We have been to Pascone's a number of times and have always enjoyed it fully.
This past Saturday evening they had a large party of 35 and unfortunately we waited a very long time before we got our meals. we were seated at 7pm and our entries did not come until 8:20pm.
We will be back and I hope this will not happen again.
We sat outside because we prefer it, but also to avoid very noisy dining room. The mosquitoes did arrive but that’s just nature and no fault of the restaurant. One liked his Linguini Vongole, the other two found both meals way over salted and not up to expectations. Our waiter Anthony did his job well. Do not plan to return.
Very nice dining experience. Home cooked Italian fare with a diverse menu of pastas, meats, and seafood. Hosted business party of 10 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Array of reasonable bottles of wine as well as by the glass. Service and ambiance were exceptional. Would highly recommend Pascone's; you won't be disapointed!
Very nice food well served. Very quiet!!
The server Anthony was fantastic. We loved the food and the entire experience.
We had been once to the bar a few weeks ago and had great drinks and calamari. Decided to try for dinner and was disappointed. Food was too salty. Overpriced pasta. On a positive, piano player was a nice addition and added to the ambiance. Probably won't be back.
We were here on New Years Eve. The restaurant was full but that did not impact the service or the quality of the food one bit, I had the filet with white truffle spinach. The filet was a perfect rare and the spinach was tasty. My companion had the veal and he said it was very good, we both enjoyed the pumpkin lobster bisque although it is a bit pricey. The Caesar salad was big enough for two. We will certainly return to this restaurant,
A treasure! I have eaten there twice (with very fussy friends) and we love it. Highly recommend the Snapper Francaise and the Chicken Rigatoni. Wine list is extensive and very well priced. The Wente Pinot Noir is amazing. Waiter Markus provides wonderful individual attention and is truly engaged ensuring your dining experience is great. Owner Judy is attentive and committed to this family owned restaurant. This is so much better than any of the chains. The atmosphere is lovely, with dark woods and white table cloths. I feel as if I am in Tuscany. Prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. This is one of the best restaurants in Sarasota.
We eagerly awaited the opening of Pascone's and loved our first meal there when they opened. My favorite was the Lobster Thermidor, which is no longer on the menu. However, they do offer a Lobster entree. The service is stellar, efficient, knowledgeable and involved. The food is excellent and nicely presented. The management is spot on! We plan to take many more meals with Pascone's!
This was our second time at the Pascone’s. We have only good things about the place except for the waiting time from the moment you order the food till the time it is served. On both occasions it took an hour for the food to come.
This is something that has to be fixed for this restaurant to get the highest rating.
excellent menu and different than most other Italian restur.. service always very good, large portions , comfortable chairs and booths. Tables are not on top of one another.
The meal was amazing. Great waiter, Marcus.
We rave eaten at Pascone's ristorante a few times and it remains as one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the Sarasota area. The ambiance is a subdued modern elegance. Also subdued is the noise level which allows one to enjoy a conversation with one's dining partners. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable about the wine and the menu. We ordered the antipasto for 2 . It was nicely presented and was large enough for the 3 adults. I had the linguini with white clam sauce twice and it is excellent. This time I had shrimp scampi. The shrimp were large and plentiful, but there was too much pasta which soaked up the tasty sauce. My wife had the ravioli with porcini cream sauce. The sauce was delicious, but there was too much of it that the ravioli were swimming in it. The portion was large enough that she had some to bring home. Our daughter had the manicotti which she declared was out of this world. It was light and the filling was delicious. We did not order desert. There is only one menu selection that I would avoid: Italian latkes. Latkes should be made with potatoes, not stuck together angel hair pasta and fried. We came on a Wednesday which is the day bottles of wine are discounted by 20%. When the bill came, the discount was missing. I pointed this out and the bill was immediately corrected. Despite these deficiencies we would still return to the restaurant.
We love Pascone's! This is a family restaurant with a personal, family touch. The food is excellent and service excellent. The servers remember us and make us feel we've come to our neighborhood Italian eatery. They'll make your pasta anyway you like, just ask. (I like mine with made with angel hair, no sauce, just oil and garlic and one meatball. No problem.) The owner, Judy, is always on duty (or so it seems) making sure everything is just right. We love it.
