The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent. I can’t believe we found this diamond in the rough in El Paso of all places. Bravo!
Park Tavern was the first restaurant I dined at when I first visited El Paso so I was more than happy to spend my birthday dinner there. It was a great time, with great food and great people. The only thing I wish is that I reserved via my opentable account so that I could get a birthday surprise like I did when dining earlier. That was special. But park Tavern didn’t know so no harm there.
Ribeye was quite fatty
Beautiful woman on my side to go with a beautiful and tasty dinner.
Good food. Service was not the usual but not bad.
The food was delicious! Ambience was calming. I highly recommend this place!
Great food and service. Loved my scallops.
Food and atmosphere was wonderful as always! It’s always a treat for us to eat there.
Great food! The green beans were a bit too spicy for me, but enjoyed my meal!
Great food and lovely setting downtown.
It was a great experience. We got attended to immediately as we walked in and we were seated in less than 5 mins. Our table was sanitized and it had a flyer with the name of the person who sanitized it. Our waitress quickly attended to us with menus and took our drink order. Our food was served fairly quick and it was delicious!!! We will definitely return very soon!!!
Excellent service and food. So glad they are open again!
Both times I’ve been here the hostess’ aren’t very friendly or professional but once seated the staff is amazing along with the food. Mussels, lamb, and the swordfish were some stand out dishes, highly recommend them. Panhandlers outside, not super pleasant while waiting for your Uber.
I made 645pm reservations through Open Table, which states that restaurants generally hold the table for 15 minutes after the reservation time. Not so at Park Tavern. We ran 6 minutes late and were told there were no tables available. We were given the option of High Top Seating or sitting outside. I specifically did not choose High Top seating in the reservation, nor did I request outside seating. The High Top seating area is near the bar and provides absolutely no privacy between the two rows of high top tables that are only separated by a short barrier wall that is maybe 8 inches taller than the tabletop. We weren't sure who our server was because it took about 10 minutes before someone from the bar finally came over with menus. We ordered drinks and 3 starters. The drinks seemed to not have any alcohol. About 30 minutes after ordering, 2 of the 3 starter plates arrived. About 5 minutes later the 3rd starter arrived, but unfortunately wasn't what we had ordered. There would not have been any room for it on the small table even if it had been the correct order. I asked for the check and when the server brought it she told us that she had taken the liberty of removing the dish we didn't want off the check. It's not that we didn't want it, the order was incorrect! But, she told us, she really didn't care much herself for the one we had wanted.
So, now for the good. The duck tostones were excellent, as was the bruschetta.
I'm going to believe the issues we experienced were because there was a show at The Plaza Theater and they were swamped as a result. I was close to and facing the open kitchen and could see how busy they were. Most of the people left when we did and we all ended up in the line to enter the theater.
The food that I tried was good so I hope to return to Park Tavern to try other items from the menu. I'll just have to go on a less busy day.
Because of the issues experienced, I would not recommend Park Tavern at this time.
Great place; good food. Would definitely recommend an evening there.
Fantastic service, food and drinks but building needs some kind of noise buffer it was LOUD, some people just yell and scream when they are having fun (drunk). other than that great place.
Great place! Great wait staff. Also, The owner Came up to our table and I could tell that we were there celebrating something. He then was got us a bottle of wine on the house!
Actually too loud and seating configuration she be thought out better. Tables against wall sit you almost next to other people. You can hear their conversation and eat off their plate it’s so close. Appetizers are good but overpriced. Good buy on happy hour wine bottles. Makes me wonder why not just offer a fair price everyday as you know they are not losing money at 1/2 off, so just gouging at full price
I have always loved eating at this restaurant but this time was my last. My salmon was under cooked and bloody and the Brussels Sprouts were hard as a rich. So for 24.00 I ate mashed potatoes, the only edible thing on my plate. On top of that service was terrible! They weren’t prepared for the crowd that appeared.
We ate here 2X in the same week. On Saturday night our meal was outstanding; we tried the salmon and elk tenderloin because Chelsea our server recommended them. We paired the food with The Franc 2017 Cabernet Franc which was outstanding for the price. We sat at a booth in the middle of the restaurant and found the noise level tolerable. We returned on Tuesday night and our server Anthony recommended the lamb chops and chicken piccata. We liked The Franc so much that we ordered it a 2nd time. Our only complaints were the Brussel sprouts side dish and noise level. On Sat night the Brussel spouts were shaved and pan fried with bacon and delicious. However on Tues they were chopped in large chunks and not cooked through so they were hard to chew and not as flavorful as the Sat version. We sat in a booth located near the kitchen and were “treated” to kitchen staff and servers shouting at each other, music that was more appropriate for dancing than dining and the roar of a full house. Both our servers were delightful young people and we even got the struggling actor, singer, moviemaker server to sing for us! Next time we will request a table/booth up front and will specifically ask that the sprouts be shaved. Maybe they should use the recipe from 150 Sunset cuz those are the best in town. Bon Apetit!
Presentation was impeccable I would definitely recommend
We loved our visit to Park Tavern! The drinks, entrees and desserts were all delicious and our waiter was polite and attentive. The scallops and pork chop are both outstanding, but the bread pudding was the star of the show! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
Excellent food that arrives quickly and at the perfect temperature ready to eat.
The hosts and servers are not as experienced as you would expect with a $75 to $100 check.
Server was slow, forgot our appetizer. People who came after us got their food before us.
Made reservations for Valentine's Day after looking online at Park Tavern's menu. The nenu for Valentine's Day was specific for that evening. I feel a disclaimer should have been made that the menu would be different for that night. I didn't like any of the entree choices....elk, duck, swordfish, scallops...prime rib was offered but they were out. There wasn't one chicken dish offered. I ended up getting the shrimp alfredo and gave my shrimp to my husband. $25.00 for a small bowl of fettuccine. Had I known all of this, I would've made reservations elsewhere.
Great food and service as always at Park Tavern. Me and the wife love this place. One of our top 3 restaurants in town.
First time going here, the restaurant is really nice. The food was really good. I recommend the chicken piccata, it was delicious! Me and my significant other finished it off with the churro sundae which was sooo good! Definitely recommend this place!
Food and service was great. Music in the bathroom was just a little loud. One of the restroom stalls needed to be cleaned. Toilet paper was all over5he floor.
Parking is very difficult and could keep me away.
Great food and drinks. Service was good, too.
As usual food and drinks great! Our server was on point and friendly as always! Great place for any occasion!
This is the second time I've gone to Park Tavern and both times I was very happy with the food and service. Their food is very exceptional in accordance with the price point. The ambience is also spot on. I would highly recommend this place.
I've dined here before and it was a lot better!!! Maybe this last visit was a bad night...?
Third time here. Definitely worth returning.
Circular high seats block you from the ambiance and experience....
Great place to eat. Food was good, service was good. Nice atmosphere for a cozy dinner. A bit pricey, but worth the money!
Excellent food and service good value in downtown nice addition
Good food. Great place for drinks and dinner before a show at the Plaza Theatre
Extremely disappointing experience. We arrived at the end of happy hour and waited over long to be served. We ordered crab cakes which when arrived, were apparently previously frozen and not appealing. For dinner, I ordered a caesar salad and the filet. Again, the filet appeared to have been previously frozen. The salad resembled something out of a pre-packaged salad kit. My husband's pasta was underwhelming. We would not return.
Great food and service.
