“Our” table was taken so they had us standing there and seated others that came in after, then brought the wrong food 3 times. Finally brought steaks an no side dishes for 30 min later until after steaks done. Took around 2 hours. Overall bad experience for so so food. To their defense their is a big staffing issue in New York right now.
The service was very slow to get food out. The potatoes were not seasoned
Husband and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary. This restaurant wasn’t our first choice but we wanted a good steak. The waitress was super friendly and attentive just enough. There was a wedding going on in another area of the hotel but many of the guests were drinking in the bar and it was super noisy and crowded so we elected to eat outside. It was super windy out but warm. We both got the filet and both were over cooked but tasty and edible. The menu linked to open table is not updated. Everything was at least a dollar more but the entrees did not come with anything like open table says. You had to buy everything a la cart. The waitress did surprise us with a dessert to share for our anniversary. Over all we would go back. I did enjoy my pricey In The Mist drink. My husband was disappointed with the beer selection.
We ordered 3 filet they were not cooked as ordered and they were cold. We waited a long time so we ate them. They did have a very good taste but not warm. Served a cold baked potato that was old old old. Also had a huge bad spot in it. This I did return. The next potato was warm but was also a steamed old potato. The color was yellow and very starchy. Not a true baked potato. For the price I expect a little better. Drinks went unfilled many times and they were served in such small glasses that sodas and waters were empty several times during the meal.
Quick overnight in Niagara Falls was topped off with a very nice dining experience at Parkway Prime, food was excellent, service was friendly, atmosphere on the back patio was quiet.
Atrocious service. Waited 50 mins past my 7:30 reservation and there were about 20 other tables in similar situations. Front desk had multiple meltdowns and telling everyone who she didn’t care. The amount of attitude was off the charts from the front desk and manager.
The food was not worth the wait. They had to redo my son’s order multiple times.
This restaurant is in a convenient location - inside the Doubletree and very close to the Falls. But I would avoid until they fix their management.
Thank you for your feedback, and I apologize for the lack of standards presented that evening. The head manager did have the evening off and from your feedback provides valuable continuous training. We have made adjustments on how we will be handling seating moving forward and our restaurant continues to evolve as we increase staff. I will hope you give us another opportunity because our entire limited team works very hard. Thank you for your time.
The food was the only thing stopping this from being a 1 star. 2 top, took 2 hours and 25 minutes to dine, and not because we were enjoying our time.
- 20 min to get asked what we wanted to drink, and lots more waiting to actually get it.
-Food actually came too fast after getting soup and salad.
-And then we waited over 25 minutes of being completely done before our server came over to ask if we wanted dessert/ the bill. She’d disappear for long periods of time.
We understand they were most likely understaffed a bit, but the manager was terrible and we didn’t even ask to speak to her. (slamming plates when clearing a table, and acting annoyed when another table couldn’t remember.
which salads they ordered). Hostess seemed worthless as the manager took over her job too and after that hostess just wandered. Tip: instead of trying to fill every seat with the line of people waiting, perhaps just say your reservations are booked and you don’t have anything available for a few hours- give the servers some time to breathe.
Pretty decent food, but also pretty high prices for a hotel restaurant. Wouldn’t return.
Very bad experience was very disappointing since it was a friends birthday and we weren’t from here
Waitress was inattentive to the needs of our table, and to the needs of surrounding tables. She did not check on us once. When she came to take our order, I asked for a wet rag to remove dried food from the previous table and she went and took another table’s order who was seated after us. Another neighboring table was seated and waited 25 minutes before they even had their drink order taken. We had been there one and a half hours before our entrée made it to our table. When the $110 dinner for two tomahawk steak finally made it to our table, it was cold as it had been sitting for a while. When these issues were addressed with the manager, she stated that people don’t want to work because of the pandemic. I feel that’s a poor excuse for the lack of service. If that is the case however, they should seat guests in a manner that doesn’t overwhelm the staff, not to how many tables are available.
The displays were so lovely. The room opened a few minutes late, but it was worth the wait. Most moms got a flower, but it was not consistent. They had a sax player, NICE touch. Our waitress Sandra was kind, attentive, snd patient with my kids. Plenty of wait staff, all of them greeted us as we passed by. The prime rib was very good. All the sea food was correct temperature and good. The only item not good was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hard you could hurt someone with them. Too long of wait at the carving station. The dessert table was fantastic, lots of variety. If you are at the Parkway, you have to mention the view right! The river view from almost every table. Sarah the banquet director outdid herself. Thanks for the great Mother’s Day brunch.
needed to find a restaurant last minute to celebrate my birthday & im glad we came here. i knew from looking at reviews i didnt have to worry. food was good. our waiter sandy was very helpful & polite. definitely an excellent atmosphere, wasnt overcrowded. perfect place to come if you’re celebrating something .
