   Coming into this beautiful boutique restaurant you might think it to be pretentious but nothing is further from the truth. Everyone from the host to the sommelier to the servers are friendly, warm, welcoming and utterly professional. The food is next level French-made with the freshest seasonal vegetables, proteins and beautifully presented. Chocolate soufflé is perfect too. Can’t wait to go back. What a great evening!

   Quintessential French bistro with a well edited menu. Lovely light starters to share. The quail entree is a highlight and a surprisingly substantial option. The real star is the fish entree with the most interesting petite salad accompaniment. Dinner isn’t complete without the tarte au citron with fennel jam and lemon curd; paired nicely with a chartreuse. Magnifique!

   We had such a delicious meal. The pressed duck and all its accoutrements is a MUST. The filet de sole normande was such a treat. And we always have to order the gratin dauphinois. And the two wines we had from Corsica were so interesting and paired well with all our food.

   We had the signature Pressed Duck. Salad with Duck confit was overly slathered with Dressing. Not very memorable. Bread pudding was soggy and bland. Duck breast was the best part of it. Perfectly cooked crisp, Medium Rare and sauce was delicious. The most annoying part of the evening was the waiter who was constantly coming by to ask if we were done eating, did not have a sense of when to refill sparkling water for my date and seemed very inexperienced. It seemed like he was trying to flip our 6:30pm table quickly. I really wanted to tell him off but my date highly recommended the restaurant and didn’t want to embarrass her. Overall a disappointing experience.

   We were there for Mother's Day Brunch with pre-paid, family style service. The food was good although it seems rather awkward to force two people to share a single piece of quiche at these prices. The fixed price menu did not include any sort of drink as part of the price, so we had over $120 added to the bill for four people. There was crab salad served on toast but the toast was exceedingly hard. Cutting through that was difficult since it was rock hard--either toasted too much or toasted too far in advance or both. Two champagnes on the menu, brut and extra-brut. I asked for a glass of the brut and was given the extra brut, which cost 10 dollars more. This was served in regular wine glass in extremely small quantity and it was brought after a long delay. Other than that things were good.

    Food was amazing. Wines selection is covered from basic up to top Burgundies. Service was nice and on a spot. They charge automatically 15% gratitude even for table of two. I had a great time. At least 30% of experience was a wine choice.

    Pasjoli is, without a doubt, one of our top, most favorite spots in Santa Monica for a wonderful (for us, a special) dinner and evening. It is, in a word, perfect. The room is stunning while being completely comfortable & welcoming. The staff, from waiter to receptionist to bartenders to chefs and servers so polite and warm, efficient and respectful, but also easy-going. The food is not to be believed; just extraordinary. So delicious, so beautiful, just divine. Cocktails amazing. One sees couples or friends at tables for special occasions but at same time, solo guests or couples at bar enjoying a cocktail and a dinner there too. The bar is very cool, very beautiful and ample seats. We cannot recommend it enough. LOVE PASJOLI !!!!!!

    We got the duck, which was what we were told they were known for. We were told it would take 20 mins, which was fine. So we ordered a glass of white to sip on while we waited and then ordered a bottle of red to enjoy with our duck. Our duck came out about 2 mins later. We weren’t even halfway through our glass of white. It was clear it wasn’t cooked to order, and we felt like we were being rushed out. The staff didn’t seem to understand the issue (of having a duck that was clearly pre-cooked, which seems odd considering it’s a $200 plate, plus the issue of us feeling like we were being rushed), and were not very apologetic. Before we were even close to being finished with the duck, we got asked about dessert, again making us feel like we were being rushed out. Overall, the service wasn’t great, and the food was pretty good but definitely not worth $200. Our total bill totalled over $500 (for 2 people), and I think you can find way better value for your money elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back.

    10 out of 10! That was one of the best food experiences I have ever had! Filet de sole normande along with fennel ragoût and stuffed mussels is my absolute favorite! Together with gratin dauphinois and gruyère cheese - must have! I have heard of Chef Dave Beran’s previous restaurant Dialogue, that received One Michelin Star. Happy I have discovered his new hidden Santa Monica gem PASJOLI. Will come back! I’m sure Pasjoli is on the way for it’s first Michelin Star! Congrats!

    A great restaurant that just keeps getting better. Some excellent new dishes on the spring menu such as duck croquette (garnished with vegetables), chilled starter with crab flavored with pickled strawberry (yes it works!) and new fun dessert of a baked Alaska, but not like one you have ever seen before. Delicious and just the right size to make a perfect finish for the meal. Main dishes are also great, as always.

    innovative dishes with some you couldn't tell if it was dessert or app. Veggie dish was a mix of raw and roasted, really enjoyed the roasted veggie though the sauce was very heavy bordering on being too fatty. Pork belly w/ cauliflower was very good and recommended. The Entre pork dish was perfectly done and enjoyed by my husband. The restaurant was kind enough to have the Basque Cheesecake for our anniversary dinner even though it was an menu item for the day.     When I’m in the mood to indulge this place is my ideal, like a food Disneyland for me. The ambience of a century ago with the most lovely lounge jazz. Never too noisy or crowded here, though I haven’t been on a weekend night ;) the food is always so crazy for me. Love the simplicity of French cuisine like this, highlighting the fantastic ingredients this place receives from its providers and a balanced richness always that is difficult to reproduce anywhere. The cooking techniques are masterful. The professionals working here are so nice and subtly helpful. No crazy over the top about anything, just good friendly hosts that are genuinely inspired by their establishment. Gotta love that. On the scale of these things it’s easy to spend a lot of money here so maybe some would consider it expensive, but that’s also a joyous thing to feel like you can drop whatever amount and it’s all going to be a magical experience.

    This place is not delivering what it promise on the menu. The pressed duck was misleading, not even remotely prepared as the menu suggests. No tableside, everything premade in advance, separately. Basically a duck breast entree and they are tough to the point, inedible. Addressed this to Caleb D, our waiter, who just shrugged. It's a shame David Beran thinks he can get away with duping patrons. The scallops appetizer was another faux-pas. Using bay scallops and a trompe l'oil of a potato to sit in as the real cast on the menu.

    This is a place for foodies and special occasions. It’s very pricey but also very interesting. The food is creative. I would’ve never had the chicken liver mousse, but decided this was the place to try it. And it didn’t disappoint. We thought the marinated crab appetizer was creative and the flavors of pickling cut through the crab very well. The only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars was because we thought the crab was a little fishy, and it shouldn’t be. The caliber of this restaurant is very high so I don’t expect fishy anything. The main dishes were absolutely delicious and pretty large in size.

    It was a special evening and the food and staff was ver enjoyable. The wine list was a little expensive. The $75.00 cork age fee was extremely high. Actually the bar is over priced, but would go back. The broccolini was over cooked the only bad thing on the menu.

    Service and athmosphere were great! The food has potential to be very good but we were disappointed in the pressed duck which they are very known for. We ordered it 3 days in advance- but when we ate it the meat was quite chewy and tough.
