PARK Restaurant & Bar’s menu of playfully reinvented classics like the Meat Pie of the Day and the PARK Patty Melt are served late into the night, providing a welcomed atmosphere for lingering and relaxation. Excellent experience during restaurant week. Selections were excellent, from first of duck with warm greens, mains of swordfish with parsnip sauce and steak, and desserts of churros with chocolate sauce and cake topped with ice cream. Service was just right - attentive without being suffocating. Will definitely be back!
Overall, dinner was fine. My friend's meal was very good. My steak, however came out very rare, when I asked for medium. I asked them to just to cook it for a bit more but they remade my whole meal. I also think they forgot me, as it took 30 minutes for my food to come back. Unfortunately I watched my friend eat and he watched me eat. Still, when my food did arrive it was very tasty. To their credit they also took it entirely off of the bill, which was appreciated. Also, the parking garage was free when dining there so that was a huge bonus. I would give it another try next time I'm in the square.
Crowded and noisy at 6pm on a Saturday night. We had a reservation but we still had to wait 20-25 minutes to be seated. Staff were great, however. They were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We told them we had an 8pm show, and they served our order super-sonic fast.
We loved the vib, the chicken wings and the buffalo cauliflower appetizers!
Excellent food and atmosphere in Harvard square, hard to be beaten.

This place is definitely geared toward a younger crowd.
It would probably be ok as a neighborhood bar. The drinks and the appetizer were ok.
Our table was in the dark, and as mature patrons, we had to dig our phones out for flashlights.
The service was very slow, even as far as coming around an offering another round of drinks.
The Cesar salads were doused with a creamy dressing and there were shaved strips of Parmesan on top as well as toad in the hole toast instead of croutons. Overall not appetizing.
The clam chowder was primarily bacon bits and potato, with precious few clams.
This is a failing of many restaurants. The best chowders are usually at seacoast restaurants.
I really liked the food and the atmosphere. Just not a place to have a first date. It was really loud but will say it is a very comfy restaurant and the staff was friendly and the service prompt.
Fine but nothing to get excited about. The menu has a lot of interesting sounding options, but nothing we had was all that great. Nothing bad, but nothing I'm eager to go back for.
Nice restaurant with reasonable prices. Noise level can get a little high at night, but a good place for a group meal.
We were staying in Boston (Cambridge area). We tried this restaurant the first night and LOVED it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The second night, we tried another restaurant but the place was so unwelcoming and pretentious that we Ubered back to Park. We were NOT disappointed. Again, the staff, service and food was EXCELLENT. We highly recommend that you try it!
The issue with PARK is its limited menu, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions. They have a 1 page menu that does not indicate which items conflict with food allergies/intolerances, and the server was not aware what was gluten free or could be made gluten free (although she did a little research and get back to us). As it turns out, there were very few things to choose from. For a nice place in Harvard Square I expected more diet awareness and options. (But if you really like bread go for it!)
Other than that, the prices were pretty good and service was quick. It's noisy though. Very dim lighting.

I never knew this restaurant existed here in Harvard Square. The food was wonderful and the ambiance cozy and warm. My friend and I decided we weren't going to tell anyone about Park because we want it all to ourselves! This is our new favorite restaurant!!!
Brunch has certainly gone downhill here. Everyone ordered the same classic breakfast and got the same cold sausage, toast without butter - got looked at like we were odd for asking for jam - which was brought out as blueberry syrup. Tiny (<12oz) pours for $9 milk stouts. Very little value. Nice people and warm, cozy space - but the place was dead.
Not a great experience. Host was terrific, seating us close to on time on a frenzied Saturday night. Getting service was grueling. Our drink order came way after our food. Granted Saturdays are busy, so staff your restaurant accordingly. I doubt it was a surprise. Food was just so so. Well priced though for Harvard Square. All in all, I doubt I will return, at least on a busy night.
Food was great. The tasting of toasts app was absolutely delicious. Drinks were a bit pricey for the size but overall good. Service was definitely slow and our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed/frazzled at times. We were probably seated for at least 10 minutes before he came over. Drinks took forever to arrive. He asked us if we wanted to put food in even after we had ordered. Thankfully once we finally ordered the food did come out in a timely fashion and was very tasty.
This is the place I met my now husband at for our first date. We come back every year...or more. Each time we come, something is always off. It was loud, which is ok...it’s Harvard Sq on a Saturday. My drink took a while, our app took a ridiculous while (they ended up removing both from the bill without us asking) and our entrees were good, except my salmon was missing the actual flavor (maple sriracha) it was supposed to have. Service was tough for everyone around us.
Good food and decor. Music made it almost impossible for a table of four to have a conversation. Will definitely go back, but will ask for a table that is not so close to a speaker.
The New England clam chowder was underseasoned and stodgy.
The Shepherd's Pie featured ground beef (making it a cottage pie) that felt grainy in the mouth. The filling was underseasoned. The pastry crust was satisfyingly crispy if also lacking for salt.
The service was both timely and friendly despite the absolutely packed house.

