I've been trying to get here for years. I'm a member at the Botanical Gardens, but timing just hasn't been good. Really enjoyed it. Casual Dining at its finest!
Great location for a surprise birthday dinner. The menu selection has a wide variety for all guest.
Our service was in incredibly slow and our food wasn’t hot when brought out. I think we got our food over an hour after putting in our order.
Appreciated the ability to book a party over 12 on the app. When I did call to confirm and add additional guests (10 more!), Chris was very accommodating and friendly. He ensured I knew that the event at Piedmont Park we were there to see was cancelled due to inclement weather. He also asked for preferred table arrangement and noted that we were free to adjust upon arrival. Though the ambience isn’t exactly my fave compared to other Atlanta restaurants, I’ll continue to recommend to others for the location, the view and the ease of scheduling large groups.
If you love dogs it is wonderful! Like a puppy heaven. Even with the plastic tenting, it stays very warm. Nice place to watch the sunset but also any sporting event. Good food too!
Loved it and everyone in the party did too! Great prices great service. Love this venue and so close to the park!
Great great great
This is the first time we had eaten at Park Tavern. We always meant to try it, but just hadn't gotten around to it. When I saw the Groupon for Park Tavern, I didn't waste any more time...
My husband and I were pleased with the atmosphere downstairs on a Sunday evening. Out table was next to the fire pit, so it was especially cozy. Our waiter was experienced and knew what to recommend for us to try on the menu. We loved the stir fry with Thai fresh vegetables and salmon. My husband had the class double cheeseburger; it was OUTSTANDING. The meat is ground daily on the premises and you can certainly taste the difference.
Patrons were dressed comfortably and casually. Some customers brought their well-behaved dogs.
The only negative was that the TVs were turned up a little too high, as far as the volume was concerned. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he quickly made an adjustment.
We look forward to returning to Park Tavern on a Sunday evening in the near future. Well-done!
We made reservations and no one was at the desk to seat us, so we sat ourselves. It took a minute for the server to greet us, but afterwards she was very attentive. The food is good and offers an interesting variety from steak burgers, to tacos, and sushi. Prices are great, and the atmosphere is relaxed but beautiful. Great views overlooking piedmont park and the downtown skyline are just part of the appeal. The inside has stone floors, modern Edison bulb lighting, and fire pits. This place is dog friendly so don’t be surprised to see a few pets at neighboring tables. I was disappointed by the reception we received when we first entered, but ended up having a good experience. Me and my family will be back!
I loved this restaurant! Parking was reasonable! Food and drinks were excellent! I enjoyed my birthday!
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, and service from Patrick was great. We’ll be back
Great! I really enjoyed it!!!
A great casual place for lunch. Loved the rainy day $1 beers!
This is one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets with a notorious location and penchant for quality food, libations, and service. You can never go wrong at Park Tavern no matter the occasion.
We enjoyed our whole experience at Park Tavern. Because it’s winter time, the ice rink is open and I could feel a draft at our table. However, this is not enough to ruin my experience by any means. I would just recommend a light sweater or jacket.
Waited over 5 minutes to have a server even walk near us. Once our server came to us, the food came out quickly and was very good.
Two of our meals were wrong. Service was ok. It was piping hot in the outdoor/patio seating area.
Patrick and Sam are the best! We love this place because of them. Great service and food. We have been coming here for years and they make it special every time
Went there on a date with my boyfriend, great service and good food. The sushi is great
Food and service were great. The place was busy and the waitress, Olive, was attentive and responded promptly. Great place for a date or special event or even just grabbing a few beers.
Although we were all on separate checks and a large party, our server did a GREAT job! The food was very good!
Fabulous food! The kids love the Impossible Burger! The sushi is always so fresh and tasty. My favorite is the Surf and Turf roll. Tola was our server and she was most attentive! Great evening at Park Tavern.
We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the tatertots and tuna bowl.
Enjoyed a family gathering at the Park. Great people watching! The new Shrimp and Grits is delicious!!! The Incredible Burger-Wow! We all had tastes of it and it for sure tasted just like beef!!!! Great time and fun server!
Have you tried the Impossible Burger yet? It looks and tastes like beef but it is plant based!!!! Delicious flavor. Simply amazing! Great Service!
Sushi was delicious, service was very good, lovely views, of the city
Awesome atmosphere but that's about it. Appetizer came out quick but was lukewarm. Entrees came out almost 30 minutes apart, also lukewarm. I ordered sushi that was as small as nickels and more like an appetizer than an entree. This was my first visit and will be my last.
