We had a wonderful experience at Park Tavern on Saturday for brunch. Our server and the wait staff were amazing and the food and drinks were delicious! We will definitely return soon!!
Thank you Park Tavern!!
We are longtime customers of Park Tavern and typically love the restaurant. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was fair at best. The restaurant was not busy, yet service was poor and the meal was very average. We were entertaining for business and were very disappointed.
Excellent staff.
Fun brunch spot in North Beach!
Overpriced for what you get. The PT fries were great but everything else was sub-par, especially the steak for the price point!
Great food and service. Couldn’t visit with my friends as it was much too noises.
The entire experience was wonderful! We had bags with us and the hostess pleasantly took them to the coat closet before seating us. From the must have deviled eggs to the salmon Benedict and polenta cakes the food was phenomenal! Oh and don’t forget the mimosas!!! Winta our waitress and Jeff the manager made our experience so much fun and enjoyable! Can’t wait to return!!
We had a great brunch over the weekend and the service was stellar. We loved the pineapple upside down fritters to share and the pancakes may be the best I’ve ever had.
Excellent food, fantastic service by Dimitri that came with excellent wine suggestions for an overall great evening! Will be back.
It was great!
Very good food, great service and location is perfect. Our guest from Chicago loved the food and said that the server was the best that she had ever had and she does not cook but eats all meals in restaurants!
Been coming here for years and it's really never disappointed. Solid food & drinks in a comfortable atmosphere. Hard to complain!
I ordered shrimp and grits and it was very salty.
Also it was my husbands birthday and I told them in advance to bring a dessert in the end but that never happened. I was hoping for better service and attention than that. I come here regularly but something or the other keeps happening with the service.
Great meal, great service!
Great ambiance, great service, scrumptious food, tasty cocktails.
This place was awesome! The deviled eggs were great, the birthday cake was great! Our server was fantastic! Good ambiance. The meal was pretty good! Drinks were a little small for my liking for the price that we payed. Overall, not too shabby!
Big fan of Park Tavern for what is usually a consistently good experience but this time our server was really not good. He didn’t have any warmth and sort of hovered over us without speaking and disrupted our conversation. Maybe he’s just an awkward person but he came off a bit surly and pushy—it was a really odd, awkward experience and we didn’t like his style.
Food for brunch was great, everything had flavor & good portions.
We were seated at a table that was too small for my husband at 6 feet 5 inches. Uncomfortable seating.
Chicken took 1/2 hr and was hard to cut.
Excellent food and service!
Went for Saturday brunch. Poached eggs with salmon were great. Atmosphere is nice and staff is solid.
Always quality food! Deviled eggs and burger are always a good choice.
Moderate noise level and able to enjoy a meal catching up with friends.
Service lacked a little this time around- they forgot a dish and felt rushed to leave at the end of the meal.
Good food. Too expensive for everyday fare.
It was very overpriced for what we got, but the service was really great and I enjoyed their fun cocktails.
Attentive service, everything was delicious and executed perfectly.
Excellent service! Cozy atmosphere, but with enough space to allow diners to move around comfortably and not feel crammed into table seating. Avocado toast was delicious. I had Shrimp and Grits for brunch, and the shrimp was plump, fresh, and well-prepared. The grits are actually polenta and it is all enveloped in a spicy, very tasty and light red sauce. It's on my list of favorite dishes. I recommend Park Tavern for brunch - it's a great experience - exactly what brunch is supposed to be.
The burger was overcooked, and our waiter was inattentive.
Loved the evening. We felt very cared for and the place is great!
Bad service and disappointing food. We had to flag our server down multiple times for service
The brunch menu is wonderful. We especially loved the coffee cake, the grapefruit brulee (quite unusual) and the Leek Scramble (which they graciously made for us without the bacon). We can't wait to return to try other things!
Great food and service, we will return. It's a bit noisy so not good for work or a larger group.
Great burger and appetizers!
Ive eaten here since it opened. Have always had a terrific experience. This last time was mediocre (at best). Didnt have a server for about 20 min. When we did it was one of FOUR different people. Food, when it finally arrived (two burgers and a pork chop) were cooked to near inedible wellness. Forgot our bread order. The only thing on point were the lemon crisps and Brussel sprout crisps, which were perfectly hot and delicious with their crisp Champagne.
Next time will probably just head to the bar for apps and drinks, as dinner appears to have fallen off.
Love Park Tavern. We had a very fun wait person and the food was delish.
Great service, small but seasonal menu, trendy vibe overlooking quaint Washington Square Park. A SF must!
Food was overcooked and price/value was way off the mark. Please don’t so the same to Tosca. Park Tavern is our local place but have been missing it on the food lately.
I live on the other end of town and always like to venture into other neighborhoods to discover new places to dine. I had read some information that this place was named best new restaurant on 2012 and that it was part of the "Big Night" restaurant group - for those in the know - that includes other locations such as Marlowe and the Cavalier (one of my favorite pre-theater locations).
I visited with a friend and we arrived early to grab a drink at the bar. It was a relatively busy Friday night, but not too crowded. We grabbed some stools and I ordered a McClaren gin cocktail and my friend went with a glass of Malbec.
Later we checked in with the front desk and were seated at a two-top in the front section of the restaurant. It was a little noisy - for some reason Elvis was playing over the speakers. Our table was super wobbly and our server fixed it perfectly within minutes.
For food, we each order a deviled egg (so good, with bacon and a bit of a pepper kick). Then we shared the warm goat cheese salad - which was perfect. For a main course, I went with the short ribs and my friend ordered the steak frites. Both were spot on. We finished by sharing the ice cream sandwiches - vanilla ice cream with blueberries. This was an off point because it was delivered to our table, but we had no utensils - and the blueberries were meant to be dolloped on top. So we had to grab a passing person who brought back two forks. It would have been helpful to have some knifes as well, in order to neatly scoop the scattered berries.
We also enjoyed a few glasses of Malbec during the meal (should've gone for the bottle).
All in all, a good experience. I'd definitely recommend this place. It's a bit pricey, but the food was delicious.
The Poulon Rouge was off the charts. We had a party of six and everyone really enjoyed their dinner.
Very good good and the service was exceptional!!! Thank you Demetri
We always love park tavern esp for brunch!
