Went here for brunch. The bloody marys and shrimp and grits were my favorite!
The octopus dish a has slid a bit on presentation...
The food was great, service good, but it is very loud. I'd go back for the food!
Great food. Saturday brunch was excellent. The poached eggs on the truffle oil polenta was cooked perfectly. Best French toast in town. Service was the best.
Loved this place! Very impressed with service, quality of food, ambience, and our server Peter and staff were on it!
The food, service, and decor were all strong. I would definitely recommend this place. I was there for Sunday brunch, with a date.
Disappointed. Had seen the Check Please episode and thought this place would be a great choice for a dinner with my husband. It ended up being more of a place for business colleagues to get drunk. The appetizers were delicious - lemon chips and deviled eggs. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts chips but they came much later after we had to ask about them. Ordered the burger medium but it came out rare. The set up of the dining room is really odd, sitting diners on the corner of booths. Our server was very casual and inattentive. Slow service on drinks (ordered a beer and the McLaren which was tasty). The manager on duty kept visiting the table next to us and leaning his hand on our table as he visited with them. As the evening went on the server appeared to warm up and be more genuine and helpful. But way to late for me. Unique aappitizers and cocktails can not make up for poor customer service and mediocre entrees.
The food is outstanding. The particular server we had during this visit left much to be desired.
This place is so good. They really develop their flavors to perfection. Also had some nice cocktails off their menu which I loved. It's on the pricier side but worth it.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing! Food and drinks were delicious! One of my fave spots in SF.
Burger and duck was great. Ribeye was ok, A little bland. Pork chop wasn’t liked.
Love this place-good vibe, good food and drinks and really great space and decor. We had a great brunch on a Sunday.
Very good service. The ribeye didn’t have much flavor.
Thank you for being flexible with our arrival time. The service was amazing, cocktails superb, and the lively atmosphere was great for people watching.
I look forward to visiting again.
This is easily one of the best restaurants in SF; if only the service lived up to its food. I was part of a group of 8 people, celebrating a friend's birthday . We all arrived staggered but we were invited to get seated as we arrived. Unfortunately the hospitality ended there. It took us several minutes to flag down our waitress after we were all seated. After placing our food orders with her, she asked if we wanted to add any other items to the order. We told her "we will likely add things later on but we're good for now." She nodded and took off. Within minutes of getting our food, we realized we would need more food for the table. After getting her attention, she flippantly told us "the kitchen closed at 2:30 - I barely got your orders in. All we have left is fries" and took off. We stared speechlessly at each other and continued eating. She came to check on us later to see which plates she could clear and despite us still working on our food, she commented, "it looks like you guys are done" and started clearing some of the plates...
I have to comment that the two hostesses and the manager were incredibly gracious on our way out - thanked us for visiting, invited us for brunch again soon, held the door open for us. But our experience with our waitress left a LOT to be desired. Not sure if I would be back - that was too painful to sit through and put a damper on my friend's birthday.
I come back to Park Tavern time and time again because the food, ambiance, and service. It was my first time coming for brunch, and the fritters were amazing. The side of bacon was basically fried to a crisp which was disappointing, but he Bloody Mary and burger were perfect.
I've been coming here for years usually always on my birthday and many times between that. Whether it is a social business or date night or a night to sneak in on your own and get a quick Burger and nice cocktail it's always been a pleasure to experience. we just went there the other evening on my birthday and my server I believe her name was Lindsay went out of her way to make sure the experience with extra special.
All good. Friendly attentive service.
Incredible food. The burrata with lemon chips was one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had in my entire life. The roasted chicken was like butter, it ruined all chicken for me.
Thank you for a great ambience and experience
GREAT SALAD...DUCK (2 pieces) was insufficient and the plating (mixed veggies MIXED into the polenta) NOT good, + the DUCK was VERY tuff.
Great food, great atmosphere and awesome cocktails! Highly recommend for any occasion. Parking a little tough though, so leave extra time for that.
Deviled eggs are great
I came here for brunch. The food came out really fast. My only complaint was that my server wasn’t very friendly, but other staff were, including the hostess, who offered me water while I was waiting for my table. Maybe my server was just having a bad morning.
Great food great atmosphere for a night out... area was very safe and full of young people
The food is nothing special, the service was lack-luster- had to ask multiple times for a refill of water. The prices exceed the quality. It was also incredibly noisy and hard to focus on the conversation at our table because it was so loud.
BidthdAy. Disappointed in menus . At 2;30!still brunch. Very limited and hard to find something I liked
Met up friends from out of state, made a reservation and they were more than accommodating as some of our guests were late to arrive. Their cocktails were delicious, and it was a great way to begin our brunch! We heard nothing but great things throughout our meal! We loved it and will be returning.
Brunch was delicious! Had the shrimp and grits. Smoked trout eggs Benedict was amazing too!
Great cuisine! Chef is amazing. Loved the octopus!
Ordered a medium rare steak but it came out medium well. They offer us a replacement but we said it was ok.
We're from Fresno and went for Valentine's Day, so had a prix fix menu. The food overall was good. The beet dish was very good. My husband loved the squid. We wil go back to eat off the regular
Wow. We each paid $140 each for one drink, one app, one meal and one dessert each. I swear to god I was hungry after. Not worth it.
Went here for brunch. The grapefruit brûlée was amazing and the smoked trout Benedict was nice and savory.
Park Tavern is a neighborhood gem! I make sure I take out-of-town visitors here for brunch. You can't beat the sidewalk seating across from Washington Square Park! And the staff? The staff is consistently warm, accommodating and efficient. It's one of my favorite places to brunch in the City! It's the total experience!
I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were high when I searched for brunch, so I went for it. The avocado toast was delicious! It had a bit of chili powder and sea salt and was very tasty. I also ordered the cast iron baked farm eggs, and here is where it went downhill. I receive this dish and realize I have to use a fork (not just the bread, which comes with it) to scoop up some of the kale/cheese/egg mixture. After a few bites, I realize I'm afraid to take another bite because it might be completely cold. At the same time, I happen to see two other people also get that dish and it is steaming hot with gooey cheese consistency, and realize my dish is not even lukewarm. I tell the waitress, who is very apologetic, about this and get another dish a few minutes later. The man who brought it in made sure to mention to me that its still sizzling (it was). I was excited to enjoy this dish again (it came recommended in my search), when I realized the eggs are completely fully cooked! Again, a couple more people around me are scooping into their runny eggs and gooey cheese while I'm trying to get some liquid in mine. So disappointing! Its so sad because the flavors were there, and were really good! The wait staff was great, and service was fast, but the execution of my dish specifically just failed. I wont be recommending this place.
Everything was great except for the duck, which was tough and “nugget-like.” It was supposed to be medium rare. It was barely cuttable. But we did get free champagne and great velvet cake because it was my 60th birthday, which I only told them when I arrived. This is my second time here, and I will be back, but I won’t order the duck again.
Try the signature chicken; it is delicious and enough for 2-3 persons.
Everything on the menu is excellent. Can't go wrong with the classic burger.
Place is very popular so make reservations.
Great ambiance and service but way overpriced for overall mediocre food. Sides of carrots and Brussels sprouts and my main charbroiled trout was fine, but the sides of beets were awful, drinks (cocktails) were not good, and the bass main course was not appealing to either of us. Also charged for club sodas. Desserts were underwhelming. Wouldn’t have been so disappointed if it didn’t come out to nearly a $200 meal.
