It was my first experience in a Michelin star restaurant and will never regret it. It was awesome and totally different from any other dinner date I enjoyed. The service was impressive, as we had a waiter for each of us two, and very attentive to our needs. They were very friendly and explained all the different plates and different food we were going to taste. Totally awesome... and looking forward to have another Michelin experience soon. I will definitely share it with my friends and family.

Food was outstanding and creative

There is a dress code, must have pants and shoes.

Staff was kind enough to lend me a pair of pants so I could eat

Great example of the Emperor's New Clothes. Super pretentious and unfriendly staff. Mediocre food being served to a sparse group of diners. As one who has dined throughout the world, I count this as one of the most disappointing experiences ever. One of the wines was definitely corked but the server disagreed with me. Apparently the chef has an obsession with foam which I suppose he was hoping would compensate for poor preparation.

What can I say bad about this place? Nothing. Passion was by far the most dramatic and delicious meal I have ever had, and I have had many incredible meals. I walked in expecting an eight Michelin Star experience and that was exactly what I got. The Tasting Menu is recommended by the staff and I walked in wanting that already because what better way to experience everything the Chef wants you to. We were served 2 bonus dishes "Compliments of the Chef". If I can find pictures I will post them later. The flavor combinations were heavenly! I recommend spending more for the accompanying wine menu for the ultimate tasting. The only complaint or negative comment? Very simple and I can tell you how to avoid the issue... Take a car to the resort if you are not staying there. Walk in the front door. Paradisus is easy to walk up into from the beach during the day, but at night when we went in that way we were stopped in our tracks by security. They got the hotel manager and the Restaurant Manager to work the situation out for us. I admit I was afraid I would miss this opportunity. With that aside, it was every thing we wanted. Thank You to the wonderful staff.

The first time I visited Passion in Punta Cana was 5 years ago and was excellent, this time was even better!!
The service, the food and the ambiance was outstanding!!
The 7 course dinner is perfect because the portions are small but delicious.
Berasategui has maintained the quality of his food over the years and he deserves being among the best chefs in the world.
We enjoyed our dinner and our friends were delighted.

This restaurant DOES NOT accept open table reservations. This restaurant is at an all inclusive resort that you must make reservation through the resort. We were able to get a reservation a few days later after being disappointed that we did not have a reservation through open table.

Food was amazing and even being a big guy, I was stuffed at the end. There may have been a couple courses that shared similar accompaniments, but that didn't take away from the course at all.

My wife is not a fan of seafood and they adjusted her tasting menu to accommodate that.

Quite simply one of the best values for the caliber of restaurant there is that I've ever seen.

We decided to go to Passion for our Anniversary while in Punta Cana. Everything was so amazing! The service is impeccable. We had the wine pairing with tasting, and everything was delicious! We took a taxi to and from our hotel, as it was quite a ways away, but so worth every minute. Thank you so much for a memorable 20th Anniversary, and Valentines Day dinner!

Amazing service and an extensive and impressive wine list. Really enjoyed the little "extra" chef tasting dishes that we were given in addition to our a la carte menu orders. Overall a wonderful experience and we all agreed we'd go back next time we are in Punta Cana.

The food here was exceptional! My husband had the seven course tasting menu with the wine pairing and I ordered a starter entree and dessert. Every course was beautiful and delicious. Compared to similar places in the US, it was very reasonably priced. Highly recommended for a splurge in Punta Cana.

Everything from the moment we sat down until we walked out of the restaurant was absolutely perfect. We arrived early for our reservation and were quickly escorted to the bar next door for complementary drinks while they prepared our table. Soon after, we were taken to our table and provided with a complimentary appetizer.

We chose to do the tasting menu with wine pairings (I strongly encourage everyone to consider doing the same - it was impeccable). The restaurant provided white glove service with excellent and knowledgeable servers, and the sommelier personally brought out each wine and provided information on the vineyard and tasting notes. And obviously, the food was exquisite.

Dinner at Passion was far and away the best part of our honeymoon!

