Pars Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
I’ve been anticipating the trip to this restaurant for ages. What a disappointment. The food was bland, the meat portions were tiny and there was so much rice on the plate to make up for it. And it wasn’t cheap. $20 for prime rib kebabs which ended up being four little slivers of meat. I just had a gyro and it was tasteless.
After seating us, no one came to our table for 20+ minutes. We finally flagged down a bus boy to ask for help finding our waiter. More than 5 minutes later our waiter shows up, apologetic but also telling us we'll need to be patient given how busy they were. It took another 10 minutes to get the water we ordered to drink and another 10 to get the bread he said he'd bring over. We ordered falafel to start - wasn't good at all. We ordered chicken and beef kabobs for dinner which was tasty. It took us 25 minutes after finishing our meal to flag down our waiter to get our bill. Needless to say I paid cash because I was scared he would disappear again for a long time with my credit card. We were at the restaurant for two hours. The belly dance entertainment was fun - we enjoyed watching some kids who were mesmerized by the dancer. She was really sweet with them - teaching them how she balances a sword on her head and not minding when they followed her around. Unfortunately we were not impressed overall given the service problems. I hope this wasn't a typical experience there but our waiter seemed to be assigned tables in multiple rooms and was unconcerned about ours.
Very pleasant experience for an I prompt New Years Eve early dinner. Delicious appetizers, very good entrees, exceptional dessert, first class service, loved the belly dancers and the decor. We are new in town and knew nothing about Pars before spontaneously choosing it for our early evening celebration on NY Eve. Will definitely return.
The food was delicious and was everything I expected from Mediterranean cuisine. When I was
asked where I wanted to eat that day, Pars was on the top of my list. I'm on the Mediterranean diet for health reasons, I have been wanting to introduce my family to it. They were very impressed by my choice and they raved about it all the way home. The ambiance and the music was very nice, in fact I really enjoyed listening to the music.
Your Dolmas are better than those I tried at a local grocery store and the falafel and spanakopita were quite tasty. To top off such a delicious meal there was a baklava with a candle on it, it was super good. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening.
Kebabs, tomatoes, Persian cut onion and sumac had us happy but rice is does not have the wonderful magic of Persian rice (fragrance and texture). The rice is everything. Also we had a yogurt starter and yogurt was not correct either. So okay but missing the deliciousness of really good Persian restaurants.
My husband and I brought our 8 and 6 year olds a couple weeks ago and they loved it so much that we came back for a family date night last Saturday. We all love the food (the vegetarian sampler is my fav and the kids love the hummus and chicken kabobs) and the atmosphere is really fun - sitting on the floor and watching the belly dancer! What a fun family night out!
I wanted to take my fiancé out to a special dinner because Persian is her favorite food of all. The wait staff initially was good until we got our waiter. He did not interact with us at all. Waited some 20 minutes for him to come back to see if we wanted to order. Once we did he walked by multiple times and never asked how it was, if we needed anything or to refill our empty drinks. We were ready to leave and waited another 20 minutes for him to come back with our check. I should also mention that it was a Tuesday night and there were 3 waiters/waitresses and only 2 tables with people in the whole place including us. The music kept getting turned off for some reason every couple minutes for a few minutes at a time also.
The food was really good though. For the cost I expect a lot better service.
Interesting ambiance in an ethnic flair that was appropriate. There weren't very many people so was very quiet. It was nice when they turned on some music that cut the overall silence.
We were seated and waited on promptly. My order was taken incorrectly which was disappointing.
The food was generally very bland as compared to similar dishes served at other establishments and disappointing. I ordered Gyros & Greek salad and it was difficult to taste the lamb and the sauce had no garlic in it at all. Even the onions in the salad were very bland, almost tasteless.
Good ice tea and hot tea.
It could be quite a nice place to dine but they need to step up the seasoning.
Attentive service and delicious food - Pars consistently provides both. I recommend either of the souvlaki plates or the lamb shank (the meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly), or the falafel plate for vegetarians. Definitely ask about the house rice special of the day - it's well worth the extra cost. Try the Persian ice cream for dessert.
Overall everything was good. Belly dancer was friendly and chatted with us while dancing which was cool. We ordered the hummus/pita appetizer which was perfect for two people. We split the chicken entree which was great too. Then had baklava for dessert. All the food was delicious; was full and satisfied when we left. Only thing was the manager seemed to be watching every staff member that came to the table. He watched the server pour wine and then the person who delivered our food( he wasn't good; didn't know how to place the new food on the table). Maybe new staff training? Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is extensive so would like to return and try more!
Russian Tea was some of the best I have had and brewed correctly. Wanted something different and got a pleasant surprise. Food was good and offered a change from standard fare. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Really enjoyed the soft music in the background great on the ambiance for a strip mall type restaurant, quiet enough that you could hold a private conversation. Left full but not stuffed and having enjoyed a relaxing and quiet dinner without being rushed or spending a fortune. Good show Pars.
I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for years, but the food was so bland, it had no seasoning or flavor. The meat was of good quality, but had no flavor; even the desserts were without flavor. Very disappointed in the food. My spouse and I both felt ill all night after eating this bland food, so we will not be returning. Service was good and ambiance was nice.
We took friends visiting from England to Pars for dinner. Everyone was very happy with the experience and the food. The Belly Dancer was a plus even though tipping her added to the cost of the evening. I love the Moussaka, and my husband and companions thought the Lamb Shank was top-notch.
Food was excellent. My wife had one of her Greek favorites: lamb shank. It was a very substantial serving and she took almost half of it home. I opted for the Thursday night Persian special: Mazeh Combination Stew Sampler. The three small bowls of stew seemed skimpy, but turned out to be plenty. The Fesenjoon stew was especially intriguing, made with walnuts and pomegranate sauce. It might not be to everyone's tastes, but it was a very nice counterbalance to the beef stews. The special came with a choice of appetizers. I chose the humus so my wife could share. Very good hummus. Both entrees were served with a ton of basmati rice.
I wasn't aware there would be a belly dancer. I didn't want to be entertained by a half naked belly dancer. Also, the whole meal took about 2 1/2 hours start to finish. I don't think the kitchen was intentionally slow, I believe it was just the culture of the restaurant. I was there with my 3 yo son, and he simply couldn't tolerate sitting in a restaurant that long! Frankly, neither could I! Will not be returning
