Nice restaurants. The fritters were great and shrimp and grits delicious. We will go back.
Great service and advice on the dishes. We made a couple of changes to the dishes and they were very accommodating.
Great food, cocktails & atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Armando was awesome!
His service was excellent and will definitely return sometime soon!
We had a great time!
High energy. Great food. Efficient service. Rustic decor.
The seven of us went for a special Birthday celebration. We had a very early reservation at 5:45pm. We still waited for over a hour for our order to be taken. My daughter and I were so dissapointed with our entree, which was trout. I feel that the restaurant should of said it is more like salmon flavor. Which we never would of ordered because we don't like salmon. The vegie's under the fish were salty and over cooked. My son's said the pork chop was good but the vegie's were cold. The pasta my husband ordered was bland. My daughter's burger was dry. Everything is ala carte which makes for an expensive meal. We don't mind paying such a high price for a dinner if it's worth it. Our waitress was very nice. Won't be going back or reccomending this restaurant to anyone.
Park Tavern never disappoints and I am still dreaming about the brussel sprout app! Cozy, warm and inviting- go for the Holidays!
A Birthday dinner with great friend. Yes loud, but boisterous and fun. Lots of family’s which is rare and due to Thanksgiving, BUT we had a blast. Food was just terrific and great and patient service for our table of 8! We’ll be baaaack!!
The food was delicious and plentiful!
Music playing was loud and inappropriate for early-ish brunch. Absolutely will not return for brunch due to this. I had to makeshift earplugs from bathroom tissue to be able to enjoy .
We had excellent service, though.... Too bad they can't make for a more relaxing environment, the place deserves better than the music they were playing.
Main dining room was filled with smoke from the kitchen to the point the restaurant had to open a door to the outside to vent the room more than once. Two of us had scallops and both of us commented how salty the greens were. This is the first time we’ve eaten dinner here and will most likely stick with like brunch/lunch.
Got a strong recommendation from a coworker. My wife and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, everything was beyond underwhelming. Service was obscenely slow. Food was tasteless. Space is unforgivingly loud. There are far better ways to waste money.
Great food, drinks and ambience. Noisy, but we expected that. Not our first visit, and we returned for a reliably excellent dining experience. Nanette is the most professional, delightful server in the Universe, and I hope she retires with a million$.
They food was so good and the staff we great.
It was very noisy in this restaurant and the food was average.
We came here for brunch and it was DELICIOUS. We each ordered something different (4 of us) and every dish was SO good!
Chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits were our favorites. The quinoa bowl has a very interesting and tasty smoked yogurt on it! Drinks were good, but not outstanding/memorable.
It was pretty quiet and empty and yet they sat us right next to another table - which was odd since most of the restaurant tables were open. Made it slightly uncomfortable.
Second time here and it was another good experience. It was different from our last visit, and still a good date night
Everything perfect except sound, install some sound absorbers and turn the music down , please!
Birthday brunch. Too busy. Fast food service.
We had high hopes for a great dinner at Park Tavern. We had dined there many years ago and had a terrific experience and the reviews were very positive. Unfortunately the service was suboptimal (very nice wait staff but had to ask for our order a couple of times, and the entree was delayed). Appetizers were delicious but the entrees were not as expected: pork chop overdone and pasta greasy; chocolate cake ok but icing supersweet. Given its history and reputation I would be willing to give it another chance.
Took my mom for her birthday and it was just perfect. Good vibe, lots of energy and lots of vegetarian food choices. Server was accommodating for special dietary needs
The location is great - right next to Washington Park. Host, bartender and waiter couldn't have been nicer. We found the menu mundane. Ordered the "Marlowe" burger and scallops. As the scallops were served, the server said, "best item on the menu". We found them perfectly cooked but under seasoned. The sauce, pomegranate seeds and other accoutrements tasty but the dish was blah except for the occasional bite of ginger. The burger was tasty but completely overwhelmed by the doughy and tasteless bun. The fries, however, were outstanding! Best I've had in ages. The bill was...yikes. Won't be going back soon.
It is way too loud in the dining room. The servers are great and the food is good. Can’t do the noise levels. Sorry.
We are fans of Marlowe, so we decided to try another restaurant under that umbrella. We were delighted with our dinner from beginning to end, delicious food being the most important part of the equation.
Food was mediocre
My husband and I tried Park Tavern for our date night dinner this past week. The ambiance is great and there was a lot on the menu that looked good! We’ll definitely be back, but it may be a little bit since our bill came in around ~$180 (which is a little steep for weekly date night in my opinion). Skip the dessert, the October birthday cake was very dry and definitely not worth the ~$15 charge.
Awesome food, in a great part of town with a super cool layout! Highly recommend.
Over priced, dry, over salted, dry and smallest fish plate for $36. I’ve lived in SF for 20 years and have gone to gazillion restaurants, of all ranges including most of SF Michelin star restaurants and lots of small non fancy places too and this place is far the worst. After $160’dinner (before tip and only with one drink), we were so unhappy, we had to get another dinner. This place has gone down hill badly. Never again.
We visited Park Tavern for Sunday Brunch and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly, the menu as full of intriguing goodies, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend that you try the smoked deviled egg and the pineapple fritters. They were heavenly!
Horrible. I brought 8 people. We walked out. It took an hour and a half after appetizers and 2 complaints to the manager before we left because the entrees did it arrive. The excuse was too many chickens were ordered in the restaurant at the same time. What kind of excuses this?We got no consideration no bottle of wine brought over to the table and totally unprofessional response.
Nice that desert was comped.
Food was delicious but small portions.
Dinner and drinks before a show. Food was good. Started with wagyu beef jerky. It was delicious! Starter was paired with a beer and what was supposed to be a Captain and Coke for me. Mr. Waiter dude, when specifically asked if you have Captain Morgan, do not respond "yes" and then bring your guest Sailor Jerry and assume its all good. They are not interchangeable. Annoyed. We had the tuna crudo - very light, almost non-existent on the tuna, beet salad - very tasty, and the pork chop. Delish! Our drinks were nearly empty when the food was dropped and we wanted to order more drinks, but after the food was dropped by the waiter without a single word to us asking if we needed anything, he disappeared not to be seen again. I stopped another server and asked to have our waiter sent over as we wanted to order drinks and this gentleman was kind enough to take our order and bring our drinks to us. The last time we saw our waiter it was "shall I bring you the bill" and no offer for dessert or whether we wanted anything else. Outside of what I would consider service that could have been better, it was an OK experience.
Innovative brunch menu with unusual and tasty offerings.
Great food and drinks, staff was very accommodating to get us all together.
Worst dining experience of my life. Will never go back.
Hadn't been to the restaurant for years - and it didn't disappoint! It was outstanding. We had a terrific server and the food was great! It was festive and fun and we had the best time. Will go back soon!
Park Tavern is one of my favorite places in SF. Every other time I have been there it was a 5. This time our service was mediocre. 3 of 4 of us got our drinks. Waiter spilled water on our table and just left it. Then 3 of 4 of us got our food. My polenta cakes were good but my salad had little or no dressing and I ended up choking on it. I tried my son’s eggs...very average. I tried my wife’s hash special...awful. I will try again but very surprised with quality of food and service. Also don’t remember it being so loud (piped in music).
Waaaay too expensive for four entre choices. I won’t be back. Oh yeah, and $14 valet fee.
