Cool environment and good food! I had the pasta and it was okay, but my moms food was delicious! Will be back to try some different!
The quality of the food was very disappointing. One of the items presented was Crab Cakes Benedict. The crab cakes were mostly filler and tasted like something served at Captain D's. The variety of food available was limited.
Great Easter brunch. Food and staff were excellent, the easter bunny and egg hunt really made the day special for my kids.
It was perfect ! Lovely dinner outside and the burger was delicious
Great food, drinks & excellent service.
Very friendly staff, beautiful patio, food was good.
Great fried chicken
Good food, ambiance and the price was reasonable if not a little bit on the expensive side.
Atmosphere was great!! Food was over priced for the taste. Wings were the only thing good
Great social distancing precautions were taken. The hostess and bartenders were wonderful, and the food was great!
Enjoyed the food, cocktails & service! Great ambiance and spacious seating
Limited menu due to COVID. Fried chicken wasn’t on the menu and out of the ribs. Burger was quite tasty though overcooked (ordered medium). Server allowed me to substitute mac n cheese in for fries. He was good and the tight amount attentive, but dressed far too casual for price of the meal. Others in my party also had the burger (pretty much the only choice) and each enjoyed it. They each had the fries. If you like fries, these will not disappoint. I sampled them and they were good. The mac n cheese was also good and I recommend it as an alternative to the fries. Ambience was as cold as the temperature and nearly empty. Restaurant is located in a hotel and downstairs from the lobby and open to the interior area and bar. Lovely rain foresty outdoors dining area was not available due to rain. Coffee served is a local called Dancing Goats. Delicious. Doubt I’ll return because it’s not near me and I’ll likely want to sample other options with more ambience. But, if you’re staying in the hotel, definitely don’t hesitate to dine here.
Food was good, service was unusual, seated us by the bar right by the loudspeaker when we were clearly there on a valentines date. A group of people met and started talking right above us by the bar (as they would). We asked to be moved to a booth and they did, which also helped with the music volume. Wait staff seemed stretched - they may have been short staffed, but food was thoughtful and well executed.
Whiskey flight was very nice.
Super cold downstairs. Very slow service and cold, subpar food. The staff was nice... when they actually made it to our table. I don’t think it was their fault as to why the service was bad, but again, the staff was nice.
The Server was the most disappointing. He visited our table maybe 6 times in two hours. The most noticeable problem was the cold; I guess 61-63 F. Food was eatable, but not as good as many ordinary restaurants.
My wife enjoyed her pasta. I thought it was bland. I ordered the red snapper. The menus does not say it is served with ham. I do not eat pork. Our server was very nice. Unfortunately, he was not a good server. He was very inattentive. Very nice vibe and decor.
The service was wonderful and buffet had a lot of options. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the ambiance.
Christmas Brunch. Great food and great service.
All the food we had was great. The side dishes were delicious
Went on a particularly slow night however there was still a musician playing that our party enjoyed listening to. Our server was personable, food was quick to come out and was prepared correctly except for the fish which was over seared and the rice it sat upon was over salted. Waiter was not informed of issue because it was still edible, just not as good as it could have been. Cocktails were delicious and our party walked the lit paths outside after dinner which were decorated for the holidays and it was very beautiful. The restaurant itself is also very beautiful. We will be back when the weather is warm to dine alfresco.
Had dinner at Parkwoods with my wife and four other couples. When we arrived at 7pm, the place was almost empty. I thought it would be great since we could converses without shouting.
Cocktails were average. Appetizers seemed ok. But the entrees were certainly “hotel food”. Lackluster to put it best.
The service was adequate. Certainly not helpful or cheery.
I would say this place is good for a business lunch or after hours drinks.
I picked this restaurant because the service was highly rated on Open Table. The kitchen service was extremely slow and the wait staff had to go back and forth multiple times to complete our order. I had expected much more from this place based upon the ratings. We had to ask about our order multiple times.
