Parma Italian Roots - Scottsdale
With Coastal California style melding with fine Italian cuisine, Parma’s results are elegant, inventive and, at times, downright indulgent. Expect a menu that packs undeniable appeal for those looking for classic Italian standbys as well as those seeking something new.
Everything was great with
The exception of it was very crowded and I don’t believe they should have customers so close to one another in COVID times
Very good service from our primary server. (One runner/server didn't know how to get a soup spoon!) Food was very tasty, however there was a very high salt level, so if that's not your thing, you won't like it here. Nice patio.
Too crowded and no social distancing
Awesome food never crowded. I hope it doesn’t close
Great Great Great!!!
The food was delicious, and the outdoor seating was very pleasant. Our server was very attentive.
I hate leaving this incredible review, as I am being a little selfish and want to keep Parma all to myself... Parma Roots rocks! It is a hidden gem. Their food is delicious with some hearty portions. The staff is attentive and warm. Lots of parking.
The service was excellent, and the dishes were well prepared and presented (we especially enjoyed the Brussel Sprout "shared plate". We enjoyed dining on the patio which opened back up to the bar and indoor dining areas. The decor throughout was up-to-date, nicely lit, and comfortable.
Food was excellent. My wife had the Bolognese and I had the Marsala. Both were good sized portions with plenty to share. The made to order focaccia was great. Salads were good but nothing too much out of the ordinary. The Butta cake was delish! Overall the experience was great. Just one concern was the lack of social distancing between tables, but it is Scottsdale and that seems about normal. Also, it was Valentine’s Day so there would have been some pressure to get as many diners in as possible for the holiday.
Great food. Service was just ok. Our server was missing at times. The food made up for just average service.
Everything was great EXCEPT when we ordered a butter cake to take home. They put a separate container of ice cream on top of the hot butter cake container & didn’t tell us. Glad it didn’t ooze out of the container.
Great vibe, but the food was lacking. We ordered the wedge salad, filet mignon, and butternut squash ravioli dish and all were lacking in flavor. The restaurant design made for a pleasant overall experience.
Bummed you were out of the octopus. However, the cioppino was awesome. We will be back
Sadly waiter Eric dropped the ball on every single thing possible and it was supposed to be a romantic Valentines dinner. Very disappointed as one of our most favorite restaurants. Tim Ummel
Always great. Good wine. Meatballs and short rib are both amazing!
Serve was tops!
I had actually hoped to go to a different restaurant but it was booked out so we tried Parma instead. Wow am I glad we did. The food was absolutely spectacular. Also they had a great deal on wine. The staff was really accommodating and fun to talk to. Everything we ate was a ten! Also I’m a total pesto snob and they had some of the best pesto I have had in years!I have been bragging to all of my friends about it. I am so thrilled to write this review. This will definitely be one of my regular spots now!
Service and food both outstanding. We had a group and everyone was thrilled.
Excellent place to have a birthday celebration ..very tasty entrees and loved the marg pizza and burrata appetizers!!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Parma! They have a nice outdoor seating area and the bar also has seating outdoors. The bartender was friendly and very helpful with our menu selections. The only complaint that I have is that the pasta was too al dente.
Other than that we loved the focaccia bread that the bartender Ashley recommend.
Would definitely go back!
Excellent mixed drinks...good bourbon. Appetizers are better than entrees. Specifically, the prosciutto bruschetta was excellent. Sauces for the pasta dishes (Chicken Rigatoni and Linguini with Clams) were ho-hum. The pasta does taste fresh. We were looking forward to an authentic cannoli, but we were disappointed with the bland flavor and uncomfortably crispy shell.
Note: Happy Hour specials are for Bar seating and Patio only, 3:30-6:30, every day.
We had the gnocchi with white sauce and chicken as well as Caesar salad and mushroom toast and octopus... the food was great and the super Tuscan bottle of wine was great as well.
Amazing focaccia bread with truffle butter, olive oil and basalmic vinegar. Pasta were good but not great.
This is basically a bar with tables crammed into a small space, but not really a restaurant. We were sitting so close to people at the other tables that if they tried to get out we had scotch all the way in so our ribs were hitting our table. If you are at all concerned about social distancing, this is not the place to go. The limited menu is was way over priced, and the pasta was not cooked long enough. On the other hand, our server was great. However, in terms of overall value, I would not recommend.
Food was great. Chicken parm was incredible.
Service was slow for a slow middle of the week dining. Good food.
Great food. Good service. One suggestion would be to turn down the music or play more appropriate music. The club music gets old, doesn’t fit the venue, and all sounds like the same song after awhile.
Great atmospher, unique menu and wonderful service!
Consistent quality food. Very fresh and service and atmosphere is always great. One of favorite repeat restaurants.
Poor service! Ice cold temperature in place. Never gave clean plates.
Everything was very good. The food could have been a little hotter & the pizza crust a little crisper, but otherwise very good.
Best Italian in north Scottsdale! Can’t go wrong with any dish and the cocktails are delicious. One of my favorite date night spots.
Love Parma!! The food & ambience is always great ❤️
Food was very good!
Food was awesome! The pasta and sauces are made fresh everyday. The cannoli and the lemoncello were the real deal!
New Year’s Eve
We will absolutely be going back to Parma! Our family had a lovely evening there and the food was awesome!
Very loud, service was sporadic. Food was good but pricey for casual dining.
Did not care for the Nutella pizza desert, should be removed from the menu
Fabulous Food, beautiful restaurant, great service
