Great setting, great presentation and the highest quality Chinese food.
Absolutely disgusting food and service. Water leaking from the ceiling, very expensive and small portions. Not 5* rated. AVOID
Good local chinese, lovely food and quick service for takeaways
Stunning decor, great presentation of good and first class taste. The best Chinese restaurant.
Great, in fact fantastic food. The restaurant had a very casual and relaxing feel to it, which I liked. The decor is a bit cheesy but that's the nature of the beast. Apart from us there were over 20 other patrons, all Chinese. Obviously you feel reassured of food quality if actual Chinese people are frequenting the restaurant and having a good time. If I had to picky, I'd say the main waiter, with the ear ring!, needs to cheer up a little. At least look like you enjoy the job mate....
The ‘char siu’ pork meat was s disappointment. New year s eve, lack of atmosphere, most restaurants give you some special treat like free prawn crackers or sweets for children. Will not recommend for celebration events.
Had a lovely meal for my daughters 21st. Food was gorgeous. Would definitely come again and recommend to friends.
Great food and service will definitely be going back
Very good service made my dates night special and will go back again
Vegetable spring roles - all pastry no vegatables
Main courses - one spoonful was enough
Attended on mother's Day. All tables full yet service was fantastic. This place has gets better every time we go there.
Dinner with my husband before a play. Dinner was delightful and delicious.
A fantastic restaurant for Cantonese, traditional Peking and authentic Sichuan dishes which are nice and spicy.
Three of us had a fantastic meal at the restaurant tonight.
I travel to Hong Kong and mainland China for business a lot and the food at this restaurant is as close as you get in the South East of England’s to authentic Chinese cuisine.
The menu is spit into sections, Cantonese food, traditional Peking and authentic Sichuan dishes which are nice and spicy. The wasabi prawns and the pork dishes are a must.
The waitress that served us was very attentive without being intrusive and had an intricate knowledge of the menu. She was able to give great recommendations and made sure we did not over order, a great temptation as the menu is very extensive.
The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasing and most important for me as I have a bad back the chairs are very comfortable.
If you want a great taste of authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price I would highly recommend this restaurant
we actually had nice food here but were shocked as there were only 3 tables occupied at 8pm on Saturday night. When we arrived we were therefore worried that the food would be awful. However we were pleasantly surprised. We had a mixed starter platter to share, which was nice.
for mains we all chose something different and enjoyed the food. The service was ok. No atmosphere as so few people but at least we could chat in our group of 6. They deserve more business as we thought the food was ok.
An extremely disappointing experience for my husband and I who decided to try this restaurant for our Sunday evening meal. The service was poor, and due to a lot of children being in the restaurant, (who actually looked like they belonged to the staff, as were in the corner but the bar area)it was like dining in a creche. The food was tasteless, and when asked the waiter about my dish not tasting of Lemongrass (it was their signaturw dish), as he said was - it’s in the sauce. We left after one hour as could not bear it. A waste of good money on bad service and food.
I booked this restaurant as a surprise for my daughter's 18th birthday; had promised to take her for ages. This has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I've visited in a long time. And the best service in any restaurant; a lot of other places could learn from this place. We were greeted on arrival and shown to a table and I asked for a candle, as were on other tables, as it was her birthday. No problem! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with space between tables and the whole place feels comfortable and airy. As for food we had the traditional mixed platter to start followed by egg fried rice, sizzling lamb and from the 'traditional Chinese menu' we had flat noodles with marinated beef. All delicious and the lamb and noodles are especially recommended. They serve Cantonese cuisine plus traditional Chinese dishes if you would like to try something more 'authentic' and they are happy to explain any dishes you're not sure about. If anything is left over it is boxed up for you to take home. The service is brilliant and I have to say a big thank you to the waiter who served us, sorry I didn't get your name. As it was my daughter's 18th they surprised her with banana fritters and chocolate ice cream as a surprise even sung happy birthday and gave her a gift. What a lovely restaurant! We will definitely be back. Thank you very much to the owner and your lovely staff.
Best Chinese food in orpington . We had lovely evening .
I used to visit this place frequently when it was under the previous management. The layout and decor is the same but the main thing that has changed is the prices. The food was good - not exceptional - but the prices are way over what you'd expect to pay for food of this quality. Previously, you would struggle to get a table on a Friday/Saturday night but now on a Friday night, there were only three tables occupied. It's shame because the staff are very nice and friendly but based on their prices, I won't be going back.
First time I've been to this restaurant and I'll definitely be going back. Large 'european chinese' menu but also has an authentic Chinese section with dishes that I've only seen in Chinatown or in the far east. Generous portions and the food is great - especially the Wasabi prawns. Highly recommended.