Food was good but service was really slow. There really wasn’t that many people eating, but it took about 1/2 an hr to get a drink.
I thought it was overpriced and the food wasn’t great. But it was an enjoyable experience. The grits were flavorless and the old fashioned was too sweet.
Hotel restaurant, good food, limited menu items(not a lot to choose from) and a good view depending on where you're seated.
I've been a really big fan of Parkwoods. However, today I was very disappointed with the food. The crab dip was extremely salty and the recipe did not taste the same as usual. The fish that was served with child was over cooked until the batter was dark and hard. This was especially a disappointment because I brought co-workers in with me for a team gathering and no one was impressed with their meal, except for the soup. I feel as though I gave away money because I was very displeased with the food.
Great Food and a Nice Clean Area
Horrible! Everything went wrong. The worse ever!!
This was my first time at Parkwood and it was an amazing experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. Best kept secret. The staff (Jeremy and Jamel was absolutely phenomenal. This is a must see, must try, must experience this wonderful restaurant.
Pretty mediocre. Space is lovely if you can find it. The Crowne Plaza hotel is totally “hidden” with bare minimal signage. Very hard to get to. Food, service, table appointments adequate but nothing special
Food was average and not worth the price. I didn't realize this was part of the hotel. Probably will not have more than a drink there again.
Restaurant inside of a hotel, thus not exemplary. Ambience is clean and neat, not extravagant. Sort of felt alittle cafe-ish. Food was Ok, my companion at double cut pork chop which was alittle salty. Fried chicken was good but not outstanding. Wait staff was very attentive and present. Cocktails were probably the high point of the meal.
Finding the actual entrance of the restaurant was oddly challenging
First, you must know that Parkwoods is a hotel restaurant. There is little to direct you to the restaurant itself from outside its location with the Crown Ravinia. Valet and paid self-parking are both available. Upon entering, it can be confusing to find the restaurant as it does not have its own entrance, rather, it occupies the lower level of the lobby for the hotel. There is an unmarked host stand that was unstaffed upon our arrival. The space is multiple stories high with hard surfaces all around making the noise level significant.
The service staff was prompt and helpful. When my beverage arrived with food crusted on the lip of the glass, our server was quick to get a new beverage in a clean glass. We both ordered salads and we shared a ham appetizer. The portions were surprisingly slight and not especially flavorful.
We had an e-gift card to pay for a portion of our check and the server accepted it, but after already signing and returning the check, the restaurant manager approached our table and said that they had no way to apply the e-gift card to our bill and asked for an additional payment. He asserted there was nothing he could do and apologized for the inconvenience, but was unwilling to make an allowance for the situation. Ultimately, I was at least able to get him to validate our parking, but that may be a normal accommodation.
Food is overpriced and average at best. Meal came improperly cooked. Spent the rest of the meal watching my friends eat. Not one visit from a manager. Finally served the meal where my friends watched me eat. Didn’t take the meal off the bill, offer a discount or even a dessert.
We are definitely going back. The ambience is lovely. The food is delicious and fresh. The service is quick and attentive
Service was terrible because she would never come and check on us. Food took forever to come and the potatoes were undercooked. For the amount of money, the service and food did not match.
With that said, the location and the restaurant are beautiful. I think if attentiveness and getting food out faster were to improve, you would have a great place.
Geraldo and Cici were great !
Thank you Lealani for the feedback! I will share your comments with Gerry and Cici. Please let us know if we can do anything to make your next experience even better! Marcus Roberts
I was looking forward to their fried chicken as several reviewers had commented on how great it was. After a couple of bumps, a chat with the Sous Chef Raymondo and apologies all around, I was not disappointed. They brine their chicken before so it's VERY moist and EXTREMELY flavorful. I would highly recommend this dish. I'm not a huge gravy fan as I want it crispy but it was tasty, the little bit I had. The cheesy biscuits were to die for. They brought extras, yum, while they corrected on their error. The collard greens were delicious. Our server Malcolm was always around and we appreciated him.
