Not sure the reason but the wait staff seemed unorganized. It took way too long for our meal and our finished plates and glasses were on the table well after we were done.
However the food was fantastic!
Great food, amazing and incredibly kind service. I enjoyed the restaurant a lot and look forward to returning my next time in Atlanta.
We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Paschal's. It was a really nice "Girl's Night Out" outing. The food was really good and the price was very reasonable. Thank you for a great dining experience! Blessings
I reserved for 10 people for my birthday dinner. They called a hour before to make sure I was still coming which was great. When we arrived we sat down for 20 minutes before being seated. Then when we were seated it was two round tables connected. When we requested to move to a Rectangular table they wouldn’t accommodate our needs. We saw tables that were open for us to move to but I guess it was to much for them to move us. Overall for a first time experience it was very disappointed and will not be returning.
I enjoyed looking at the black history on the walls. I do recommend playing old R&B to add to the historical timing
Everything was great
Going back again
Service was great; food was not good. Overall, I would not go back to a restaurant for the service alone, so I would not recommend
Our server Charlie missed the mark several times. My sister and I both asked for extra ice- didn't happen. The salad did not have the tomatoes- we asked for them and it appeared that she was literally doing us a favor to bring us tomatoes. We also asked for extra ranch- had to remind her. We had no silverware and waited for bread....this was my first visit and although I will probably return (for the food)....not so sure for the service.
Great service as usual. I always stop in here when visiting from Chicago.
I took 2 groups from church and the accommodations were outstanding as was the food and service. But it was a Saturday afternoon during the holidays. For tne most part, I always enjoy Paschall's. Naima
Courteous and competent service. Everyone that was involved with us worked well together. That included the people who took our orders, who brought our orders to our table and those who cooked our food.
The food at the Paschal’s in the Atlanta airport is 10x better. The food here is bland. The Mac and cheese was dry had some noodles sticking to one patch of cheese some noodles had no cheese at all. The black eye peas were super dry looked like they were microwaved. The lemonade tasted as if he had been sitting out for a month very sout. The only decent thing was the fried chicken at least that was good. If you really want to eat good food at Paschal’s go to the one in the airport.
Food was off the charts the pricing was great. We went to celebrate a birthday with food and laughs.
Special shot out to Mr.
Girard, made the meal awesome, good luck and happy holidays
Just what we excpected from Paschal’s. Terrific. Not the very best fried chicken in town, but definitely the best shrimp and grits.
I enjoyed the experience with pascals!!! We had a party of 5 they were able to accomodate. It was a cold rainy evening in Atlanta and we were about 40 minutes late. I contacted the restaurant, they were professional and assured me it was no problem. The drinks and food was appropriate temperature and delicious. That fried chicken!!!! The staff ... bartender, server, and host was professional joy!! The facility was beautiful, well kept, and clean. Thank you for making out Christmas dinner awesome, we’ll be back!!
Food was AMAZING! I got their famous fried chicken with macaroni & collards! Definitely would for back!
Upscale soul food restaurant without upscale prices. Very nice experience and great, delicious, and creative food. Paschal offers traditional southern dishes to Cajun soul food creations. There were four in my party and everyone was extremely pleased with menu selection. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how each entrée was prepared. He took all four of our orders by memory without writing anything down and repeated every person's order with extreme accuracy. And yes our food came out exactly how each had ordered. One of the best places to dine in Atlanta, Georgia. It has become one of our "must stop" places whenever we visit Atlanta.
The environment was perfect. However, the problems we experienced was with the food. Two of my guest sent their food back. They claimed the gumbo was salty and the chicken breast was dry.
My daughter’s graduation and it was an amazing time! Loved our waiter Koron was the best! Loved his attentiveness! He was exceptionally kind and accommodating to our party of seven!
The service was good and staff was very friendly. The food we were not impressed with at all. We all had various meal options and no one was truly satisfied.