We've actually been to Park Tavern several times throughout the years, whether for ice skating or for just hanging out after the Peachtree Road Race on the 4th of July. We don't really think of Park Tavern as a place to go get dinner though. However, thanks to a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" coupon, we decided to check it out one night.
I was surprised to learn that they offer oysters and sushi, and after reading some reviews prior to dining there, the sushi is evidently pretty good. We decided to get some oysters, and they were served with house-made toasted pita chips, which I thought was a better alternative to the standard Saltine.
I opted to get the Classic American steakburger (I'd had sushi recently) and my wife got the tempura shrimp basket. She loved her meal and I was just so-so about my steakburger. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I also got a Park Tavern Summer Wheat, which was actually pretty good.
A cool promotion that I learned about while there is that if it rains (and they announce the promotion on Facebook and Twitter as "running" for that rainy day), you can get their house beers for $1 a pint.
I'd certainly go back to Park Tavern, but it's not at the top of my list. The views are terrific, but that's obviously something that appeals more to out-of-towners, tourists, and suburbanites than it does to us.
Park Tavern is not the restaurant for me. Not what I thought it would be. Will not be visiting again.
Grabbed a few drinks and food before Jazz Fest, great spot, fantastic service.
Park Tavern is the most convenient restaurant adjacent to Piedmont Park, so it made for a good launch-point for a beautiful day spent at the park. However, everything about the experience was commercial and kind of tacky, from the plastic Aquafina water bottles instead of tap water to the advertisements projected on the mirrors in the bathrooms. For a Sunday morning, right after opening, the bathrooms were also disappointingly dirty. The food was OK. Nothing to write home about, although the descriptions in the menu made it seem like it would be a lot more exciting. (I had the southern grilled cheese which had nondescript green tomatoes inside along with cheese that was supposed to be smoked cheddar but tasted like regular cheddar, and OK sweet potato fries; my husband had the steak burger which was disappointingly gristly, our friend had the sashimi bowl which was fine but not great, and our son had the chicken teriyaki which was also OK but had some gristle). For the prices, we also expected more food. For a morning family brunch, the music was overly loud, although the speaker system was good quality and sounded almost live. Like other restaurants adjacent to popular attractions (I'm thinking Times Square in New York or restaurants in the "music town" section of Nashville, Park Tavern seems overly geared toward tourists. We really wanted to love this restaurant, but we probably won't return anytime soon.
We went to Park Tavern for my daughter's 16th bday dinner with 15 friends. Girls had a great time. Service was great. The location was fantastic. Enjoyed seeing two different wedding parties. Lots of pictures with ATL skyline in background. And, price was reasonable.
Definitely recommend for a Birthday!!!
We had a party of 4 including myself, my husband and my parents who came in from out of town for my birthday. We had a reservation for 8:30pm. We got there at 8:15 and the hostess said no problem we have a table for you. Within the first 15 minutes of being there the busy inside quickly became empty which we thought would be great as far as getting food out quickly. Needless to say we ordered our meals at 8:30 and they didn't come out until 10pm and that was just the icing on top of the cake. Our food was cold. Our service was subpar. There were constant excuses as to why our food wasn't out. As I mentioned earlier by the time we ordered food there were maybe two other tables of people inside and they had already begun eating. Considering we live in midtown and this place is just a walk across the park I had high hopes but was very let down.
Park Tavern has the best view in town and the nicest service staff. We have been coming for seven years at least once a week. They have really good crafted beer, great cocktails and the food is always consistently good. Sam, the manager is a joy to be around and Michael and Patrick of the waitstaff are the best in town!
We have always had a great meal and a great time at Park Tavern. They have always accommodated our groups (6 to 12 people). There are various rooms and areas of this restaurant so you can ask to sit in the more intimate cozy bar area with great leather seating and fire place, or the open dining area that looks out onto Piedmont park and views of downtown/midtown, with an ice skating rink (set up thru mid-Feb every winter). I really like their sushi, but my husband and kids love the burgers, onion rings and fries. Great drink menu too.
Made a reservation almost 2 weeks ahead of time and when we arrived they didn't have a table ready and said they would "see if they could find enough chairs"
Enjoyable time. Ice skating line was super long and not really worth the wait but the kids loved it!
Delicious sushi and appetizers. Great drinks, wonderful view. Right in the Park setting. Really enjoyed it.
Great service and food, every time! Best view in the city
Great food, good ambience
