Food was good. Waiter wasn’t very attentive to our needs. Pretty much had to track him down and the place wasn’t very busy. Peach cobbler and fried chicken were excellent
My party was downsized to a party of two and we still got seated and our waitress and the hostess was amazing.
Cousin was in town for a visit
The service was horrible, took almost 25 minutes just to get our water. The waiter was no help. After about 45 min to hour of waiting for our food it was cold. The waiter never came back to apologize or even check on us to see if we were okay. All around horrible experience. I will never go back nor will i recommend this place to anyone
I really enjoyed myself the waiter was very professional and the food was excellent
Our server was kind and polite. Chicken and fish were fresh and hot, however, our sides were not as fresh and seemed as though they could have been the left over from the evening before.
Nice place and food was great, but service was horrible. The bartender seemed to be the bartender, server and possibly the chef. If they picked up the service lapse, I'd have given it a better score
Excellent food and service, great place opened in 1947, must go too...
The food was just ok and our waitress didnt seem to care about doing her job at all. She was hard to find and several time we had another very friendly waitress looking after us as ours was no where around. The food was just ok for the amount of waiting and missing items we had and no waitress to check on us. Sincerely dissapointed.
The service was very nice and the food was excellent! They honored our reservation and sat us, very kind and amazing place to eat
Very great service, food was very tasteful.
The food was way overpriced for what was delivered. There was barely any seasoning on the food. The best tasting dish was the fried green tomatoes. I don’t eat them but my wife enjoyed them. The chicken was bland and fried way to hard. I made a reservation and was seated as if I didn’t have to make one. My reservation was at 9 but was seated about 9:20. I visited this establishment about 8-9 years ago and it will probably be another 8-9 years before I go back. Even them may be too soon. Terrible!
A disclaimer should be put on all reservations made on opentable which let’s everyone know how reservations actually work
Went for a lunch meeting. Food and service was outstanding! Will definitely go back!
The service at this restaurant was terrible. We had dinner reservations for 5:15 and wasn't seated at our table until 5:35 because they forgot about us. The manager took our drink orders around 6 and we didn't get our food until after 6:30. Majority of the food that was ordered arrived at the table warm or room temperature. Needless to say I was very disappointed. My sister was visiting from out of town and I wanted her to experience this restaurant and Sunday was not a good day to take her.
I love the history of the place. I appreciate the delicious food and great customer service.
Great food and service! I enjoyed experience. Knowing that this business was apart of history was exciting!
This was my husband and I first time, but it will not be our last.
The food was great; however the service received was terrible. I booked a reservation online and was immediately seated. My waitress took 10 mins to greet us. Wait time for our main course meal was over 40 mins. A two person wait staff is not enough to handle the load; or it could be that our waitress was just extremely slow.
Excellent food, ambiance and customer service!!! My daughter and I were visiting Atlanta from New York in order to attend Spelman College’s Open House event. As we checked into our hotel next door, we saw so many people going into the restaurant! Once we got settled into our room, I looked up Paschal’s online, and saw that it served delicious soul food. We were hooked!! I made an online reservation, and we were seated 10min later!! (FYI...I’m so glad we had a reservation as many people were awaiting to be seated).
Our waiter did a phenomenal job ensuring that our meal and service was superior! When he discovered that my daughter’s soda was flat, he brought over two beverage options for her to choose which one that she liked the best as an alternate selection! We left the restaurant stuffed and satisfied!!! We will definitely make Paschal’s a staple once my daughter attends Spelman!!!
The food was excellent. My only complaint is my order was incorrect and incomplete. The wait was worth it and I will tell friends.
We drive past that location all the time but we had never been in! I decided to take my mom there for dinner and we were so impressed with the meal! Everything was delicious, we didn’t have to wait a long for our meals, the ambiance was gorgeous. The only thing I wasn’t too thrilled with was our waitress but we all have bad days. I didn’t hold it against her! We will definitely be returning! I ordered the shrimp and catfish etouffie (I’m sure that is spelled wrong) but it was so delicious! And omg! The fried pickle spears!! Ok. I’m done lol. I enjoyed it all!
