Park Tavern Ratings and Reviews
Park Tavern is sooooo loud on a Friday evening that energetic is too mild a word to describe the level of noise coming from the area around the bar. It was even noisy outside. The meal, crab cake, chopped salad, burger, fabulous fries and chocolate peanut butter pie, was very good but the sound level, although we sat inside, made it very uncomfortable for us.
Absolutely horrible. We will never go there again. I'll tell everyone I know that this place is the worst. The restaurant was noisy, the seating arrangement was terrible. We were seated in the last table in front of the kitchen. Every waiter/waitress had to step around us and kept bumping into to us all night. The noise level was deafening. We both ordered Fish N' Chips. When the food arrived, my chips were burnt, and my wife's' fish was not cooked, in fact it was cold. We immediately complained to the waiter and he said he would bring us something else. We chose Potato au Gratin. When that arrived, that also was burnt and we complained again. The manager appeared and he stated that he would "comp" the Potato au Gratin, which was a substitute for the badly burnt chips, and only one fish portion??? Extremely unhappy and disappointed we left, feeling mistreated by the manager, who was not at all sympathetic and did not care that we did not enjoy our dining experience.
Justin was our server for lunch. He was knowledgeable about the food and menu, happily accommodated dietary restrictions, and was clearly willing and able to ensure we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The burger was super tasty -- cooked as requested high quality and flavorful beef. My companion had a turkey sandwich and side salad that she thoroughly enjoyed. French fries were OK, not remarkable. I have dined at Park Tavern once before with equally positive results and I will definitely return.
Our waiter was great! However, the brunch was really bad. Chicken in the chicken and waffles was a weird color dark meat. Hollandaise sauce for the egg Benedict was so solid it wouldn’t even spread. Would never come here for food! Only do drinks here. They did comp the chicken and waffles. Go next door to farmhouse which is amazing! We left brunch here and went to farmhouse!
I like the brunch at Park Tavern but the dinner we had there was really disappointing. I had a salad with grilled chicken that was incredibly bland and my husband ordered the ribs, which were a joke. Three huge bones with almost ZERO meat on them - maybe enough for two bites. He sent them back and got a burger instead, which was also just average.
We've been to the Park Tavern many times and have enjoyed it. However, our recent visit left us very disappointed. One of our dinners was returned to the kitchen ...twice ! At that time it wasn't worth re-ordering a third time since everyone else was finished eating.