I made this reservation for a party of 11 to surprise my husband for his birthday. The number of guests changed a few times but the staff was very flexible. My husband and I were flying in from Philadelphia and all of the planning was done online. They accommodated everything that I requested and the night was fabulous! The food was excellent and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat where the food, ambiance and service are a class act! I can’t wait until I return to Atlanta again...this place will definitely be apart of my restaurant plans!
The food was unremarkable. Considering the reputation this place used to have, I was disappointed in my meal. Others at the table were disappointed as well.
Extremely overpriced. $18 for three pieces of chicken and ordinary sides.
I went with expectations arising from Paschal's history and found the only links to its exciting past as a center for civil rights activists, musicians and artists to be photos on the wall. The food was nondescript, including fried fish that tasted like cardboard.
I was excited about this restaurant as it had good reviews on Open Table. Sadly, the food was way over salted and lackluster in general, except for the cheese grits, those were amazing. We were the first table of the day and it still took forever to get our food. Our server was very nice and attentive, but overall the experience was just meh. We won't be going back.
We were in Atlanta for the weekend after Thanksgiving 2018. I had 10 family members for dinner on 11/23/18. Opentable and Google listed them as open and Opentable showed that several other users made reservations for the same night. We took two Ubers there and they were closed. No sign on the door. Just closed. Needless to say it was very stressful to find alternate dining accommodations for a large group that included 5 kids who were very upset and hungry. We won't ever think about trying this restaurant again.
We made the reservation, drove 40 minutes to the restaurant only to find out that they were closed. No notice from the restaurant, website said they were open, I guess they just didn’t care enough to inform patrons that had reservations.
The food was good. But considering it was Thanksgiving and quiet pricey, I expected at least to see table cloths on the tables. Just a minor thing but presentation is everything to me.
I really enjoyed the food and the variety. I love the valet parking. I made last minute reservations for Thanksgiving for my family.
Second year doing Thanksgiving at Paschals. 2017 was way better. Expected more on the traditional menu with more selections for the price. Some of the hot food was just warm. There was a foul fishy odor where the main course items were served. The crawfish and shrimp should have been somewhere else. Dessert options were just ok where was the pecan, pumpkin and sweet potato pies? Turkey was dry on the dark meat. Was just ok this year...
Paschal’s is a gem. The food and service was amazing. I can’t wait to go back!
Great service, good food! Gerrard was a great server & the food was hot & fresh. The price was too high for some of the other issues I won't go into detail about but overall it was a good experience.
Everything was Great.
I visited Pacshals for thanksgiving and the experience was amazing! We were immediately greeted upon entering with smiles and good spirits.
Our waitress was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the menu, our options and specials for the day and checked on our table periodically.
The food was phenomenal. I’m so glad the food wasn’t traditional thanksgiving food. The menu was very diverse and was catered to all diets.
I will visit this restaurant again and will refer others.
I'm a native Atlantan and evrything that Paschal's is advertised as being it is. The Atanta Institution still delivers. Still making Atlanta proud with all of its history.
Great food and customer service I would definitely come back here
Our service was great with the valet service. Our server was excellent. However the hostess could have been more friendlier or at least cordial. When we arrived we stood there for over 5 mins, no one was at the desk to greet us. When she finally came out ,the first thing she said with a mean demeanor was "Do you have reservations?" She never acknowledge our wait or even said hello or welcome to Paschals. I was a bit turned off from that however I noticed a smile when I observed her greet other patrons that did not look like me. Hmm? I am hoping she was having a bad moment. I will return as the food was delicious.
The best thing about our experience was the service. Our waitress was very attentive and timely. Beyond that, I can't say that it was anything special. The blackeyed peas had a metallic taste and the yams looked like they were scraped from the bottom of the pot. The quality of the food was lackluster at best and for the prices it wasn't worth it.
We were visiting from Florida for our Anniversary. Paschal's was recommend and we enjoyed everything. Its a beautiful building with historic urban decor. The food is worth every penny too!
Only issues no one ever answers the phone or responds back to emails. So if one needs to make changes to a reservation its like trying to get through to the Mayor.