We had a fabulous meal. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh.
Food was very tasty. We waited a looooonng time, though. Were told at the end of the night there had been two large parties in the back, which was the reason for the wait. They probably should have given us a word about this when we arrived, or at least comped us on the dessert. We had friends from out of town with us and wished we had made another choice for dinner. Not sure if we'll be going back.
After open table kept canceling my reservation, the owner called me to verify my party of 6 was still coming.
Food was excellent. The entire group raved about their meal. Marcus our server was so attentive and entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. We’ll go back
Our server Anthony was very nice. The entres were very good but the house salad was not very good except for the candied pecans and the Caesar was good but skimpy on the dressing. Both salads needed salt.
Food was a bit overcooked. Attentive waiter. Good wines.
Too long of a wait to get your food otherwise food was good little pricey
Our server Marcus did an outstanding job!
four for dinner. One person has lots of allergies. The owner & the waiter and the chef all made sure her multiple issues were handled perfectly. All four of us had wonderful meals with fabulous service. WE would definitely return
Excellent restaurant and service
Server made our dining very special and fun. The menu selections were excellent. Some priced well and others a bit too high.
All four dinners exceeded our expectation.
The Calimari starter was extraordinary.
Very pleased that we took out out of state visitators. Wine was good, too!
Our first trip was a hit. Service was very attentive. Food met our expectations. Keyboard player was nearby, but not intrusive. Great dining to live background music tailored in both sound level and selection to listening enjoyment. Excellent food and presentation from appetizers to dessert. Can't wait to return.
It's hard to NOT recommend a restaurant that has food as wonderful as Pascone's, but that's exactly what I'm doing. For one thing, it is quite pricey, but that's not the main problem. We had the rudest waiter that I have ever experienced. He was arrogant from the get-go, arguing with my friend about what wines were dry or sweet, pushing a featured wine on my husband and I, etc. When we asked that the bill be split between couples he would not, telling us we could just split in half and pay with two cards. But the icing on the cake was that at 7:20, right after we had paid our bill, he came over and told us we needed to vacate our table for a 7:15 reservation. Our reservation was for 6 PM. Did they really expect us to leave in an hour and fifteen minutes at a pricey restaurant?? We were embarrassed and insulted and told the manager we couldn't believe our treatment and that we would not be back, which is unfortunate because the food is good!!
As usual we had a delicious Italian dinner. We all had different dishes and enjoyed them. The service was very good. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. It is a neighborhood 'go to' for us.
Excellent food and service. Great value
Nice restaurant; annoying live music; service needs a little improvement although it's not bad. The food is generally good, if not outstanding. Overall a decent dinner.
I fully enjoy Pascone's Ristorante. It is a family restaurant that caters to its clients. You can meet and fall in love with the owner, Judy. The staff is fantastic, especially Marcus. The food is wonderful. I am so glad it is nearby without having to go downtown or to UTC.
It was my birthday and everything from the waiter to the food and the atmosphere was perfect. I could not have had a better birthday dinner. Thanks, Debi Mote
Service was very slow. Drinks came out after the meal and the meal took 30 min !
The food was excellent though!!
This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem. Service, food, keyboardist and music are all great. The owner is there on site checking every table to see if customers are happy. Pascones is worth your visit.
Great meal with friends. However, a waiter dropped and broke a glass by our table and glass splinters landed on our table and on one friend’s plate. No damage though.
The menu is diverse and interesting. The food is always delicious and the cocktails perfect.
As for service, impeccable . Marcus is the best waiter ever!! Humor and great service delivered with a smile.
Food was room temperature. Service slow and was all about pushing the wine. We ordered wine, but came to have dinner. If they are going to push the wine get a sommelier so the waiter can serve the food when ready. Do not plan to return.
Pascone's was a pleasant surprise...not your run of the mill Italian restaurant. The food is delicious and well prepared. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it!
Service a little slow. Understaffed that night
Seated promptly upon arrival. Waiter very knowledgeable about food and wine list. Food very good. Will return often.