We had a party of 10. One person had alcohol the rest of us had water and felt like we kept having to ask for pitchers to be filled up. Our brother got the 44 dollar steak and it was not good tasted as if it was soaked in water for days before it was cooked. The rest of the items were very unseasoned and tasteless. We had reservations for 630 and we were there for 3 hours! We waited for 2 hours for food!
Food was good, however our first experience there was amazing. Maybe they changed chefs. Food is still worth it just not as good as it was pre-pandemic.
Sandy the waitress was so pleasant and nice. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and it was everything we had hoped it would be.
Very pretty view of river. Food was good. Service was a little slow, but over all not a bad place unwind and enjoy a meal
Great food and service! We will definitely be back! Our server was excellent, she did a great job of reading the table. She connected with us and made us feel important. I would love to have her as a server again!!
Great service, setting, and food. Thank you!
Overall drinks was good celebration of my 49th Birthday
Great food, service and a pretty good view outside.
The food was prepared well but some was not fresh, it was lukewarm.
Nice setting , service was fine however the food was not worth the money , steaks were over cooked , sides were cold and tasted poor , and I’m pretty sure my daughters burger was soy ... very disappointed especially for the money !
The salad was delious and the prime rib sandwich was equally good.
Our server, James was very accommodating and provided excellent service
Reservation was for 8pm, but we were seated late. The room’s temperature was very cold, and it was cold outside. The waitress took a while to greet us for our initial drink order, while we were sitting there freezing. The appetizer and entree came out at the same time. The table had no utensils or napkins. She brought them out with the food. The food was hot, but the flavor wasn’t that good, especially the appetizer. We were not pleased. It was evident that they were short-staffed, and needed some help.
This restaurant is right at the entrance of a hotel. Literally no ambiance for a fine dining experience. Would not recommend at all.
Great ambiance and food.
Great service, great food! Only thing that could have made it better is if the brussel sprouts were a little more seasoned
Take your significant other here for a date night! The food was reasonably priced, the staff was very nice and the views of the Niagara River were beautiful.
Chairs are fabric and stained. Big turnoff. Delmonico steak was mediocre. Filet was perfect. Sandy was an excellent server!!
My fiancé and I visited for my birthday and we had an amazing experience! Our server was so attentive and caring, she made my birthday even more special with a dessert and kind words. We will 100% be back 😊
We were seated pretty quickly and greeted. The food was reasonably priced, however the drink, which was a side car was a bit overpriced. The bacon cheeseburger and prime rib sandwich was delicious along with the smoked Gouda macaroni and cheese. I’d definitely come back when In the area.
Elaina was a great server. Very attentive and kind. She catered to all of our needs in a timely matter. Food was excellent.
Beautiful place for some finer cuisine with excellent service and delicious drinks.
The food was decent, but not spectacular. 1 of us got the man n cheese with the blackened chicken which was OK. 2 of us ordered steaks, the sirloin can out cooked properly but was lukewarm at best, the other was the ribeye and was undercooked. Best part of the meal was the bread basket and cheesecake. Do not recommend, not worth the money.
Food came out different than excepted.
Nice bar area, but the main dining areas appeared very simple.. no decor other than the tables and chairs... oh and a small vase with one fake flower. The dinner for 2 was awesome could be shared with 4 if you get an appetizer like the meat and cheese board. Lots of restaurants around the area were closed. We went there for lunch, but asked for the dinner menu.
We ordered the dinner for 2 n when we got it, it was cold we said we didn’t want it any more but the manager tried to bring us out another one even after being told we didn’t want it our server was great however very kind and listened to us
The meals were delicious, we went for 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners during our hotel stay. Everything was superb every time. Kuddos to the chefs!!!
When we arrived our table was ready, we did not have to wait. The food was beyond delicious. It was made to our liking. The atmosphere was very romantic. Everything was beautiful. The staff was right on point with everything. I would definitely dine here again.
Had a great time at Parkway prime Steakhouse & Lounge!
The food was delicious, the server was knowledgeable and polite, and the live music that evening was spectacular.
We had a terrific Valentines dinner. The staff was excellent, the tables were nicely spaced for social distancing and the food was excellent.
