Passero translates to “sparrow” in Italian, and like the sparrow this neighborhood eatery symbolizes joy, creativity and hard work. Passero serves as a reminder that busy hands and minds promote a happy and full life.
Lunch was fresh and fabulous!
Appetizer was good. My chicken parm was nothing special, in fact I thought the breading was think and over cooked.
Passaro is always excellent! The service is wonderful and the food amazing. Love this little gem.
It was perfect! The food gets better and better each time we go in. The service is always above and beyond.
I read some review about service being spotty, and the small space etc... but I have to say, my experience was great. The service was good, nothing stellar or amazing, but I was blown away by my pasta dish (Parpadelle)! I was expecting just another blah pasta like so many other Italian restaurants serve up, but this was cooked perfectly, the sauce was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Definitely worth a return trip.
Started with the whipped cheese appetizer and had the salmon and the carbonara. Everything was great!
Food and Service excellent.
I had the panzanella salad which was great. I added shrimp to it. It had just the right amount of dressing. The croutons were very hard & difficult to bite. My friend had the full breakfast which she loved. The noise level was too much. I had trouble hearing the conversation at my table.
Maybe it’s my fault for ordering steak at an Italian place. I’ve been here for lunch and it was Fabulous. My husband got the chicken parm and that was delicious as well. Steak was over cooked and tough and the Gorgonzola topping was overwhelming for me.
The space is small. Easy to check out the people and the other patrons orders. Our waitress Lauren was fun and attentive. The food is high quality and most of us had salmon sand halibut. A bigger space would really bust it out.
Great job done by all. Greeted quickly when we arrived by Mgr hosting, was sat quickly. Server approached our table with water. Service was smooth and friendly. Food was great, had calamari appetizer, well done and cooked perfectly. I had the halibut fish preparation and my wife had the chicken picatta. They were both prepared, well, bright flavors, good combinations on the plate. Passero is not your average Italian, but very updated, with menu choices and fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back, to try more items on the menu. Good job by all. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends and associates.
Overall a it was a great place with a hip atmosphere.
Food was very good. The roasted brussel and burrata salad was excellent.
The cauliflower was good too. The bowl of olives were neither warm or spicy. Calamari was soggy and quite bland.
.My friend loved her spritz. The Manhattan was not right. Weak and so very sweet. Our server was nice enough to take it off the bill. The martini I then ordered was icy and perfect. I’ll come back and give it another chance.
We live this place.
What a delightful dinner a real gem for a delicious meal. We both a had pasta dish . So good we two appetizers the whipped ricotta was so tasty I am still thinking about it. Can not wait to go back and try another dish.
Great little “dinner date” with my teenage daughter. Sat outside and enjoyed the ambience of downtown Arlington Heights on a beautiful summer evening. The food was on point - scampi for my daughter and a bunless cheeseburger with roasted brussels sprouts for me. The service was impeccable. I suppose if I had one request, it would be for a few more keto options (I know, I know) but otherwise — fantastic menu, fantastic service. The is the best restaurant in AH, in my opinion.
Amazing wine list. I go for the salmon or bucatini pomodoro and I love both. My husband and I do our once a month date night at Passero every month. It's a great spot for suburban parents who miss city life.
My one beef is that we sometimes get stuck at a table right by the kitchen door ... with no access to window views or the more attractive section in the back, which kind of detracts from some of the fun of being out, in my opinion.
From the moment we arrived at the hostess stand until we left the restuarant we felt like we were the most important guest of the night. Our food server was great and the food lived up to the hype we had heard previous to our visit. The GM came to our table and introduced herself early in our experience and then followed up when our food was served. Our server was attentive. The food did not disappoint. We will be returning to Passero again and again.
Love the food. Great atmosphere. Very nice staff.
We love bed it! Casual. Great food.
GREAT, GREAT place! Food amazing. Highly recommend. Space is on the small side so a little loud. Please find a larger location to spread your Fabulousness!
Everything was delicious but they were out of salmon when we got there o. A Thursday night at 6 pm
We love passero
Been there many times
Will probably return many times
what a gem in the neighborhood best chicken parm
This was my 3rd visit to Passero. I was not disappointed. The chopped salad is my favorite. This time we shared the garlic/cheese sour dough bread. Yummy! This was my first time trying that. My husband had the fish and loved it. Our other friends shared a chopped salad and a pasta dish and enjoyed theirs as well. I give Passero 5 stars. It is intimate and the food is delicious. I will be back!!
I always love going to this restaurant . It’s trendy and friendly and the food is always good!!
Dinner was fabulous and we can’t wait to return. Linda Janus
Amazing as always! The food was delicious and I cant wait to go back!
One of the more city-feeling suburban restaurant! Fantastic service.
Really enjoyed this restaurant. Everything we ate was fantastic. The restaurant was loud so we sat outside. Will definitely go back.
The food and service was great! The place is adorable!
It was good. I'd like to go back to try a few more things.
The food was great as usual and the service was also wonderful. We are looking forward to Passero moving to a larger space! The seating in this place is the only downfall but it is a big one. You would not want to dine here with a party larger than 4. Tables and chairs are small and space is tight. That being said the food is delicious!!!
Top Notch customer service tonight! Date night dinner with my 4 year old and every employee took the time to have a quick conversation with her which she is still talking about hours later! The food is always exceptional, we will continue to tell all of our friends and neighbors about this spot!
The wait staff was very charming. The cocktails were expensive and to make it worse, a very short pour.
The bread appetizer, for $12.00, was delicious however $12.00 for a caesar salad without anchovies was a total rip off.
They discourage BYO by charging $25.00 for corkage.......again not customer friendly. The noise level made it difficult to hear ourselves talk.
There was wide variety of entrees but while the chicken parm was bountiful it was average tastewise.
Love Passero! My favorite restaurant in the suburbs for sure. Consistently great food, service, and atmosphere.
Loved everything about it! Needs to be bigger & maybe less noisy
Second time at this restaurant and we loved it again. Menu is creative, presentation very appealing and the food was delicious. And... great service. Going back Saturday!
Consistent food and service. Tables are small but nice ambiance