Somehow the photos and menu make it seem a little higher class than it really is. Think of it as a college dinner spot. The food is just ok. Decent but not exactly gourmet. Service was probably the best thing about the place - hostess was super friendly and I liked the young lady who was my server as well. Not really worth the price but not the worst place I've been to.
Overall our experience was good and I'd go back. We were seated promptly at a large table in the corner, as requested. A Wednesday night, it wasn't super busy, but there were several other tables occupied and folks at the bar. We ordered drinks, which came promptly, the cheese board and our entrees, which all came our rather fast surprisingly. The runner didn't know what the local cheeses were beyond hard and soft, so I asked her to find out and come back. The server came back and sort of explained the cheeses. She knew that they came from Vermont and were cow's milk. (Though the "triple cream" as she called it tasted more like a goat milk.) There was a lot of berry jam, dried fruit, fig, strawberry and granola on the board. Would have been nice to have a suggestion pairing or 2 from the server, like "the dried apricots go well with triple cream." I ordered the shepherd's pie, which was a unique presentation. Looked like a loaf of bread on my plate, with a tiny ramekin of peas on the side and a gravy boat of sauce. I guess I was supposed to pour the sauce onto the bread and call it shepard's pie. The filling was very bland ground beef, peas, and a thin layer of mashed potato at the bottom. Underwhelming. Other guest ordered bolognese. That was good, but suspiciously looked like the same ground beef in my pie. Our friends arrived later. Had to flag the server for service. She came and took orders. Not much for beer recommendations. Then we had a longer wait until the food was served. The soup was served at the same time as the entree, which annoyed our friend. Rightly so, the soup could have easily come out before the entree, so he could eat it before... He said the soup and pork chop were good. Rest of the night was uneventful. Our server left at some point without a good bye. No dessert menu. Ambiance was good, dark, a bit loud. Value average, $20+ entrees, $14 cheese plate. Hope manager trains all staff on the menu. Hostess was great, friendly, courteous.

Smelled of cleaning fluid as we entered. Dining room were tattered, Food average.
Pre dinner did not disappoint. We were a party of 8 and we were treated like royals. I should have ordered the meat pie, you should.
I met work colleagues - there were 6 of us - for a pre-holiday dinner with drinks. The food was great (several of us had the chicken - yum!), the drinks were great, the service at the bar and at the table was also great. We will definitely return.
We really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The manager was able to consolidate our reservations to one area so our group could sit in close proximity.

My family and I had a great Thanksgiving dinner at PARK this year. Our server was attentive and friendly. Everyone was happy to have their traditional turkey dinner, while I enjoyed the half chicken entree instead. The pumpkin cheesecake for dessert was everyone's favorite!
Great food and drinks, super location
We came here for brunch on Saturday, and we're almost the first to be seated. While the place was mostly empty, it took 50 minutes for food to arrive. Ok, but strange.
My eggs Benedict were overcooked, almost hard boiled eggs. The French toast was really delicious - highly recommend it over Benni. The service was very nice and attentive, the interior has interesting accents, and overall a pleasant place.
The drinks are expensive. The service is slow, and inconsistent. We placed our drink order upon arrival. Our friend arrived a solid five minutes after us, and received his drink several minutes before us. The space is nice. The servers are pleasant, but the service itself seems unplanned. The tab was quite a surprise, considering the experience. I wish I had read other reviews that echoed my sentiments, especially since our friend was visiting from out of state. Harvard Square abounds with options, and this was clearly not the best choice fo the dollar.
Went for brunch and had decent food and drinks. But the latte I had was terrible and was pretty much warm milk served in a cup that was barely rinsed in espresso. Love the ambiance, great service, and solid selection of brunch fare, just perk up the coffee options.
