the same role served at other times, savory with fish pate. Always enjoy other meals here.
Waiter, food, & service were superb! My wife, who is an excellent cook, is hard to please at restaurants. Even she was pleased 100%!