I UNDERSTOOD THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE BUT THE VALUE WAS ON THERE FOR AN ALL INCLUSIVE. I HAVE ENJOYED MUCH BETER FOOD AND VALUE IN SOME OF THE FINEST REST. IN LAS VEGAS. SERVICE WAS GREAT BUT THE REST. WAS VERY SLOW.

One of our best meals ever! Impeccable presentation, unique flavors, professional service and elegant ambiance. Single seating allowed for pleasant evening with no pressure to rush through. Tasting menu was 7 courses supplemented by 2 special appetizers and a treat at the end so really 10 servings. Wine pairing was amazing - Spanish wines. Cannot recommend highly enough and total was $110 USD for food and wine.

We were in Cap Cana at an all-inclusive resort, but decided to go off-property one evening to dine here. We live in Chicago and have no shortage of outstanding restaurants, but I have to say this experience was excellent. We did the prix fixe menu with the wine paring, which was $150 per person. There wasn't a single course my husband and I did not enjoy, and the wine parings were all very well done. I read on Trip Advisor that the restaurant could use an update, which I guess I could see if you were looking for an area to nitpick, but everything is meticulously maintained, the wait staff is very attentive, and the food is outstanding.

I booked a table at Passion for my 30th Birthday celebration. It was one of the best choices I made! They greeted my boyfriend and I when we arrived and showed us to a beautiful table next to a painting of a rose. It was beautiful. The service was extra special all night. They were attentive and extremely professional. The food was incredible. It was an experience! And they even brought out a big birthday cake and sang 'happy birthday' to me in Spanish. My experience here was nothing short of special and they made my 30th birthday an even better day. Thank you so much.

Food and service was terrific. This restaurant has two sets of prices. If you use Open Table, its $100 for the tasting menu and $50 for wine pairing. If you use the concierge (get harangued to attend vacation buying seminar), the price is $70 and $40 respectively. In fact there is two set of printed menus! Concierge couldn't get me a reservation, so I used Open Table.

Not the place you want to support with such price gouging tactics

We were on our Honeymoon and decided to leave our resort and celebrate with a Dominican Fine Dining experience. We couldn't be happier that we did! The food was amazing and it was paired well with the wine.

The staff was wonderful and were great at translating every plate in english as much as possible when served. The restaurant does have an English menu to order from as which I didn't expect, but was relieved to see.

We both did the tasting menu with wine pairings. We were there the first week of February and it was $100 USD per person for the tasting and an additional $50 USD for the wine pairing.

The food was good and the service was wonderful. One thing to realize is that if you are not staying at the hotel/resort where the restaurant is located, it is tricky to get to there. We almost gave up on our reservation. If traveling from another part of the island, possibly arranging a taxi to take you directly there would work, just make sure they will be able to get access as security into the resort is tight.

Definitely the best restaurant I've eaten at in the Dominican Republic. Considerably better than the #2 La Cava. Worth wasting one night's all inclusive cost to step out and have really good food. Two of us did the tasting menu with wine pairings for $150. A bargain compared to NY and Las Vegas prices, but just as good food and wine as $300+ meals. We both liked every course and all but one of the wine pairings. Very imaginative dishes with an amazing variety of tastes in each dish. Lots of foams. Some local fish and vegetables. Many South American wines, but some Spanish, French and American also. Not skimpy wine pours either. One person did the steak which he said one one of the best he has ever had. Everyone got two complimentary hors d'oeuvres. It took a lot of explaining in my mediocre Spanish to get us through the front gate, but once in we were treated well. Might be helpful to take a copy of your reservation. It is worth the trip to see the Paradisus Palmas Real lobby and courtyard. The waiters and sommelier spoke better English than most on the island and the sommelier was full of interesting facts on the wines. Definitely the highlight of a week in the R.D. and a very memorable experience.

An amazing dining experience with exceptional food and amazing eye for detail. Great knowledge of food, presentation and wine pairing. The only negative I have is that they do NOT allow you to give tip off of credit card. You must have cash in you. I think that is dumb seeing it is not stated anywhere and a lot of people do not carry that much cash these days. Unfortunately the waiters are the ones that don't get what they deserve as was the situation in our case. It's not right for them and I feel bad for them.