There was a miscommunication with the hostess. We arrived 1 hour and a half hour earlier than our reservation and wanted to be seated prior to our reservation, yet we weren’t seated until almost 30 minutes prior to our reservation. They seemed to be understaffed and even though my chicken was over cooked, everyone else m’s food was delicious and our waiter was pleasant.
Their friend chicken is amazing, I had the brown meat and my husband the white meat. Both are so tender and juicy, and the seasoning is just right. Collard greens and candied yams were perfect combo with the chicken.
Hostess screamed my name when a response wasn't heard when I was first called to my table. We were a party of 3 and set for 15 mins before we got water and menu. The people at table beside us sat down after us and got their food before we received menus.
After all of this happened, the hostess did offer us a free appetizer. The fried green tomatoes were good.
They were out of the short ribs one party wanted so she ordered fried chicken which she said was good. However her mashed potatoes were not. I ordered a ceasar salad with salmon which was good. A third party ordered lemon pepper chicken, okra and mac cheese. The chicken was very salty and dry on the inside. Okra was soggy. Mac cheese was good. Bread pudding dessert was very good however we had to eat it surrounded by our dinner dishes that were not picked up. Waitress explained that she was doing everything and was overwhelmed. Felt sorry for her but this experience did not make for a good overall experience.
The food came out warm not hot like it was supposed to be. It was like they forgot about it. We had a group of 8 so it’s not like he didn’t see it.
Amazing food and excellent service! Definitely worth adding to you to-do-list while in Atlanta.
Service was horrible and there were only four other tables. Was told that the kitchen was out of "all potatoes" immediately before food arrived and that we had to order something else. Side order didn't arrive until meal was completed. Drinks never arrived on time and bartender prepared less than subpar cocktails. Totally disappointed in this experience.
Paschal's restaurant was truly a disappointing dining experience. We went out to celebrate a recent promotion and wanted to dine at a more upscale soul food establishment. The ambiance of the place is good, the noise level is high, the food is slightly above average. The service is horrible. Our waiter failed to bring our appetizer and left off my entree. If Martin Luther king could dine here today he would be highly disappointed. My expectations for such a historic and monumental establishment far exceeded what I received.
Over all the restaurant was good. The food was ok.
Tatiana, our server, was excellent from the time we arrived all the until we departed. While our team had been there before, she and the young lady that assisted her made our experience!
Waited 30 additional minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Only two people out if the group received their food. After 40 minutes of not receiving anyone else’s food we decided to leave. It was the servers fault not the restaurant.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The history of the restaurant was evident strong and I enjoyed seeing so many
Loved the fried green tomatoes and the lemon pepper wings were fabulous except they are a little expensive for the amount of food that they give you that's my only downside. But because the food was so tasty I don't mind paying that price whenever I go even though I don't go that often because they are an hour away from my house
The food was excellent & well seasoned. The menu of choices to satisfy every taste bud. The waiter was attentive, courteous and friendly. I will definitely go back again.
Just save your money!
• Server with an attitude
• Asked for a wine/drink list, didn’t have it
• Calamari, extra crispy/on the burnt side
• Ordered ribeye, didn’t have it
• Ordered baked potato, ran out of it
• Bought a cake to celebrate, didn’t bother taking the cake out of the box
When I suggest, save your money. Just save it. We get better service at Chick-Fila.
We made a reservation, informed the maitre d of the name it was reserved under and she allowed two women to go in the place of me and my husband. Then acted surprised that she gave our table away. Other than waiting for over an hour, the food was fine.
Overall (neutral). Wait time too be seated 25mins(with on time arrival).
Wait time for food order 40mins(no send backs or menu adjustments)
Chick fil A classic watching Crimson Tide football and 51st wedding anniversary. Had made a reservation n advance. Large number of people waiting We were there promptly at 2 and with reservations immediately seated. Food was very good with excellent service
