After a 2-year absence from New York, we were happy to enjoy dinner again at Pasha, and pleased that it hadn't changed that much. There was a a new brand of raki, but I found the old standby, Raki Yeni, a bit more to my liking, and I was glad they hadn't dropped it. We had our usual selection of appetizers, and they were as delicious as always.
We were looking forward to enjoying some good Turkish food and after seeing the positive reviews on Yelp we thought Pasha was our place. While the food was very good the restaurant only had one other couple there at 9:45 on a Friday night in NYC. It was dead with zero energy.
Pasha is our favorite, go-to, reliable restaurant. It's perfect for pre-concert or UWS occasions. Always good, and always quiet.
Food is always good here and so is the service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Great lunch, attentive staff, perfect place for a date and quiet conversation.
We love Pasha!! This last visit was lovely, as always. My salmon was cooked exactly as I like it and as requested. All four of us kept remarking about how wonderful the meal was. We shared a chopped salad and mashed eggplant and everyone enjoyed their entree. We will always return. Thanks!!
we spent a very long time with cocktails to dinner to dessert catching up with friends and the staff never rushed us and that was GREATLY appreciated!
Great spot for a quiet lunch on a hot summer day. "Outdoor" table in an air-conditioned, enclosed section was perfect, service friendly and efficient, and the lunch menu has a prix-fixe with an array of choices. Appetizers were delicious and perfect for 2 to share, and my grilled salmon main was perfectly fresh and perfectly cooked. We will be back for dinner!
Nice place-great appetizers. Old fashioned look/feeling-great service. Very tasty-fun.
Food was fresh and tasty as always. Service was very attentive as always. One of my faves.
Amazing flavor! Thoughtful service! Would recommend to anyone who wants an unforgettable meal! I got the stuffed chicken and Baklava!
You want to like this place but the service was so poor and the food so bad that you can’t. The meze needed salt to taste like anything, no sign of olive oil. The branzino was flabby with not a sign of crispy skin. The vegetables were not even room temperature, but oddly cool and severely overcooked. Ask for more bread and nothing happens. Try to flag down the waiter for another drink—the same. Very disappointing overall. You’d be hard pressed to identify this as Turkish. It could be bad motel dining, but then again that’s probably unfair to motel dining rooms.
The main bright dining room with skylights is a delightful surprise. Decor is simple and restful, dark red cloth walls with a few large mirrors with simple gilt frames. Noise level at 6:00 pm hushed. Service was pleasant. Flavoring of the stuffed egglant was bland. Special lamb kebabs were good but not distinctive. Lamb braised in tomato tasted rather gamey.
Service was so slow we had to pack up and take dessert with us and didnt have time for coffee
We would have loved to love this place, since we love Turkish food and it's close to our home. And the food was plentiful and reasonably well prepared. But there was nothing particularly lively (or, indeed, Turkish) about the flavorings, and the atmosphere was a bit grim. It boasts an old-fashioned formality without the corresponding seriousness of purpose as regards the food.
I have eaten several meals over the years at Pasha. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent.
We revisited Pasha after a couple of years and found the pre-theater dining experience better than ever. We sat on the outside porch and it was so quiet, we could have easy conversation with our friends. All of the food from our 3 courses was delicious and the portions are large. My favorite chicken stuffed with rice and pistachios over spinach was wonderful, the zucchini pancakes were so light and flavorful, and all the desserts ( which we shared among the 4 of us) were mouth watering.
The value of the price fix meal is truly excellent! We will go back soon! “Fulfilled”
We've been coming here for many years when we attend events at the Lincoln Center. Our experience has been consistently outstanding, whether it is for just two of us, or us and our grown up kids. The 3 course pre-fixe menu from 5-7pm is still a superb value, with an excellent selection of authentic choices. The Yogurtlu Kebab was the entree choice we all selected this time, and were delighted with. Service is attentive and responsive to requests. They know how to pace a meal, as we had limited time. Atmosphere is pleasant. Restrooms are clean and spacious. We'll come back again, and we propose this place as an option for friends seeking unique dining choices around the Lincoln Center.
We always enjoy going to Pasha
We love the ambience - we feel as if we were in a Turkish home. It’s so cozy and inviting
The food is well prepared and very flavorful
The value is excellent for that area. There is a price fixed menu with several choices to choose from. It even includes coffee and tea
The service is good and attentive f
We enjoyed sitting “ outdoors” in their glassed-in area
I go to Pasha from time to time when I'm attending an event at Lincoln Center. I have never had a bad meal. I usually don't get the fixed price dinner as the 3 courses are a bit too much food for me but it is a fabulous bargain. Also there are so many choices for each course. I will be back.
I keep going back. Good food in a pleasant setting. Not easy to find that on the UWS.
Really tasty and excellent food. Interesting atmosphere.
Excellent Turkish restaurant, try their apricots with clotted cream desert.
One of my favorite UWS restaurants. My favorite dishes are the calamari followed by baby lamb chops. Not small portions, the calamari should be shared.
They also now offer a three course pre-concert menu from 5-7pm.
Great place for a family group...Mother's Day
One of the few laces you can actually have a conversation..noise level very good.
We took a job candidate to Pasha for dinner. The food was excellent (lamb kebab, grilled lamb, salmon) but for the mezze platter they choose for you, next time I'd select my own appetizers and share. The noise level was deafening when we arrived and the restaurant completely packed but about 8 is cleared out considerably and then all was pretty quiet; theatre crowd probably. The service was hit or miss, perhaps because the place was so busy; probably best to go post-theatre dinners.
Generous portions and good selection of dishes. Prompt service. Tasty!
Had a delicious time. Could have been satisfied by the fabulous appetizers, but were too tempted by the main courses and desserts.
Always good food and and a reasonable cost for the fixed price menu. Very reliable spot for dinner before an evening at Lincoln center.
Very enjoyable dinner starting with a delicious Cucumber Martini at the Bar
great choices for appetizers to share and large portions for entrees
Everything we had was vey good and would come back
This is a reliable place to recommend to friends and visitors from out of town. Good food, good service, lovely bar area and a wonderful 7 day happy hour (at the bar).
Price is right. The food was very good. Gluren free options.
We consistently like to go to Pasha for it’s convenient location to Lincoln Center; it’s good quality of food and varied menu; the lovely ambience which makes me feel as if I were in a Turkish home
The price-fixed menu is a very good deal for the heart of NYC
We always feel very welcome when we dine at Pasha
My friend and I had a lovely Sunday lunch at Pasha. We were looking for something different and had never tasted Turkish food. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very small and cozy and was very quiet, making it great for conversation. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The food was excellent, especially the stuffed chicken breast and the chocolate cake which was amazingly light and moist.
Great ambiance, good food, fast service. Close to Lincoln theater so walked to the show afterwards
Good food, quiet corner
The food is good, but for the second time the service was unacceptable. The waiter was surly and at times rude. No exceptions to the printed menu possible and when exceptions made done with great difficulty. For example, no tomato sauce was a big problem. Waited a long time for a check.
One of our favorite places on the upper westside. You can have a conversation with friends and enjoy good food and service.
I have eaten at pasha many times and enjoyed it but last night was not good. The dining room was crowded, the waiter was unavailable and unpleasant, the food was less than average and cold and the noise level, usually quiet, was too loud to hear across a table for 4. I hope this was just a bad night for them and not going to continue.
